Episode 3 Lionheart fought 14 battles where as he has autoresolved 6 and played 8. He won 10 battles and lost 4. He killed 17313 enemies and lost 7964 Undead. His longest winning streak was 4 battles. (Ep. 1) His longest losing streak was 2 battles. (Ep.1) His Leader Mannfred von Carstein killed the most enemies in one battle with 492 kills. (Ep.2)
dont know if you already know but beware of chaos and the corruption. when they arrive there corruption will over take yours unless yours is super strong.
I love it with Varghulf's and Verghests. Because they both used to be vampires. Varghulfs were starved of blood, and went crazy, and turned bat-like and huge, but Varghests were vampires that went blood-crazy, drinking tons of blood, making them go crazy, and bat-like, but not so huge.
Some advice I could offer Lionheart? You have Invocation of Nehek. You should really be using it to heal your troops up. It would have saved you alot of casualties in this battle alone.
exactly. you never had to lose the gheists. invocation is broken as hell. get their troops locked in and just keep healing yours. they will never break and you can flank at your leisure
you seem far more competent then the other YTers of warhammer content, Surrealbeliefs is inept and Warrior of sparta is.. lacking shall we say,. good job laddo.
+lionheartx10 hey lionheart I'm not sure you noticed but it looks like a new vamp faction called Mousillon has popped up somewhere. Might be a good idea to confederate if you could before they become a problem. Great video as always though, keep up the great work. 👍
Surreal just uploads to much in 1 day it's just an overkill, it's all from the same series too! With lionhearth i don't watch some series otherwise it's just an overkill (or i watch every 10th episode to stay uptodate for when it's starts to become extremly intresting!)
If you name the Vargulf Fluffy you should rename the series to ''The adventures of Manfred and Fluffy'' also something needs to be done with the towers in sieges, because they can hit the entire battle map, it forces to you kinda rush all in, which isnt as fun, especially if you are roleplaying while playing it, like maybe chaos or the greenskins would rush straight in during a siege but the empire and the dwarfs? somehow I think a more tactical siege suits them better
I would be very scared to face an army of undead xombies, skeletons and vampires, and a giant thing called Fluffy. YOu know that is some spooky stuff :D
Critique Report: Fluffy Strikes! Praise: Targeting Van Kruger in the battle of Eschen. Vargheist rear smash in the battle of Eschen. Wraith flanking in the battle of Eschen. Swarming the walls in the siege of Castle Templehof. Mistakes: Getting your Vargheists wiped out in the siege of Castle Templehof. Suggested Actions: Pushing too far north could take you into contact with Chaos, go for the Moot! Death to the Halflings! Overall: Fairly good.
Recommendation: If you have a unit being hammered by towers, you can always tell it to retreat off of the battlefield to save it. I agree the tower range is too far. There should at least be a little sliver at the back where you can keep something safe from them until you want to bring it up.
well crap, that heroic victory certainly made his play through a whole lot easier.... I didn't have as nearly an easy time. I'm glad I found this guy though. Was having so much trouble fighting these battles and would take heavy losses since I didn't know how to move my troops in formation and stuff like that.
Like to say thank you for showing the power of Mannfred and the Varghulf in your part 2, because of that i was able to take Castle Templehoff by turn 3 :p Step 1. fight the small trespassing army but don't kill the general leading it. Step 2. attack the remnants of the army as it retreats back to Castle Templehoff, drawing out the main army and garrison. Step 3. Kill them all with Mannfred and the Varghulf :p Step 4. Siege the castle , build some towers, then when they finish in 2 turns take the castle with little to no defence :p
I really like this game so far. I loaded it this morning at 5 and played for a couple of hours before work. Its pretty challenging. First impressions are very positive. Thanks for the videos, Lionheart.
Also the final quest battles have teleports in them, so no need to raze the entire map south of your border to get there attrition free (which of course no one would do for 50 plus turns...)
It seems like they need to add more ways to draw armies away from cities. Liking bringing back the little raidable targets in provinces so if they just decide to sit in town, they'll just let their resources get destroyed or something. At least if their aim was to reduce the number of sieges.
