Hey I’m the Supra owner Josh. Just want to clarify a couple things I see in the comments. My car is a 2021 and at the time of filming the ECU couldn’t be unlocked. It made 415WHP and 500WTQ on the dyno. Outside temp was in the negatives that day and the surface is full of rocks so we all had a hard time getting grip. I was also on the stock PSS tires that day
Nice ride bro, but to be honest no matter what the temperature was the new x drive would be a lot faster! I wouldn't own a car like the M4 without x drive its a game changer! I can always take it out of X drive whenever i feel like it that's a beautiful thing! It would be nice if that feature was offered in more sports cars imo!!
Makes more sense, I have a Supra on a DP/ 93 tune and have beat a G82 M4 .. but why did you or someone say it’s on a JB4 tune and made 450 lol. Good race either way
The power to weight was basically the same. The m4 has more weight which I'm sure helped it hook faster than the supra, otherwise it should have been almost the same times. Also the supra driver should have used launch control and left the gear shifting to the car......
JB4 Isn't a tune its a Piggy back device that adds boost by tricking the Map sensor. Get Supra with a real Tune that adds timing and fuel and and races should be a lot more competitive.
marty garcia: Probably you're right. In canada a real remap cost a lot, even more than in uk, so they use instead those shitty piggy back which just modify the values which came from maf,map and fuel temp to the ecu. Overshitty "tuning" for morons.

Is there a reason why you stab the throttle while lined up? seems counterintuitive for a good launch? why not use launch control or just stand on the brake and floor it to load up the converter?
The M4 driver was embarrassingly bad. I’m surprised they even uploaded the video. You guys should have packed up and went home after the 2nd launch. Just re-record it after a week of practice lol

@@laurent36 typo. My N55 must be messing with my mental. To that point the S58 is the big brother and is designed and expected to perform better in every metric. So its to be expected with this turnout sans weight etc.
It’s a b58 engine with a single turbo, it’s a s58 engine that gave birth to the b58. It’s also twin turbo. Love the Supra always my first passion car but speed it’s the m4.
People shouldn’t use paddle shifter if you don’t know how to use them. It’s not just shift till it’s gets to the redline very at has it’s sweet spot in shifting points 🙄
@@albieYT I’ve driven everything from a 500whp e85 5.0, to a 1000whp EVO X And manyyy in between.. you’re not going to convince me that launching an automatic 400hp RWD car is harder than launching a 280whp(or any hp for that matter) MANUAL car, wether it is AWD or not.. the tiniest hiccup in your launch and the car bogs and your run is ruined.. an auto you just floor it, fight the wheel spin and go.

Is there some agreement with someone that if there is butchering going on that you all refuse to do-over, do another take? I'm not sure why you guys didn't consider these runs practice to do them right for the final runs in the video. Still enjoyable, so thank you for the video.
