Another great review from a nice listener. Thank you, Sir. In 2009 I met one of my music heroes - Daryl Hall. I participated in his #LiveFromDarylsHouse show. We recorded a live version of, “Sara Smile.” The gentleman in this video gave me a complement but I will be the first to say that I do not come toe-to-toe with #DarylHall. I know singing. I’ve studied it. I’ve been singing for a while and Daryl Hall is one of the greatest singers on the planet. There’s not too many people or anyone who can come toe to toe with him. Thanks for listening/watching.
Well Jimmy, please take the compliment as I think you deserve it. Everyone involved did a great job on a really good version of “Sarah Smile” here. That includes you and you did sing it fantastically. I’m personally not very much into country music, but I do feel, hear and understand the soul that real country artists put into their music and that’s also what you did here. This is a fantastic rendition of the song and you have all the reason to be proud of it and accept all the compliments. 😊👏🏼
Love your singing Jimmy & what you did with this song in this video and with your recording & video you did for country music as well! God bless you, sir!!!
Daryl’s House has so many artists on there. Jimmy Wayne is a country singer but he has artist from many genres. Daryl is also very generous letting his guests take center stage with his music!!
Daryl is a great guy,he allows these singers and musicians on cause he loves to play along with them,Daryl is a cool cat and a real nice man for doing this, Daryl' knows he's getting older and many of us singers loose our voices and some worse than others but Daryl can still sing wonderful, Jimmy is alot younger and makes a big difference! Your all very talented and I love music so much!
When I discovered all the Live From Daryl's House videos on YT a few years ago, I fell in love immediately. Always been a Hall & Oates fan, but seeing those performances was like being a fly on the wall as a bunch of killer musicians were just jamming together. The level of talent is never less than stellar, but the attitude of everybody who came on his show (as well as from Daryl himself) was that of someone who simply loved music. I don't think I've seen a bad performance from all that I've watched.
I agree whether it was the O'Jays with Daryl or Cee Lo Green or Rob Thomas Daryl always had a great lineup and on this song he provided the high (falsetto) harmony