I am a good number of turns into my vamp campaign and it is craze, I went a very different research then you did. I started with upping my skeletons and now my grave guard are recruited with 2 silver chevrons. Note grave guards are considered skeletal units, so anything that up grades skeletal units works on them such as the +5 leadership.
Damn, sieges are SUPER tough in this game, I played a siege as the Empire against Middlenheim (I think thats what it was called...), barely won. By far, the toughest part was those towers. Sieges come with a huge learning curve in Warhammer.
*Update after part 3*, lionheart has since beginning of the Lp Won 10 battles and lost 4 battles. He fought 8 battles himself and auto resolve 6 battles. He exterminate 17333 enemies and lost 8088 of his own troops.
Once again, congrats on that Mannfred and Fluffy victory from the last video and the rewards you got for it, and congrats on your new PC. I hope the problems you had with it are all sorted out now.
Just a hint, if you want to keep the Vampires to the south (ie for Allies/Client State) you better keep an army close to help them out because in my two campaigns they got quickly wiped out by turn 50.
The game worked perfectly for me, strange considering my pc is 4 years old by now. Got to turn 120 on Vampire counts. So you could say I've been having fun
Brand new to total war games - haven't had time to watch all the videos, but i noticed you have higher tier units waaaay sooner than i do (i'm on turn 30 or 40 or so, and am just now starting to get to recruit vargheists). Can i assume that you hold off on expansion almost entirely until you've built a solid core? I expanded early - it's working out, but i was very surprised at how much more quickly you had your graveguard, black knights etc... Any quick tips on the initial stages of a campaign?
I have to say, this game is looking really great. Literally the only real flaws I could find in it are the siege battles and battle length. A great deal of battles i've seen were over within ten minutes, which kinda worries me because I really liked long drawn out battles. This flaw is more subjective, and probably something which i'd get used to. However, the sieges really have suffered in my opinion. All besieged cities and forts shown were miniscule maps with eye-candy, and that does make me sad because sieges were in my opinion one of the more interesting and challenging battle types. And now towers which can hit all over the map? That really doesn't make sense to me. Alright, that was just me venting, don't mind me.
Hello Lionheart. Great video again. For me nothing wrong with the picture quality on this video but I did experience some cracking on the sound throughout
Episode 3
Lionheart fought 14 battles where as he has autoresolved 6 and played 8.
He won 10 battles and lost 4.
He killed 17313 enemies and lost 7964 Undead.
His longest winning streak was 4 battles. (Ep. 1)
His longest losing streak was 2 battles. (Ep.1)
His Leader Mannfred von Carstein killed the most enemies in one battle with 492 kills. (Ep.2)
+Willam Joo noo that wasnt me
is this sarcasm? cause i cant tell :P
I really love people like you. Nice to keep it all nice and organized.
Pffff, we only suffered on 97% casualties. No biggy.
Their coprses will provide cover!
-Every imperial guard commander ever
tomcat912 Only problem is. the corpse will rise up and nibble on their ankle.
The Vargheists are like the freakin' Balrogs from Third Age. They're individually OP but instead there are twelve of them
*Sorry for any audio or visual glitches and / or stuttering hopefully can sort these recording issues out very soon!*
Quality is fine , stop fretting.
Everything seems fine to me with the quality, the video is as good as always. Well done!
only a few miniature stutter in audio so far but perfectly watchable and as always get entertaining :-)
dont know if you already know but beware of chaos and the corruption. when they arrive there corruption will over take yours unless yours is super strong.
+ToBeTheBest GB but may be an issue on my behalf corrections please if I am wrong :-)
fluffy is da best. #namethegoddambigbatfluffy
name him fluffy!
***** fluffy destroyer of worlds
Yes
fluffy the unbroken
He's gotta have a badass epithet. My vote is for Fluffy the Unbroken.
I didn't see any visual errors but there was quite a bit of audio popping.
fluffy is a great name
what about Batman?
I love it with Varghulf's and Verghests. Because they both used to be vampires. Varghulfs were starved of blood, and went crazy, and turned bat-like and huge, but Varghests were vampires that went blood-crazy, drinking tons of blood, making them go crazy, and bat-like, but not so huge.
