I’m wondering if that’s why mine is clicking I hope it doesn’t break and do I need to call the dealership about that recall or because they’ve replaced this same axle when I got the car 5 years ago
Yeah I got mine going in to be inspected on Wednesday. They used the wrong lubricant. So any 2013-2016 Honda accord sold in a salt belt state has a recall on it. They aren’t automatically replacing it. They’re inspecting it for rust and wear. If there’s over a certain amount of wear then they replace both sides. My car’s making a knocking sound when I hit bumps. I was thinking maybe the strut was bad on the passengers side but when I got the tire off it seemed fine. But there was rust on the drive shaft and when I jerked it back and forth it made the same tone of sound as when I hit a bump. So I’m betting that’s it. I typed my VIN# in and bam recall. I called the dealership and they got me an appointment 5 days later right after Memorial Day weekend. So I’ll be extremely happy if they say it’s covered by the recall.
There’s a recall on 2013-2016 Honda accords that were sold in the salt belt states. Apparently they didn’t use proper lubricant on the driveshaft. So they’ll inspect it and if they find wear then they’ll replace both sides for you. Good luck!
interesting...I have a 2014 sport 6speed and my passenger axle snapped in half a couple weeks ago just like the one in the video ( apparently didnt fall under their recall)
I tried to DIY this job and it took me a whole 10 hours. This fucker did it in like 10 mins. He has a lift and fancy tools but fuck it's still impressive.
I’m a entry level tech, And I’ll never forget doing my first axle replacement and I could get it to match the splines . Love your videos!!!!!!
Straight to it and none of that drama, I feel you. God bless
Quick and to the point. Did you know it is a recall on the drive shaft that could break? First time to see it broke.
My just broke same way today,Smh

Thanks brah. I figured it'd look like this, but it's nice to get the confirmation. Gonna work on it today.

Quick and easy.
Thank you!
A few bolts to that lower control arm and drop it. Super easy and less banging and prying
Good video and information, but you should have cleaned off the wd40 of the rotor with some brake clean.
Thanks for the tutorial. You made this look too easy.
Love the video bro! Short and to the fucking point with the same language I use when working on cars 😂
Professional as always
Yup specially the part when he leaves all the lube ,grease and oil all over the rotor

Good video but thread the nut back on the lower ball joint a little bit in case you miss when swinging your hammer 😂
Yes good tip for you 👍🏼
Your videos are entertaining
Hi does this version Accord have the fork from the strut that joins the lower arm. I couldn't see it in your video. Thanks
This gen Accord does not use the wishbone-type suspension.
Thanks for the video my daughters 2014 snapped in half also. I thought the transmission went out.
Was supposed to be a recall on that year for those. 2013-2015.. Seems to be a common issue.
Mines too,was dam my trans.Smh
I felt sorry for the car but the video is very informative nevertheless.
awesome thanks for making this video.
Perfect, thanks for the vid
Thanks nice work and well explained!
Do you not put grease ???
Thank you 🫡

🧐🧐🧐2017 sport and my passenger is clicking now. Getting it changed out today
@هـجر M'3 changed the axle and ball joint… still clicking when i turn the wheel. Thinking maybe the rack & pinion 😩
@هـجر M'3 no lights were on before or after
Right..seems way too common with the 2013-2015 for some not to be under the shaft recall. Exact same thing continues to happen.

lol how much did u pay for the parts?
Beautiful 😍
WHAT THIS REPLACED BECAUSE IT WAS MAKING A CLANKING SOUND?
It’s called a drive axle
HI LEEK IVE BEEN SICK
This does not apply to 2018 models. That is 10th gen Accord.
Where are you from?
Step 1: buy a car lift
Wrong technique. Should have cleaned of WD40 from brake rotor.
I will never never never!!!! Never gonna take my car to you
Why ?
He must wanted to bring it to me so bad then changed his mind. Weirdo lol
@@Gst.Academy101 you see how he hit the thing with the hammer?
@@dopeztv8068The other instructional video had the mechanic hitting it the exact same way.
@@Leekautorepairthanks for sharing, method seemed to work just fine. Common issue with those vehicles.
