    Hi Tim, you have helped me a lot with every common issue on my 6-series and thank you for taking the time to make these videos. I am just curious if you know anything about programing the convertible top to close with the key fob. Thank you in advanced!

    Tim, I really enjoy your insights into all things BMW especially because I own a 2007 BMW 650i that is saphire black metallic with cream beige interior. I do have 2 questions: 1. My interior plastic parts, specifically the ones that run along the side of the interior of the car at the bottom have discolored and turned a sort of orange. You have the same color interior and was wondering if you have any suggestions to bring the color of the beige plastic back to original? 2. In my front headlight assembly, the area in which the turn signals reside have somehow collected a nasty collection of insects. Any recommendations on how to clean that area? Thanks in advance, Tim. Tom R.

      @TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation  Год назад

      Hello Tom, try IPA on a cloth for the plastic. For the headlights you need to remove the Xenon bulbs and the Halo bulb and then blast it out with an airline - it's the only easy way

    Can you code coming home lights on key rather than the main beam pull after you remove key from ignition.
    I think your front turns won’t work as not original LED but I think LCI would work.

    Hi Tim, thanks for your videos. I have a question if it is possible to adjust the Angel eyes to make them shine brighter, I replaced the bulbs with those you recommended in previous films, but they do not shine too brightly. You look as if they shine brighter. I have one more question when starting the car, I have such a nice option that Angel eyes twinkle alternately, is it possible to set it somewhere.Regards

    Hi Timm, I just watched the episode with the Carly device and thought I'd pick your brain, if you allow.
    I'm the proud owner of a 2008 650i cab, like yours, but mine is Monaco Blue. I've owned it since 2013 and still love the car.
    What happened is my wife just got the latest Ford Ranger Raptor which runs Android Auto, wirelessly, so our Spotify runs as soon as we get it and Google Maps too.
    I would love to have that in my car, can Android Auto be fitted in the 650?
    Please advise, much obliged.

    • @TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation

      There's nothing you can do OEM, but there are some Chinese suppliers that do Android head units. It's not something I have any experience of though

      @@TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation Many thanks for the reply, after a bit of searching it looks like there are many options available incl some very good chinese makes.

    Hi Timm. The seller of a 645ci cabriolet told me that the car's rear window broke. Thus the roof cannot operate . The car has 185k kms in the clock.
    What's your take in this?

    • @TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation

      Yes, if the rear window does not drop then the soft top will not open - check that the boot (trunk) opens

    Hey Tim. I have a question to my E31 840Ci from 94. My engine doesnt start very well when its hot, means when Oil (not water) reach 90 degrees or something around that. It starts within 10 minutes perfectly, but after 10-15 minute it needs up to 10 seconds. After 8 hours its start perfectly but at the next day it needs again some seconds to start.
    I measured the petrol pressure and its going down within 5-10 seconds to 0 bar after switch off. I replaced the pressure control in the rail, the petrol filter and the pump. The problem still exists without change.
    There ist only one thing left in my opinion: The injectors. Is the result of my problem a leaking injector? Whats your opinion about that? The strange thing is, it came "over night" / exist since a 200km trip.
    Also my idle (600rpm) is a little bit rough. Like one cylinder doesnt ignite completely every 2-3 crankshaft rotations. And I have really cool misfires (one loud, dump explosion) when I give gas after thrust cutoff (around 2400rpm in gear 1-4 or every time in 5th gear with active torque converter bypass.

    • @TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation
      @TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation  2 года назад

      Yes, you could have an injector that is leaking, but I would suspect that there would be a strong smell of fuel at start-up if that was the case - can you smell raw fuel?

    • @HriznDE
      @HriznDE 2 года назад

      @@TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation Hard to say but I would say Yes. Some Days Ago I reved up after start-up (I love Eisenmann) for friends and there was a big fuel smell. All of us smelt a increased amount of fuel.

    Similar question as j's. Will Carly recode a replacement ABS module on a 530 E39? I've just replaced mine and it needs recoding. I see there are a number of other programs, NCS Expert, SSS Program, Tool 32, ISTA. Well outside my comfort zone but I'm happy to give it a go. It's a common enough BMW problem, so has anybody done this and which program did you use?
    Perhaps it could be a video for Timm's BMW Repairs and Information channel, hint, hint :)

    • @TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation
      @TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation  2 года назад +1

      Hello Andy, no, not a chance, Carly hardly works with the E38 and E39 - but, the good news is that an ASC+T module does not need coding - I take it your E39 is pre 1998?
