- Today I am talking about the upcoming KMS/ Korean MapleStory changes to the Reboot server. A summary of these changes are:
1 . Reboot Mesos rates are decreasing from 6x to 1x.
2. Meso’s obtained per day are now capped.
3. Cubes will no longer be sold for NX, however, be sold for Mesos
4. Increase in the price of cubes exponentially.

There has been no updates for GMS so far. However KMS just announced they are removing Ursus. RIP Welfare Bear :(
I will keep you guys in the loop if anything gets confirmed for GMS.

well nexon deserves the games to die , because nexon got fined 9 millions after they were found guilty for changing the cube rates for the best roll to zero -_-

if they do go through in GMS it will kill the game almost overnight. We got swaths of people quitting already just because of the speculation that it will. Most westerners (and some eastern that also dislike how KMS is) do not wanna play reg servers now that they are established on reboot.
Also, no one is going to want to farm out 8k legion when they are FORCED to do it.
It's different than someone choosing to restart in hyperion of their own free will.
well if they convert reboot into reg and remove reboot as a whole, that would be nice but get your wallets ready for paywalls
whether people like it or not i know that a lot of people saw this coming or eventually saw something like this would happen, so many people on regular servers compare their experience to reboot servers or how much 'easier' they have it. Nexon probably gets thousands of tickets regarding this... to me maplestory is the iceberg just waiting for something to tip it at this point.

At this point they should really just go the route of WoW and make a legacy server with all the bonkers ass broken things you could do back then (no cooldown dragon roar my love I miss you!)
I wish at least we would have a 30 day event server like the lab event, where we could experience classic MapleStory for some rewards.
no you don't. Have you never played old MS. it isn't the game that was the good thing about old MS. It was the people. Old MS game wasn't really that good. It was way more grinding and way more issues. With really nothing to do. There wasn't really end game bosses outside horntail, zakum, PB. The rest of the bosses really were just open world bosses. @@fighterpimp My point was to make it an event server, not an identical classic server. It would be great to have to clear old PQ’s to get rewards, train in old maps, and use old systems. It would have boosted EXP, boosted damage, rewards and whatever it takes to make it playable for the playerbase.

Why do you need to do old PQ's. I mean they could do that anyway that isn't bringing anything back. That is completely different what you stated first off.
You can train in old maps now. I don't understand. Plus those maps have like no exp in them. Go to leafre train there all you want. I am confused. Most of the game is old maps. Only some places are really changed.
Why would you want to use old system. This was my point to begin with. The old system was not good........ I think you never played old MS.
See this is what people misunderstand about old video games. They think they were good why we played them. No we played them because it worked, there wasn't much else free and could run on cheap PC. So we played games like this. The reason you think you like Old MS so much is. Because it took so much more time investment just to down load the game.
So it felt more epic to you. Since it took you so long just to do something. Now you feel like it is just given to you. So you are bored. That is why you want old game systems, when they are trash.
I do not want old game systems. I am fine with the new ones and I know they are way way way way way better.
Now if you said I want the social systems back. I could understand that. MS like a lot of games are way less social now. This is what really made MS.

Me too. I was thinking abt switching to reg but I honestly couldn’t be bothered lol…this game won’t survive much longer
I play both but Rebooters should’ve seen this coming, from a business perspective I don’t think NX wants to pull their playerbase into a free server, at the end of the day they want to keep things running and get their coins.
Reboot is the main reason the game is not dead right now. If you kill Reboot, it kills a large portion of the population. GMS is less than 2% of Nexon's revenue, so no value in killing their most populated servers in GMS.
However it makes sense for the KMS servers at least.
I wonder, what system they will introduce to close the gap.. because if cubes cost no NX in regular servers.. how are they are going to keep making money? Because i doubt pets and cosmetics come close to cubes sales.
Everything revolves around mesos now, I'm guessing the Meso Market is going to be even more important.

I just came back after quitting the game for like 12 years, and I came back to reboot, so naaah, maybe comingback was a bad idea.

Well they they made it pay to win and they chage that but realistically speaking its just going to be pay to win because you have to cube for a legendary potential on equipment to have any chance in high level areas and pets in order to loot and auto pot
yes they nerfing reboot but cubes are no longer sold for NX so why not play reg server if this change goes through for gms (as a reg server player I really hope it goes through)
People already invested so much into Reboot. If they had to restart in Reg because it was better would cause a lot of people to quit. Now it's great for Regular server, but not so much for Reboot. But I can understand why you would be happy.

F2P reboot players ain’t the ones paying Nexon’s bills. They definitely want to drive people to main server.
Reboot is too easy atm anyway. Most of these people saying they’ll quit are the same people that said they would quit when kishin got removed.
