Dave is hands down one of the best drivers out there. No matter what car he is in and what setup it has, he is always one of the fastest and most consistent.

I think we all knew this was coming. He wasn't getting the results with the Procharged combination and everyone knows if Dave isn't competitive, he will do what he has to do to run with the pack. No doubt he will be a threat now. He's a hell of a driver
She switched because the procharger upgrade that he wanted to make didnt fit, so he went turbo! What an excuse, lol!
James Richie I agree. Dave could have went with a bigger Procharger. But, he didn't want his car to have a ridiculously long front-end. Like Shawn Wilhoit's Camro. I like it, that Dave wants to keep his car looking somewhat original.

I take great enjoyment in the fact that Dave tried everything before going twin turbo. He really didn't want to, but knows it's the only way to go really fast consistently
All those years smack talking the turbo cars. He has seen the light! Turbos to the front
Put him in a stock 1992 Prelude and he'll figure out a way to get it to number 1. I have never seen a car with that much bite making that much power go that straight on a consistent basis. It didn't matter when it was on nitrous, Procharged or now turbo, whoever sets that chassis up is a wizard.

I remember in 2017 when he went procharger he said he would never go twin turbo and I thought to my self never say never and sure it enough he is now twin turbo

I think he found the limits of the procharger, and realized that in his situation it wasn't going to be enough.
Hes been saying that forever. Remember that anti turbo sticker he put on the sonoma haha. Im glad he changed though, he can now be more competitive at the no preps
I think if he was able to use the biggest procharger system he would of stuck wit it but in order to use it hed have to add over a foot to his front chassis to make room to fit that big ass unit.
Yep. He did a reveal video. The larger procharger would have made him extend the front end by several inches. The only way to increase his HP and keep his factory length was to switch to Twin Turbo. Or keep his latest procharger setup and keep losing no prep kings.

My how the times have changed, he went from having a no turbo sticker on the Sonoma when he was driving it to having essentially a belt driven turbo on Goliath and now actual twins..

Seems Daddy Dave is now up there with the elite, Ryan Martin, Birdman, Mike Murillo n Larry Lawson + the secondary fast cars like 2-Chucks n the rest. He found the 3 tenths of a second he needed. Keep the tires down n roof up.

Car looks great. Noticed there seems to be a bit of twist on launch. Lots of frame to work with, tighten that shyte down as nothing good will come of it left unaddressed, and it will be quicker when fixed. Other than that, it looks a beast!

Keep in mind the quickest accelerating thing on land is a top fuel dragster and to date no top fuel car is running turbos Dave should have set the motor back for a bigger procharger blowers to the front all the way. Until I see a top fuel running turbo set up I seriously doubt them !
It's extremely difficult to meter nitromethane to a turbo, that's why they run tried and true roots blowers..... as for alcohol and race fuel, nothing makes more power than a turbo

Stop the vid at 3:10, we can see the wheelies back on the track and the tire marks show he lost traction as the car humps up grabbing for another handfull 'a asphalt.
But will the 88's and weight break be enough to contend with the big 98's and monster singles??? Either way it's gonna be fun to see.
I think he made a mistake not going with 98's. He will have to lean on the 88s to make the same power 98s would have made at lower boost. Just my opinion, but gents do think that trough sometimes. Love the car, love the combo and Dave is squared away. Gonna hurt feelings. Hope he carries a box of tissues he can hand to the other drivers.
He should do OK with the 88s and weight break if I'm not mistaking I think that's what Chuck runs and I think the fireball camaro the same and the 2 of them be flying. That weight break help's out a lot more then what people think. Look at Larry Larson s10 with the single turbo he did that to save weight and Larry Larson s10 is the only thing that can hang with the fireball camaro.
@@matthewvarnam4302 chuck gets the huge weight break for being a true small block. 2550-2650lbs with the big block Dave still has to weigh 2900. The single turbo guys are 2575- 2675 depending on body mods. On the street with no weight breaks he could be a contender, but at npk probably not top teir.

Sorry guys, but I loved her as a nitrous car. Even when she was procharger I felt she was less of a street car.
All I have to say is that Dave is one bad ass driver. Watch out 405, number 1 coming up to challenge the #1 Chief of the 405. Can’t wait till the new season starts. Murder #1 Dave #2 Chief #3, but it will be the Murder or Dave at #1 at the end of the season. If Murder Nova can get his car dialed in by the start of the season. It will be up for the grabbing. My opinion!!
Lol Doc is the only one still tearing up his motors with nitrous. The last No2 car is gonna fall right off that list. If Farmtruck goes boost it's over for Mr. Love
