    Excellent information !!!! I should have no problem completing this job. It's probably my 20th Axle replacement in my life time. But a fool thinks he knows it all, and I am not a fool. Thanks, for your great info!🤗😇

    This video helped me to do my cv axel replacement. But there were a few tools that were unspecified for this repair. So i had to do a trial an error method to see which one fits the axle which exhausting. If you give the specific description of each of the tools for a lot of beginners to see. I'm positive that it will have a great affect.
    Ex. You talked about the axle nut being removed with your impact drill, but you didn't specify which size impact socket would fit for this year and model neither. Or whether the impact drill needs a certain size adaptor.
    Overall. Thank you for making this video! 🙏🏽💯 @ceas

    Gives me me flash backs to last year when I installed some lowering springs and in the process ripped my outer cv axle boots. The tried to replace them myself and destroyed the axles in the process. A tow to the dealership 5 days and 1100 dollars later my car was fixed.

      Also, did U go with oem axles or not? If not how does it ride? Make any noise or can u not tell the difference

      @@officialgizzy8155 If you follow the steps of this video, you will be safe to replace it yourself. I went with O Reilly's Import Direct axle PT#HO8680 in the video. There is no difference at all with noise or handling. A lot of OE parts were on backorder, including axles. Just take your time and be patient, and you will be okay.

    What were the symptoms of the bad axel? My 17' Si is shaking every 2 seconds while driving. Shaking is noticable at 65+ mph.

    Great video, I just had to remove the driver side CV axle on my Son's 2016 Civic to replace a torn outer boot. I knew trans fluid would come out when I pulled the axle but I got quite a bit. By the time I got a catch can under it I got close to 400~500ml. Do I need to be concerned that I lost that much? Do I need to top it off with maybe half a quart or just leave it alone?

    Great content on how to replace the axle! Getting ready to replace mine…same side. So basically, to separate the axle from the intermediate shaft, you need to pry it apart? Will the intermediate shaft be pulled from the transmission? Also, not necessary to drain the transmission? Thanks for your help.

    • @CEASUSA
      @CEASUSA  Год назад

      You are correct, and no need to drain.

    So I got my axles replaced for both sides and I didn’t buy OEM. After a month or so my car started to shake between 40-50 mph (but after 50mph the shaking would go away) could the cv axle be the problem? I’ve checked everything and it seems fine I just don’t know what to do at this point.

    Good video and explanation on how to this job. Not adding in the torque specs for the axle nut (181ft/lbs) and the lower ball joint (47ft/lbs) kinda make this incomplete and I’ve got to look at comments like this or other people’s videos.
