I'm gluten sensitive but found I tolerate ancient wheat (Einkorn) really well and have been making pizza crust with it, comes out really great. I do the yeast risen dough, only takes about an hour to rise. Totally agree on amount of sauce, I just put a very thin layer too, but lots more mozzerella and also grate parmesan on top too, sprinkle with oregano and hot pepper flakes, then toppings.
@@elyse443 No, not significantly different, the Einkorn has a slight hint of nuttiness....its quite nice. But since its a much lower gluten content, it doesn't do well with trying to achieve a real fluffy, airy sandwich bread, but does great for pizza crust, bagels, biscuits, english muffins, pita and naan breads, dumplings and as a thickener as you would use regular flour.
Ms Pam, you are such a beautiful person! I absolutely love your cooking and tips. I also appreciate your recalls that you shout out to us. Thank you so much!

Just tried this recipe. Easy to make. Used my kitchen aid to whisk dry ingredients to make sure it was well mixed then used dough hook to knead before dumping on my counter to knead further then roll out . Nice and crispy when done .
One thing i have seen for these quick doughs, you could use a lighter flavored beer instead of water. It would activate the gluten but also add a yeasty flavor.
So glad someone has finally explained that preheating an oven takes longer than just reaching the target temperature! I watched the 2 ingredients bread and got my supplies for it today. Also, I have been dying for pizza all week, so I'm so pleased to see this segment!
I'm new here and OMG, you are the best! Lord willing and the creek don't rise.... hard that a many a day in my youth! My Granny said that all the time!
Thanks! I just love how you showed how to do the dough in a machine and by hand, the way you talked about crust, the way you layered the cheese, toppings and finally the way you showed the finished product.
The purpose of kneading dough, is to (break) down the gluten, then let it rest, so that you (don’t) have to roll it excessively, then when you start rolling, it will stay in place instead of recoiling back.
Hey Pam, I just wanted you to know you have inspired my little four year-old great granddaughter. once again, a great recipe. Wanted to let you know, thanks to you, I can make stuffing with your bread recipe using the coconut yogurt. So that means my bread is good & non dairy which means my stuffing is non dairy. Now I can make pizza dough with my own grated mozzarella which makes it extra healthy without all the extra stuff like callouses. (Won’t eat the part with cheese), but I’m so grateful. As a 79 yr old recovering BC patient, eliminating those harmful ingredients means a lot for both me & hubby. Wanted to add- I make my own sauce from my garden. Makes this pizza even cheaper to make. Amazing Bless you
