    Bruce Lee is the most important and influential person in my life outside of my immediate family. I was seriously ill as a child and i was obsessed with Bruce. I was allowed as a 7 year old kid 36 years ago to watch his hardcore movies in hospital with special permission. I was totally paralysed. I am from England and i owe him so much. I always try and honour his name. All my friends know i adore him. I made a full recovery over time and he was a massive influence. I will always love you Bruce. Mr Lee Jun Fan ❤. One day i wish to visit his grave and pay my respects.

    After Jeopardy, another fun game to test Mikey and Dre’s knowledge is a game called Fact or Beerdy. They should figure out if a Bruce Lee fact presented to them is a fact or some Beerdy BS.😅

    I think the Big Boss saw was a deleted scene because the edit seems to have an abrupt cut. I always thought it must of been taken out for violence. I thought this before i saw the photo. But i have never seen footage of it.

      Fake news buddy

    • @TheKungFuGenius
      @TheKungFuGenius  4 месяца назад

      When it comes to these kind of claims, the mere fact that it’s in a book or in a magazine, does not suddenly prop it up to a truth claim over something you might hear someone say on a street corner. It’s not to get conspiratorial or to say that everything printed is fake, but when digging into a historical claim, one has to look for the PRIMARY source. Was the magazine article author claiming firsthand to have seen this exchange? If not, then he or she is telling a story that he or she has heard but can’t substantiate, no matter how compelling. The next step would be to find out what their source is. If their source is another book or magazine, you have to find where the source of that book or magazine was until you actually find the guy who said it really happened or find where the evidence was for the initial claim. Articles and book authors often cite other books not realizing that those books are actually citing someone else or someone else’s work who citing someone else’s work. Just having a bibliography doesn’t make it true - you have to go all the way back until you find the primary source and substantiate it. Until then it’s just hearsay. The story being in a magazine, and then later, being in a film, doesn’t add strength to the argument that it’s true. It only adds strength that this story is repeated.

    • @bennyaruba3449
      @bennyaruba3449 4 месяца назад

      @TheKungFuGenius I ain't say it was true. But I figure that story had been floating around so they put it in the movie. It was an article series in "Fighter" (Swedish magazine) called "we saw Bruce Lee fight" and featured people such as William Cheung, Bob Wall, his old Seattle students & so on I remember.. If the stories were true or not I dont know so im just saying. Some of them were covered in wrath of the dragon too tho.

    You bring up some good points about the saw in the head from Big Boss. Made me think of the machete in the zombies head effect by Tom Savini. Just watched a clip and they even away and it looked more effective. Maybe the fx didn't look convincing enough even with censorship in mind.

    There should be a tiebreaker contingency for if the Jeopardy is tied…
    The contestants have to pronounce Chinese names correctly until someone is eliminated 😅

    • @TheKungFuGenius
      @TheKungFuGenius  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes, and it should be judged by a native Chinese speaker with no prior knowledge of what they are supposed to say. If that Chinese speaker can understand it, then they win the tie breaker!

    Bonjour Alex, bonjour The kungFuGenius. Petit commentaire en français. D'abord Félicitations pour ta chaine, j'adore. Des podcasts, des commentaires très très intéressants. Cela fait de longues années que je m’intéresse au personnage Bruce Lee (depuis 40 ans). Ta chaine est très intéressante, sincèrement ! Je l'ai découverte il n' y a pas très longtemps...c'est la première fois, désolé, que je laisse un commentaire. J'ai appris beaucoup de choses nouvelles sur Bruce Lee, parfois on pense avoir fait le tour, mais, non ! On en apprend tous les jours. Je suis en retard sur beaucoup de tes vidéos mais je me rattraperai !! Encore mille mercis pour ce que tu fais avec sincérité, cela doit représenter beaucoup de travail. Continues comme ça. David, Arras, France... PS : J’espère un jour te voir en France pour un séminaire par exemple... See you

    Enter the dragon was x rated in UK at that time as was the others

    • @zman4116
      @zman4116 4 месяца назад

      At 12 or 13 I saw Fists of Fury when it was released in Australia, I’m amazed that any of his films would be rated x.
      The inferred violence I guess, but how that was much different to Westerns where the good guys shot the bad guys to death, after a few pub brawls, just as inferred. History now of course.

    • @TheKungFuGenius
      @TheKungFuGenius  4 месяца назад

      I have heard and read about the UK’s very strict rating policies on films with violence. I heard they would even regularly cut many kicks Bruce used in a scene, making the fight scenes very short. Mikey even told me that you guys called the TMNT the teenage mutant hero turtles!
