    I understand about Dragonite, and here's the thing, you could get Dratini in Celadon City Game Corner as a prize.
    Though...most players want to get it from the Safari Zone, but the one in the Game Corner...level up with Rare Candies, which is the cheap way, and I think quite a few players would do that.

    Of the ones shown, I feel Milotic is the most surprising to see here, at least a little. That's considering how difficult and tricky it can be to obtain Feebas in the first place.

    Fun fact: from a strictly offensive perspective, Ice/Ground is only resisted by Bug/Water and Bug/Ice. Every other type combination can be hit for at least neutral damage.
    You can reduce that to just Bug/Ice if you have Freeze Dry, though that's probably not the best choice for Mamoswine.

    I ended up running Milotic AND Salamence on my playthrough team for Omega Ruby.
    Half of my team for this playthrough were Pokémon you get early on and commonly see on people’s Hoenn teams (Starter, Aggron, Manectric). The other half were Pokémon you get later on in the game and are ones you don’t commonly see on people’s Hoenn teams (Froslass, Milotic, and Salamence).

  • @CowboyPrestige101

    Milotic has been one of my favorite water pokemon.
    Even though he is the source of one of my most frustrating experiences with pokemon. All that time as a kid, searching for a feebas, reading gamefaqs, searching the routes, checking different water tiles. Too finally catch a feebas, only to find out that I need to feed the damn thing certain puffins. And, I messed it up because apparently you can do that.
    Never got to use a milotic until gen 8 dropped one in the wild for the hell of it. Thank you Gamefreak. 😂

    #10: I feel like the whole Milotic section doesn't take into account just how difficult it is to get one of these, especially since they're not just roaming about. You have to catch a Feebas first, one of the oddly rarest pokemon to find in the early games and still a nuisance in the modern game, and even if you do get a Feebas, pre gen 5, you had to rely on Pokeblocks to increase its beauty, level up, and then it evolves. Post gen 4, you get the Prism Scale, which sounds nice until you realize it's a trade evo. Honestly not worth it when Gyarados is right there and has far more consistency.
    #9: Yeah, hard agree. Lucario's only issue is that its friendship evo usually takes awhile without a Soothe Bell which acquiring one depends on the game.
    #8: Volcarona is a monster. Quiver Dance and Bug Buzz + Fiery Dance is a dangerous combo. Only issue is Larvesta's ridiculous evolution level: 59.
    50 frickin 9 for its evolution.
    Still, top 10 pokemon for me, so I'll stick with it.
    #7: Snorlax is a mixed bag. I think it's better in the earlier games. Later on it kinda fell off since it doesn't have access to Fairy Typing.
    #6: Used Tyranitar in HGSS by trading level 1 Larvitar from a friend and in my recent Scarlet playthrough. Total berserker. The only weakness is Fighting which is kinda common, but luckily, that's why I invest in regional birds.
    #5: Mega Salamance is a menace to society. Hard agree.
    #4: Metagross is a powerful foe and has a great move pull. Used some in my playthroughs and just like T-Tar. Finding one within the game pre-elite 4 is difficult, though, so it gets negative points for that.
    Also side note, I thought Aegislash was the reason they nerfed Steel types, not Metagross, but meh.
    #3: Kingsgambit is a really good option in Tera Raids. Kowtow Cleave + Swords Dance = Extreme Damage.
    #2: Hmmm.... Mamoswine is an odd choice. My only issue is that its only two good Ice moves are Ice Fang and Ice Shard, considering it's meant to be a physical attacker. Sigh, we need more physical Ice Moves.
    #1: Yeah there's a reason why Cynthia is one of if not the best Champion. It's because her ace is this monstrosity.

  • @timelytorch
    @timelytorch 6 месяцев назад +2

    I think the "Metagross nerf" was more towards Aegislash. The change didn't happen until gen 6, and Aegislash without the ghost/dark weakness would've been broken.

    • @FireheartSamurai
      @FireheartSamurai 7 месяцев назад

      Well it’s mostly the gym badges you have at the time for catching certain Pokémon. Obviously, if you have a couple of gym badges, you’re not gonna be able to catch level 65 Pokémon. Compared to if you have all 8 gym badges or whatever story professions mechanic a Pokémon game replaces over gym leaders/badges. If I’m not mistaken Dynamax Adventure is tied to the post game since that’s when you can do anything tied to the Crown Tundra DLC.

    I dont think Milotic should be even in the top
    Its aviability is so poor that it doesnt matter how good it is
    I thinkaviability is underrated, but if u think about it its really important
    It doesnt matter if a Pokemon if super powerful when the amount of time you have to spend on it is too much compared to the amount of time a pokemon easier to get would require for u to finish the job
    Theres a reason Fearow is better than Dodrio even tho Dodroo has better stats
    Feebas is already annoting to get, but it isnt just that, you also have to evolve it which is even more annoying
    This makes Milotic the single Pokemon with the worst aviability in any Pokemon game, so I wouldnt consider it even a top 20 best late game Pokemon
