@@Flashtone08 yes, I have that trilogy on Criterion and I really like Before Sunset with Before Sunrise as a close second. Before Midnight bummed me out a bit though. I owned all of them individually on DVD and when I saw that they were on Criterion I had to upgrade them. Great choice.
Love the artwork on Bull Durham. I bought that one a year or two ago. Need to revisit it. The Breakfast Club is one of my favorites and another I purchased the Criterion version that I haven't got around to revisiting. I have a DVD copy of Blue Velvet. Haven't seen any David Lynch stuff. Need to watch one soon. Do the Right Thing is one of my favorites in my collection. Got a signed Spike copy. Thelma & Louise is another one I recently purchased but haven't revisited since I purchased. Dr. Strangelove is another one I have been wanting to see that I haven't got around. Tempted to upgrade Raging Bull. Great list of recommendations. I plan on trying to get to a Barnes & Noble this weekend and will try to pick up at least one title if I see something I'm after.
@@excelsiormoviereviews I remember. What part of Indianapolis? I'm in Greensburg. An hour south off I74. I'm an hour from Indy and an hour from Cincinnati. I'm going towards Cincinnati Saturday so plan on hitting up a Barnes & Noble in Ohio. I'll be in Greenwood area though in a couple weeks so may have to hit up the one there.
Enjoyed, thanks, new subscriber. I'll pick up about 5 or 6 in July, first two I just received, The Virgin Suicides which will be a blind buy, hope I don't get burned again, and Thief which I had screened on the Criterion Channel. One most excited about is on the way from Amazon, Tie Me Up TIe Me Down, which has just been rereleased after a few years out of print for the blu-ray. Next up is another blind buy, Bound 4k, but Amazon has yet to match BN sales price...BN site is sold out for online. Love Blue Velvet, I have the blu-ray and it looks very good as is from 4k restoration, so no double dip for the new 4k.
@@pete49327 thank you for watching and subscribing. Yes, I’ve wanted to see Bound for a while and other than the cast I know the general storyline and that it was before The Matrix. @@STEVEHEROLD right on. It captures that period well and it has two great soundtracks.
My favorite is the one right behind you. The before trilogy. Some of the best uncut dialogue in cinema. A simple, yet relatable slow burn.
