    He’s got the potential. As Wolves fans we were disappointed with him originally, seemed like a lacklustre appointment. Then we had the awful game against Ipswich and we all thought it was going to be a terrible season. Then it seemed to start clicking, the team not only gets what GON wants to do and are starting to back him. He’s done a really good job bringing the team together the last few weeks. Is he top 6? No, not yet. He has to get results consistently for more than a couple of seasons. Let’s say he stays with wolves, in the next season when he’s settled with his job security and can bring in the players he wants, is he going to continue getting better or will he just kind of level out and be a middle of the league manager? It’s too early but it’s promising

      I’m basing this on his Bournemouth career also mate. He kept them up with 3/4 games to spare which is madness considering everyone had them to finish rock bottom at Xmas.
      I rate him massively as a coach and I am confident I’ll be proved right on this one!

    Tbh the only reason nobody talks about Gary O'Neil that much is because Wolves are 12th rn (before Fulham game... Hopefully we get the 3 points and move on to 10th =D). I'll admit, I had my suspicions of GON as our manager replacing Julien Lopetegui initially. And you can't blame me seeing that the first 6 league matches or so were disappointing- except maybe the one against Everton and Man U. Honestly, it's been a rollercoaster for us Wolves fans- Amazing preseason against decent clubs, Sacking our manager and getting a replacement 5 days before the league started, putting up quite some disappointing performances, beating city, drawing newcastle, LOSING to sheffeild, beating Spurs. But I am thoroughly along for the ride and I'm really impressed by GON atp. I can see his potential and the amazing way he handles the club. If we could put up more consistent performances and we're fortunate enuf to avoid VAR disasters, we can break it into top 10 definitely!

    • @Heads_Volleys
      @Heads_Volleys  Год назад

      Definitely you’ve had ups and downs so far but even when you lost 9 times out of 10 you still put in a good performance and it just feels like the players are all moving in the same direction now I think the future looks really bright I mean your even scoring goals now which has been an issue in recent seasons 😊

      @@Heads_VolleysDefinitely! I thoroughly enjoy watching wolves play their matches now! They way they play has just become very dynamic and beautiful. VAR is a serious issue for us though. I can't even keep track of how much points we lost cuz of it...

    If Wolves finish in the top 10, Gary O’Neil is Defo manager of the season. Took over Wolves 4 days before start of the season, sold £140M worth of players, spent ZERO in January and none of the current squad are players that he’s bought. Getting the best of a squad that most pundits picked to get relegated. Would Pep, Klopp be able to do that? I doubt it.

    • @Heads_Volleys
      @Heads_Volleys  11 месяцев назад +1

      Totally agree mate I do think he needs to be giving more respect for the job he’s doing and I think Wolves finishing top 10 should give him the recognition he deserves

  • @marksmith7789
    @marksmith7789 11 месяцев назад +1

    You have to appreciate that he hasn't been able to buy any players because of FFP rules, h has what he has and that's it, we don't even have a proper number 9 for gods sake. We have a small squad and some of the players are not quite up to the standard but GON has got players playing out of their skins because they like him and he know his stuff. When we are allowed by the league to improve the squad watch us fly. All these big name managers you mentioned bought who they wanted/needed but GON didn't have that luxury, that makes him pretty damn special and he's staying at Wolves!!

    • @Heads_Volleys

    Top 11, no doubt. G O'N is an upgrade on Lopetegui and I agree with you guys about the future for Wolves & Gary.
    VAR has robbed us of 6 points.
    We've beaten City & Spurs, took points off Villa & Newcastle. Teams admittedly do not like playing Wolves.
    Getting rid of Matheus Nunes was a fantastic bit of business, £53m.

      Fighting for top 10 would be a great first season for GON like you say you already have some some big scalps this season and thinking you lost Neves and Nunes and got 100m hopefully you buy in jan and kick on 👍🏻

    Premier Leagues worst manager. By far. Hyped up by the media far beyond his actual abilities. The truth wins out in the long run and he has been truly found out now.
