I bought the gun on Law Airsoft, a french website : www.law-airsoft.com/fr/
This is an upgraded version of the AKS74UN WE. It has the following parts :
- Ra-tech steel trigger assembly (comes with valve locker, firing pin, inner selector lever, trigger, hammer, and sear).
- Ra-tech 6.01 inner barrel.
- Ra-Tech NPAS.
- LCT wood parts (modified to fit the AKS74UN WE).
- Law Airsoft custom made hop up.
The body has been treated by Law Airsoft to give him this vintage aspect. I don't know how they do that, but it does look great.
The steel parts are a great replacement compared the original internal parts which are not very good. The new hop up and new barrel give great performances to the gun, while the NPAS allows to reduce the power to 350-360 fps.
The silencer is a AABB PBS-4 Aluminium bought on UNCompany for 43 USD.
The red dot is a MilSpex EKP Military Red Dot bought on Redwolf Airsoft for 82,5 USD. But don't buy it for the WE AK, there is too much recoil and this red dot can not handle it (the dot on mine is broken now...).

The recoil is absolutely ridiculously beautiful. This will be on my shopping list.
The WE AKS74U is worth it if you are willing to do some work to it. Steel internals are a must, and the recoil buffer KahnSeb showed here is a great help. After some tweaking, these make a great GBBR.
amazing gun i would skip the red dot sight though, its sexier with iron sight

Dboys makes good AK Variants as well as other full metal guns, i have had a Dboys M16A4 for 2 years and i have done nothing to the internals not even cleaned it inside or maintained, and it still works perfectly

Diego Claudio Sergio You sure that's called a tactical reload? It's more of a technique used to change magazines in my honest opinion. I was always taught that a tactical reload is when you change mags while there still is a bullet left in the chamber so you don't have to work the charginghandle. However, I can agree that this technique and tactical reloads are commonly used by soldiers and civilian firearms enthusiasts worldwide.

It's considered a emergency reload, when you're in something heavy heated, you can't care about the condition of your mags.

when you put the silencer on it i thought it was an RPG for a second. i was like, " holy shit! oh wait..."
This red dot (a fake Kobra) is made to be mounted on the side rail you find on some AK variants. There is no scope mount, the mount is part of the red dot.
Same thing for the suppressor (fake AABB PBS-4), it's made for AK and takes the place of the muzzle brake.
This is probably the nicest looking gun you've done to date. It looks just right for a 80/90's Spetz, sweet!

i have the cool-down problem with my we hi-cappa silver dragon, and i don't know if there is a remidy accept just let it warm up or shoot it in a hot area.

I was laatst in gesprek met een wapensmit, deze vertelde mij dat veel problemen van cool-down komen door Greengas. De silicone gehaltes zijn zo hoog dat je het wapen ''verzuipt'' in olie. Oplossing is regelmatig schoonmaken en topgas kopen. Deze bevat in meeste gevallen minder silicone olie en meer gas. Ik heb een VFC HK416D GBBR en dit werkte prima!

dat is een goeie maar ik gebruik die van walther is ook met silicone weet niet wat het verschil daartussen is maar wat ik merkte is dat met warmer weer mn hi cappa sneller te koud word wat kan ik daarop doen??

what an unusual and interesting top optic sight you have.
I was deciding between this and the GHK 2012 one, ended up buying the GHK, its performance with cooldown is insane, there's very little cool down with really good recoil, I figured it's due to the dual o-ring seal at the blowback unit, while it doesn't have full bolt travel, combined with LCT's full steel external, I think I made the right choice in having both a good looking gun and a out of the box performance gun, definitely recommend it, I like it so much I might buy the AK105 as well!

Because it's freaking awesome to pull the trigger and hear/feel a BANG vs a "whizzzzz" noise. They're usually made to real gun dimensions unlike AEGs meaning real parts will fit most guns.
Fired in semi automatic which is how many players shoot, cool down isn't really noticeable unless it's below 15C ~. In the summer, you can empty whole mags without any problems. There's nothing wrong with GBBRs, just there are some considerations in playing style/climate/cost.

Really like the aging done on the receiver. i've done a similar thing to my RS SVD.
The short stroke kit that reduces the bolt travel does not really help with the cooldown, it just feels that way but what actually happens is that you empty the magazine quicker so you never get to that stage where you get lower rate of fire.
Loving how it takes the 5.45 mag and the 7.62 mag..just one more thing that you can fudge in airsoft!

