These are not criticisms but questions: poor baby seals with nothing comfortable to lie on and not even a toy. But they look easy to live with. The place seems very noisy - bells? Where is all this noise coming from? Otherwise, Tofi has its own private pool, which is lovely. Luna seems to have become quite plump. The little hearts on top of the baby seals' heads, how cute! 😊
Great question about the seal pups. People often ask us why the seal pups at our centre lie on these grates as opposed to something soft like a blanket. These grates allow the seals to be raised from the floor of their tub and allow for any excrement to drain through. This helps keep the pups clean and dry while they are being rehabilitated. These seals will eventually be released back into the wild where their preferred resting surface will be rocky haul outs!