Jimmy Wayne, thank you for sharing your musical talents with the world! Daryl Hall is a legend and to have been able to sing with him, and his song, must’ve been a once in a lifetime opportunity for you. My mother’s side of the family is from North Carolina. I have reviewed and studied your history and you my friend are making a difference in this world. You have a God given talent that thankfully you share with the rest of the world. While I am not a professional singer, I have sung all of my life. Music is something I cannot live without. Thank you for sharing your music with me! You songs “Stay Gone” and “I Love You This Much” touches my heart in ways you will never know. That is one of the beautiful things about music. Please never stop sharing your musical talents with the world! God Bless You Jimmy Wayne! LadyGator1983🐊🐊🐊 (Tina)
The Daryl's House Series is just great, raw, laid back and plain fun. The person/people who do the sound, recording and engineering of these performances to a finished high quality song are amazingly skillled.
Beautiful. We named our daughter Sarah after this song. Another great set from Daryl's House was The O'jays. Duets of "For The Love of Money" and "She Used to be My Girl" are so enjoyable. Thanks Harri. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
One word..... AMAZING. I've heard several versions of this song but this is probably my favorite. For Daryl to invite someone to take the lead on this iconic song is fantastic. This song is decades old and it sounds better than ever.
Only history will judge the greatness of what Daryl Hall has done, both in musical performance but in his show too! We’ll look back, some do now, and the brilliance of “Daryl’s House” is going to be bigger then, because it otherwise just isn’t happening!!!
Think I've seen just about every video from Daryl's, great musicians, doing live stuff is a joy to watch and listen too, Daryl Hall is a huge talent, very versatile.
I love Jimmy Wayne! Here’s some history on him. Jimmy Wayne Barber is an American country music singer and songwriter. He released his self-titled debut album in 2003 on the DreamWorks Records label. Four singles were released from it, including "Stay Gone" and "I Love You This Much", which both reached Top Ten on the Billboard country charts. Born: October 23, 1972 (age 49 years), Kings Mountain, NC Jimmy Wayne is a former foster kid turned award-winning country recording-artist whose songs and story highlight his mission to raise awareness for children in foster care. Jimmy’s hits include “Stay Gone,” “Paper Angels,” “I Love You This Much” and “Do You Believe Me Now,” which earned BMI’s prestigious Million-Air Award for receiving more than one million radio spins in America. In 2009, Jimmy toured with Brad Paisley and recorded “Sara Smile” with rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame duo Daryl Hall and John Oates.
@@DanFan2042 God Bless You! I’ve researched Jimmy and all that he does for the foster care system. For that, I love him so much! I wish more people would get involved. And yes, Stay Gone is one of my favorites! His sister helped with this one, because it was about her relationship.
Live at Daryl's house was a gem man, a gem. So many great performances on that show, it was a blessing to music lovers. Please please check out Live at Daryl's House featuring Johnny Swim and the song 'Do What You Want, Be What you are'. It's a great song and a great performance, you won't be disappointed. The chick in the video, in the black and white polka dot dress is Donna Summers daughter.
Darryl House is definitely worth a look. Jimmy Wayne was entering into his success as a Country Artist. He wanted to bring attention to homeless teens. He was once homeless. The Nashville Machine didn't like him taking time off from his career. Such a shame. He is such a talented man. Great reaction Harri.
I was thinking the same thing exactly bro,Jimmy blew that song away and Daryl knew it,can Jimmy hit them notes,I loved it and listed 15 times and what you said about the fellow playing the violin that took the song to a higher level indeed, Great stuff I was waiting to see what you was going to say and you and I were 100%, Bless you brother, love you in Christ!
First of all, Daryl's House never blocks videos. He's owns his music, and makes the decision. His LFDH is ground breaking. Has won Webby awards. He has old legends like Smoky Robinson, and new stars like Jimmy Wayne.
Harry if you want to watch a bunch of OUTSTANDING musicians having the time of their lives you MUST do a reaction video for Hit The Road Jack at Daryl's House with Nick Waterhouse! TOOOO much fun!!!!!!!
Sigh 😞Just seeing Tom "T-Bone" Wolk again in this video, the acoustic guitar player makes me sad. Gone much too soon. Still a very nice rendition of the song.
Never heard of Jim but Wow? His voice is great. Surprised Darryl let him lead. To me this is as good or better than the original. Something that Linda Ronstadt and Dusty Springfield are noted for.
Jimmy Wayne spent most of his childhood in Foster Homes. He went on to work as a Security Guard, walked cross county to raise money for Foster kids., wrote a book Walk To Beautiful. Today he is an award winning country artist.
Another fabulous episode of LFDH features Mayer Hawthorne (great singer) and Booker T. Jones on organ: "I Can't Go for That" ruclips.net/video/8t2s9HSrkl8/видео.html
Daryl let Jimmy do his thing because Jimmy did a version of the song on his third album. It was a reinterpretation on which Daryl and John sang backup vocals.
Awesome, Jimmy Waunakee is a sensational singer and songwriter. He blew this one out of the stratosphere! And he's a local boy to my home town, so O know he's a humble good fella.

You are underappreciated. Stay Gone is one of my favorite songs. I hope you are well.
This has to be one of the best redition of any song Jimmy Wayne with great vocals and soul accompanying the legendary Daryl Hall and great musicians.

I'm glad that you have discovered Live From Daryl's House. Ceelo Green was on the show and did amazing versions of "Crazy" and "F' You"!

Jimmy Wayne had several Country hits in the US. He should have been a huge star, instead he's a good human being raising money for Foster kids.
Sublime ,magistral Darry Hall ,grand duo y esta perfeccion interpretación.

Great choice Ladygator. Any Hall and Oates song is a winner in my book. Thanks Prince Harri. You'll always be royalty in my book. 🤴👍😉🔥🌏🇺🇸🇨🇦🇬🇧🕊️
I'm loving that you have found Daryls House. Get ready for some amazing music from many talented artists. Everyone would love being Daryls neighbor!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! You listened! And Daryl is so generous he actually sang back up on Jimmy Wayne's CD of BEAUTFUL music.
This is a beautiful song and a beautiful rendition.
Who in the blue moon is Jimmy Wayne?😊 Man, he did a fantastic job along with Darryl!! Definitely one of my favorite songs ever!!!!!
Jimmy Wayne with Daryl ... what a duo🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️

Daryl's house sessions are amazing! "Had I known your better then" is a must see!
Wow I just love this song. ❤️
The best ever with the fiddle
Great reaction, thank you lady gator83 great choice!!!!
I absolutely love this song. Jimmy took it to a whole different level though. He covered this song, but his version was more of a country.
I agree with you this is one of the rare cases of the cover being better, this was so good

Jimmy Wayne is a real one. He didn't take that fame from this. He lived life after this and God knows where he is now
And by the way, sample more of Jimmy Wayne. Think you'd like him.
React to more Daryl's house they don't block realtors
Jimmy was doing such a good job that Daryl knew to leave the man to do his thing
This hearkens back to '70s r&b, that music I love so much; but I prefer the original. This is too countrified for my taste. Great song.
