Yola performs "Hold On" with Supporting Vocals by The Highwomen for Play On: A Benefit Concert

Genre bending artist, Yola performs her song "Hold On" featuring The Highwomen. Sheryl Crow also joins in on Piano. This powerhouse performance of women was just one of many incredible acts that joined the lineup for Play On: A Celebration of the Power of Music to Make Change. Play On is a concert benefit for The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund Inc. (LDF) and WhyHunger, two charities fighting for the countries most pressing issues: Racial justice, equity and food insecurity.

@@pipfox7834 YOU haven't heard of them til now, lots of other people have. Maren Morris has Grammys and ACM awards; Brandi Carlile has 6 Grammys and is nominated for seven this year, Amanda Shires and Natalie Hemby are also accomplished country musicians.

@@therain1189 You're funny. I have been extolling Yola's virtues loudly and far and wide since I first saw her at Newport Folk Festival in 2019. I was at her most recent album release party in Newport at Blues Cafe last summer. Brandi Carlile stole my Yola t-shirt to wear on SNL (kidding - Brandi has her own). And right now, at least where I live, Austin City Limits is rebroadcasting Yola's "Walk Through Fire" episode from 2020. Had to Stand For Myself ;)

I only today found her. Seen her sing it all by herself which was much better ( on PINK’s Facebook page for CCP) June 2021. Cannot believe how this woman and this song moved me. Every pore on my whole body had goosebumps!!
I love her voice. Yes I’ll admit I’m slow to the party. I know very very slow, but just now found her and she is my new jam. Can’t wait to see what else she sings. My opinion she’s better than the queen A.F.