Some advice I could offer Lionheart? You have Invocation of Nehek. You should really be using it to heal your troops up. It would have saved you alot of casualties in this battle alone.
yea i think people are focusing too much on leach and not using the heal which is super strong
exactly. you never had to lose the gheists. invocation is broken as hell. get their troops locked in and just keep healing yours. they will never break and you can flank at your leisure
just name it fluffy. wouldn't be the first time something badass had a very unintimidating name. but the next one you got to name it deathclaw
Deathclaw is already the name of Karl Franz's final mount
+Shawn Brock ok... Name it Paul then
name it Deathpaul :D
Name him fluffy or I'll riot!
you seem far more competent then the other YTers of warhammer content, Surrealbeliefs is inept and Warrior of sparta is.. lacking shall we say,. good job laddo.
thanks I try although I do have my mistakes now and then too haha
His magic use though...
+lionheartx10 hey lionheart I'm not sure you noticed but it looks like a new vamp faction called Mousillon has popped up somewhere. Might be a good idea to confederate if you could before they become a problem. Great video as always though, keep up the great work. 👍
Legend is the best by a long shot
Surreal just uploads to much in 1 day it's just an overkill, it's all from the same series too! With lionhearth i don't watch some series otherwise it's just an overkill (or i watch every 10th episode to stay uptodate for when it's starts to become extremly intresting!)

You could have a Vamp army that's like a mix between Transylvania 6500 and Monty Python and the holy grail. That would be pretty sweet, and goofy.

loving the vampire counts because so unique to anything seen on total war before
well crap, that heroic victory certainly made his play through a whole lot easier.... I didn't have as nearly an easy time. I'm glad I found this guy though. Was having so much trouble fighting these battles and would take heavy losses since I didn't know how to move my troops in formation and stuff like that.
I really want it to be called Fluffy, just for the irony, and a show of 'humanity' from Mannfred, giving an actual pet name to his favorite creature.
Fluffy please fluffy! (on a side note, I might called my chaos warhounds as 'chaos retriever' or 'husky' for the lolz)
Okay I'm sorry but now I imagine the vampire count is caboose just saying FLUFFY DESTROY THEM
Without a doubt the coolest of the campaigns.
varghul- galgortech the eyecracker or lagror the flufy. yes that is a grea... flufy what a fluf. ok serious now. laglor the zombiesgedon
You do need to name that Vargulf though, it has gone through so much and is still kicking, it should never leave Manfreds side, its his Fluffy
You should name a group of zombies "Hodor's Bane". DEM FEELS :`(!!
Or a group of skeletons if no zombies in use :D!
Hold the door!
I hate you people. xD
Been waiting for this to pop up in my sub box all day, loving the series!
lionheart your videos are legit helping me through my uni exams! can not wait to finish so i can smash out total war Warhammer!
Like to say thank you for showing the power of Mannfred and the Varghulf in your part 2, because of that i was able to take Castle Templehoff by turn 3 :p

problem with that is its not fun for the viewer and he likes to take it slow and explain what hes doing
video (1080P 60FPS) and sound was great, keep up the great content.
The hexwraiths look like the ethereal versions of the Nazgul.
I love how the skeletons run. It looks like they're skipping into battle.
The cinematic view of your crypt horrors at the end was sick
This is what's gonna get me through this shift. Lunch break uploads be praised
I love Fluffy as a name just to keep it casual fun in the name area
At castle drakenhoff you can build a gold mine which will shoot up your income, helped me out alot in my campaign
I really like this game so far. I loaded it this morning at 5 and played for a couple of hours before work. Its pretty challenging. First impressions are very positive. Thanks for the videos, Lionheart.
Which faction you played as?
+Lol Looking i am doing the empire for my first one.
Dylan Redd Ok, have a good day.
Call the Varghuls "Wolverine". Just for its ability to heal up and tear stuff apart
Favorite you tuber. I love total war series and you are the best total war RUclipsr
Call a grave guards unit "Guards of the fallen" epic video as all ways
Loving these let's plays, loving this game, and loving mine own campaign as the VC. XD
Also the final quest battles have teleports in them, so no need to raze the entire map south of your border to get there attrition free (which of course no one would do for 50 plus turns...)