That's because I use the speed recoil device (note the short charging handle pull).
I like the slow full auto. It just gives you a little more time to line up your shot on full auto so you don't blow through the mag and not hit a single thing.

Well, it's not like I really cared about rof considering I will probably only use the gun in semi on field. But it does handle cool down better with this piece, that's the biggest advantage to me.
Pretty much the whole mag yeah. Gbbr magazines never have a lot of bbs, most of them carry 30.
The bolt is not supposed to lock back.

depends on what kind of games you go and your ammo conservation, if you go to super long milsim games get as many as possible, but if you go to cqb TDM get something like 6-8 mags (beware WE mags just holds 30 rds, so you want to be more conservative with your trigger)

i think that KOBRA sight looks sick on that AK74.
it fits well with the weathered look.
also, Guns are NEVER for looks, unless your trying hard to compensate for something

Yes, but this -airsoft- silencer is not specificaly made for this -airsoft- AKS74U. I have to chose between the right angle and tight it as much as I can. I prefer it to be tight.
FYI almost any short Chinese tracer unit is able to fit inside the PBS-4 without any mods :D I shoved one into the silencer for my GHK AKS74U, works great! Only trouble is you have to unscrew the silencer to turn it off / on every time, but it's worth it, gives it a little extra weight but also a function!

what i look for in a gun is the realism. blowback, full metal and wood, kick from the shot of blowback. basically anything WE makes is the qualities(specifications) i have been searching for.
A bit, yeah. Probably coming from the heavier parts and the NPAS. The kick is still cool though.
It really can not with mine, at least with the full traveling bolt. Maybe it would with a hotter weather, it's currently still a bit cold in France.

I have honestly no idea. I use a "hot power" lipo battery for my Scar L, it works fine.

@dylan koch the WE aren't that bad, they will last you but if you want to make sure that masic gbbr cleaning is the only thing you need to do forever and no problems occur better better internals will definetly not hurt at all.
@hiush1 Thanks for your help, I'm not a big fan of mil-sim, I usually do CQB TDM and I have researched some cons and I did see the small round capacity was a big problem. One thing I considered: I have a WE Luger with leaky mags and just want to make sure this one doesn't.

I have no idea. But it would not reduce the sound, considering most of the sound you hear comes from the bolt, not the shot itself.

I don't know about KhanSeb, but my stock WE AK can almost finish a magazine in full auto. It starts getting massive cooldown near the end of the 30 rounds, so you'll definitely have to fire in bursts if you don't like semi. Personally I'm only using semi with this gun on the field, so it's no issue for me. The full travel kick is too addicting.
That is only if you have a FAG or a AFG. If you were to put your hand on the side of the gun it would get too hot to hold. As the openings are used to vent out the barrel from getting too hot. Also it is alot more comfortable to hold it like this on AK styled weapons then Carbines.
You could get the RA-tech or Hephaestus reinforced parts (specially the hammer, which is the only one that's really likely to break) or try the new 2012 version of the GHK, although I like the WE better because of the full travel bolt.
If you're having trouble with their internals, get Ra-Tech steel internals for them. If you want a better GBB AKS-74U, do what KhanSeb said and get GHK.
Oui, cela dépend si le corps a un rail ou non. En l'occurrence, cette réplique est une réplique du "AKS-74UN", le "N" indique que le fusil a un rail de série. le AKS-74U "tout court" n'en a pas.

Well, I didn't make the modification myself so I have no idea, sorry.
More or less. My team and I bought those a few months ago.
It's part of the red dot. Russian sights are usually like that.
Get the highspeed buffer from FG airsoft, it will increase the rate of fire to the original one. I installed it in mine and it works great!
PS: They are also from France.
Then if the strike is shorter then the release valve is shorter/smaller. That would mean that both FPS and recoil is lower but from what I know neither the recoil nor the FPS is affected by the short-stroke kit.

How long is the (standard) internal barrel? You use a longer ineral barrel to the silencer?

I believe it does need modifications to fit (I didn't do it myself so I can't tell more about that).
What you said about the bolt trvel reduction being unrealistic. thats actually how you get the real one to cycle faster
The half-travel bolt does not increase gas efficiency, just ROF.

Maybe, but on the airsoft version, it really doesn't go back far. I doubt it could chamber a new cartridge on a real one.
