    What I enjoyed about your video was how, even when things didn't go perfectly (like forgetting to increase the temperature of the water, and when a couple of pretzels lost their shape), all you said was "But that's OK", just like how Bob Ross used to paint pictures and make mistakes, and instead of getting mad or frustrated, he'd just call them "Happy Accidents", it's nice to watch a video where someone is talking with a soothing voice, and telling you that "It's OK", rather than yelling and getting upset, like a lot of videos on RUclips can be.

      Just wanted to share some things that have been helpful to me as a fellow migraine sufferer for years and years beginning from age 14 till adulthood .
      I found relief a few years ago after I started making the pink Himalayan salt solution known as "Sole" and drinking it in a glass of water daily. It even helped me with my "demon menstrual cramps" which had tormented me since adolescence also. I hardly get them now and it's such a joy not to have to suffer such hideous pain anymore. These days I've switched to drinking *infused* lemon water which I've also found to be very beneficial and hydrating.
      Also find Christian Prayer Scripture Meditation to be the most calming and strengthening daily practice. That works for all pain physical and emotional so it's my go-to throughout my day as I need a quick pick-me-up to recharge and restore my strength to keep going.
      Have said a short prayer for you and will continue praying for you in a special prayer I do daily that is specifically for people any kind of unbearable pain either physical or mental.
      LORD JESUS please send Angels with the Balm of Gilead to bring relief to this dear lady so she may be filled with Your Joy and strength and share Your goodness and Love with the rest of the hurting world. 🙏✝️🙏💛❤️💛

    Fun fact about pretzels...
    Pretzels were originally made by monks to ease their hunger when they fasted during Lent. They shaped them to resemble crossed arms in prayer. The pretzels were made with flour and water, but no yeast, because in the Bible yeast symbolizes sin. The pretzel can remind us of our need to repent of our sin and turn to Jesus with all our heart. (See 1Corinthians 5:6-8.)

      Many Christian services use unleavened wafers to stand in for the bread Jesus broke during the last supper. But maybe they should break out some pretzels instead. Some illuminated manuscripts from medieval Europe actually show Christ treating the 12 disciples to a feast of the twisted snack the night before his crucifixion.
      This detail is more indicative of the period when the illustrations were made than the time of the last supper. During the Middle Ages, pretzels were a popular Lenten food. The wheat flour dough doesn’t contain meat, eggs, sugar, or dairy, which meant Catholics could eat the simple treats even if they were on a highly restricted diet. Pretzels were so ubiquitous in the weeks leading up to Easter that it was natural for medieval artists to sneak them into their depictions of Jesus’s final meal.

I was drinking it through a straw and I heard a ding on my teeth. I went to get it out and it was a Shard of Glass. I started looking in the bottom of the glass. I was checking to make sure that they were no breaks in my glass, and found none. I saw at the bottom they were a few more it looked like. So I poured it through a strainer they were tiny shards of glass. I hope to God I didn't ingest any of those. But if you will put this on your list. Do you mean Self rising flour? I live in Alabama, have for about 16 yrs, moved over here from Mississippi after hurricane Katrina took my home. In all the time I’ve lived in the South there’s only been one ingredient I’ve been unable to find: SCRATCH. It’s never on the shelves…anywhere. With everyone cooking from SCRATCH it must stay sold out! When people give you recipes they say “It’s made from SCRATCH” or “ Make it from SCRATCH” & “It’s best from SCRATCH”. I asked once if I could borrow or buy some SCRATCH if they had any extra as it’s never in the stores. I’ll never forget that moment…this perfectly coiffed woman with a heavenly scent of Lilacs & Wisteria tilted her head ever so slightly to face me & softly laughing said “ Bless your heart, aren’t you a funny one.” I knew then I’d never get my hands on this mysterious SCRATCH, & that her diamond smothered manicured hands hadn’t been in a kitchen in a very very long time. I could tell you there’s no such thing as SCRATCH, just a cute joke, but I’d be lying. We all cook from SCRATCH, don’t we Ms Pam! SCRATCH is the ingredients combined with the time & love you give to make any recipe. That’s cookin from SCRATCH! No longer the illusive mystery ingredient. Please don’t tell me there’s another one. I’ve been searching store by store in 3 county’s so far for South Rising Flour & nobody’s heard of it. In fact they look at me like I’ve been in the cooking sherry at 9 in the morning. Could this be a typo or Spellcheck in the sherry!?! Common sense tells me it’s Self rising flour but the last time this happened to me I was a stranger in a strange land looking for SCRATCH. This time I’m old, in Alabama looking for South!
      Am I being punked?!?!

    Oh I have to make these! As a child when we went to visit my grandma in Dayton, Ohio, there was a bakery that made them by hand. We used to go in and watch the bakers twist those pretzels with the twist of their hands! We'd buy a couple dozen at a time. Best eaten warm out of the oven!🥨

    I came back here to say how delicious these are! They are even delicious the next day! Instead of stuffing them with the extra working of the dough, I simply dipped them into melted plum jam. I topped them with cinnamon sugar during baking. I also dipped them in mustard. So good! Will repeat for sure. Thank you, Pam! This recipe is priceless.

    I'm from the Philly area, but live in the South now. 2 days ago, which looks like the same day you posted this video. I had a nostalgic, homesick moment and craving for a big soft pretzel. I searched for recipes and thought, forget it.
    But you came through. It's 1 in the morning, I am placing an instacart order now so I can make these pretzels later today.
    Thanks Ms. Pam for showing me what to do. 😉

    About the pretzels though. Ok...in a rush, I guess the processed canned stuff, BUT, they aren't going to taste like an actual pretzel, or have the texture. Part of what does this for pretzels we love is the baking soda bath they get.

      Technically the pretzel is one ingredient, biscuit dough. The egg wash and salt are optional. The egg wash is for the look of the pretzel. The salt, she said, is also optional for taste.

    • @Volcanic_Eruption
      @Volcanic_Eruption 22 часа назад +4

      Optional ingredients do not count, be serious.

    • @ladytjoy
      @ladytjoy 20 часов назад

      @Starsview72 technically, you should watch the video. The only ingredient she said was optional was the salt, which I didn't count. The biscuit dough is cooked in water and baking soda (2 more ingredients listed than the 3 that were in the 1st minute) and if you didn't do an egg wash, they'd have the shape of pretzels but they wouldn't be pretzels.

    • @ladytjoy
      @ladytjoy 20 часов назад +1

      @@Volcanic_Eruptionyou're right, they don't. That's why I ignored the one ingredient she mentioned was optional. Had I counted it, I would have said 4.

    I'm a 1:25 in and these "1 ingredient" pretzels are already in reality 3 ingredients, the final total is 5 ingredients!!! Why not just give the real number or not even mention the number at all, especially if it's wrong? They still look really good, though.
