It’s envy is what it is, truly a terrible thing. Not only are NATO’s weapon platforms the best in the world, bar none, NATO is also an alliance of countries that actually want to be allied to one another and not some shitty little collection of puppet states who flee to other blocs for protection the second they’re allowed to because they know their old overlord wants to bring them all to heel.

If the biggest force currently in NATO has an executive leader who sides against NATO, for reasons that benefit that person alone, then they are not worth my vote into that oval office, in that White House. They could try to bring the warring states to the table, but under no circumstances should Trump go into the talks with any thought that Russia should gain anything from this conflict they started. At the very least, Ukraine should get back all territory and their captured soldiers from pre-February of 2022 to present, while Russia gets back all of their soldiers captured by Ukraine. Better result, Russia signs for an end to all hostilities- meaning Ukraine and Russia are no longer in a ceasefire like they were from 2014-2022- and Russia gives back everything their military has set foot onto since early-2014. If the biggest force currently in NATO has an executive leader who sides against NATO, for reasons that benefit that person alone, then they are not worth my vote into that oval office, in that White House. They could try to bring the warring states to the table, but under no circumstances should Trump go into the talks with any thought that Russia should gain anything from this conflict they started.
At the very least, Ukraine should get back all territory and their captured soldiers from pre-February of 2022 to present, while Russia gets back all of their soldiers captured by Ukraine. Better result, Russia signs for an end to all hostilities- meaning Ukraine and Russia are no longer in a ceasefire like they were from 2014-2022- and Russia gives back everything their military has set foot onto since early-2014. Best outcome is all that from before, and Putin stands trial before the ICC, removed of his presidential status. (The last part wouldn't fix all that is wrong in Russia's government, but I'd bet a lot of sanctions would be lifted from Russia if they just got someone new, who doesn't have ties to the current leadership.)
