Thanks to Hannes for having a chat about their new live concert film 🍿 What do you think, are Sabaton being overlooked as one of the bigger metal bands in the modern era? Should they be headlining more major festivals?
For the “20th Anniversary Show” at Wacken 2019,, Sabaton commandeered the festival's two main stages, the side-by-side-and-connected Faster and Harder Stages, becoming the first artist in Wacken's 30-year history to utilize both stages simultaneously in this way.
Was part of the PRFam group at Leeds the first day of the tour, If this filmed one is half as good as Leeds people are in for a treat. Normally I bemoan the big old boys aren't going away and it's hindering newer bands from stepping up, but Sabaton are one of the ones who did it anyway and graduated to these massive headline tours of their own. As far as the sweatbox thing, but it this way, Par told a story that night, that last time before that they were in Leeds they got paid enough for a couple of beers and it was a little different this time
In Europe they are big, not the biggest they have never tried football stadiums like Metallica, Iron maiden and Rammstein but as a "newer" band they seems to have a good fan base. I have never been disappointed when going to a sabaton show. When seeing the clips from their show with judas in NA now it feels like the fans in europe is on a whole other level
This film came to our little town:) So glad our cinemas played this for two nights, Oct. 30th and 31st. Less people on Halloween:) The film is great, and it felt like being at the concert! As far at topping this performance, Hannes gave a great answer:) He had no answer. Actually, from the concerts I've seen, there's no need to "top" any of their concerts. Are SABATON the BIGGEST Metal Band Live Today? No. Sabaton is really big and really good these days, but the biggest metal band live today? No, it is with no doubt Metallica. But when it comes to "newer" bands, yes, one of the biggest. :)
That is what is intended with the question, not so much comparing to Metallica, Maiden etc but are they the biggest metal band of today? But agreed deffo one of the biggest and perhaps not so well recognised at times!
@@nemasproductionRammstein announces sold out arena tour before they even sold a ticket. Rammstein 2019 tour had 60 trucks with stage setup and it took a week to set it up. Metallica and Kiss never had as expensive setups.
@@V3ntilatorMetallica does not need expensive stages. They sold around 10 000 more tickets when they played in Gothenburg compared to Rammstein. Metallica are the goat
probably in the states opening for Judas Priest. Sabaton and Nightwish aren't big in the states I don't know why. I'm embarrassed as an American metal head. Nightwish plays theaters and not the biggest ones either in the US. Sabaton opening for Judad Priest, that tour is theaters. It's sad.

I went to the Tour to End All Tours showing in Lexington, KY. Had to travel, went with a crew of my best mates, it was so FREAKING GOOD, ahhh!
I got go get myself into one of their concerts! They are so down to earth cool.

Saw them open for Amon Amarth in Canada a few years back... legit had never heard of them and they blew my mind.
That's awesome, great to hear it's happening for them on the other side of the pond!

Existing bands don't hinder new bands otherwise how did the existing bands start? New bands have to develop their audience, same as everyone. Come on