I Love this series and the chaos so keep up the good work! :)
Fluffy the not so Fluffy!
I think you should name the Varghulf, Cuddles. LOL
This let's play is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Update after part 3*, lionheart has since beginning of the Lp
Won 10 battles and lost 4 battles.
He fought 8 battles himself and auto resolve 6 battles.
He exterminate 17333 enemies and lost 8088 of his own troops.
Hold THe gate HOGO!
I would have totally got another Varghulf, can't wait to start playing this when the memory comes for my new PC
Varghulf name: Fluffy the Slaughterer.
Quality is just fine! No complaints.
Coming from legend of total wars play through, yours is fun to watch as well👍🏻
liking the series keep it up :) love how u don't auto resolve everything like other youtubers
FLUFFY THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS.
*perfection*
Once again, congrats on that Mannfred and Fluffy victory from the last video and the rewards you got for it, and congrats on your new PC. I hope the problems you had with it are all sorted out now.
It’s like ‘my name is death wing’ and then there’s just him named Fluffy the destroyer 😂😂😂
Just a hint, if you want to keep the Vampires to the south (ie for Allies/Client State) you better keep an army close to help them out because in my two campaigns they got quickly wiped out by turn 50.
Call a grave gaurd "the Immortals"
you need a unit os skels to be called the spooky scary skeletos
You needed to use your crown that your leader has on the vargulf to keep his binding up
Vamps are my fav , black knight teat shit up. Could call the Vargulf Dave.
I'll add my voice to calling your Vargulf 'Fluffy'!
it's crazy that you,ve already got access to all the VC toys by video three. I wasn't expecting their purchase ability to happen so early
I like the video quality it looks more vibrant then normal.
Not too bad. You biggest issue in that siege was not making more effective use of Invocation of Nehek.
When you do big battles like this siege battle, it would be nice to see some more close-up action whenever possible.
This looks and sounds better then the other videos.
The Varghulf should be named Scrambles the Death Dealer.
Great quality stuff here
This series is so good! :D
fluffy the vampire slayer. It writes itself.
fluffy sounds good and to my opinion the quality of the video not the sound was a little bit lower
Also name a Varghulf either Princess or Cuddles. Really any funny name is good.
The game worked perfectly for me, strange considering my pc is 4 years old by now. Got to turn 120 on Vampire counts. So you could say I've been having fun

Any quick tips on the initial stages of a campaign?
Have to call at least one Skeleton unit spooky scary skeletons
awesome names are overcompansating most of the times, an ironic name like fluffy is much more spoopy
call the vargeists fluffys friends
I know I'm probably too late to say this, but I'd vote to call your zombies the Harbingers of von Carstein.
really nice battle at the carstel :D
Your varghulf really showed those vargheists who the alpha predator is around these parts.
name him Hodor.. he'll never fail you.
Name the varghulf : Fluffy, the world-eater
you should call the vargheist "fluffy the eternal"
I have to say, this game is looking really great. Literally the only real flaws I could find in it are the siege battles and battle length. A great deal of battles i've seen were over within ten minutes, which kinda worries me because I really liked long drawn out battles. Name The Sun Eater Sam or BATMAN!
I'm surprised the dwarves would be willing to trade with the vampire counts, seeing as how in the lore they absolutely despise the vampire counts
You can call him the floffy the zombie slayer
Dear vargeists you will be missed
Just name the varghul Fluffy, then he looks like the personal pet of von carstein
Hello Lionheart. Great video again. For me nothing wrong with the picture quality on this video but I did experience some cracking on the sound throughout
Name it fluffy, its the only acceptable name.
Fluffy the Vampire Slayer
Name man Fred haggis and the vague fluffy
31:00 @Lionheart x10 how do you make the listings go away for a shot like that?
Hoping in any chance you can give tips on how you gave a group attack :)? Or any info on when your tips video will being coming out?
Fluffy the indomitable
Name the black Knights the riders of terror
