Totally subscribed within the first minute. Very well done. Remarkable cinematography and editing. Can’t wait to see more.
Incredibly kind of you to say man. I appreciate it so much! More on the way!
“Should we just go right now” That’s the energy we need! Love that river and this edit.
Hahaha every group has to have that guy. Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching!
Job well done on the cinematography. The green has the most trout per square mile, but it is also one of the hardest due to pressure and water clarity. Presentation is key to having success on this river, and that honestly just takes days of practice. I learned how to fly fish on this river. I was blessed to have a family home in Dutch John for many years. Those rising fish were taking size 22 to 20 BWO dries on your first over cast day. On the sunny days those and size 20 midge dries would be key to dry fly fishing as well.
It would be an incredible experience to grow up so close to the river. I couldn't agree more, those fish are picky. The BWO hatch is tough as well just because there can be so many bugs on the water. I find it challenging to convince the fish to pick my fly when it's surrounded by the real deal, haha. I really appreciate the advice and kind words! Thanks for watching!
What great cinematography and a bunch of great friends.
Thanks so much for the kind words. There will be more of these to come!
Well done guys! Love the story and editing. Look forward to more episodes!

This was a cinematic masterpiece- well done
So stoked you enjoyed and appreciated the work! Thanks for watching man!
As a fly fish film aficionado, I certify that this is bussin Frfr no cap
Haha it's a little too easy to spend the entire afternoon on RUclips! Appreciate your kind words man!
Excellent filming. Having grown up in Vernal I will give you a tip on catching a real monster. Don’t stop fishing at dark. Use a 7 inch fluorescent minnow imitation below the dam to little hole. Good luck 👍
Wow, thank you so much for the tip! I'll definitely give it a shot for a few hours after the sun goes down next time!
Also, thanks for watching! So appreciated!
Nice! I hit that section once a year usually and have caught the biggest trout of my life there.
I've pulled quite a few PB's out in that river over the years as well! Thanks for watching!!
Love watching you guys enjoy what you do! I moved to Smithfield a few months ago, and I'm glad to see all the potential and beauty nearby. I'm slowly exploring!
So much close to us! I spend a lot of time on the Bear just over the border!
My wife and I almost made it to the Green last summer and were bummed we didn’t. Your film has re-energized us to get out there now! Great film!
Stoked you guys get to go out! I'd recommend timing your trip with the ciqueda hatch! It's unreal! Thanks so much for watching!
This film was awesome. Getting me pumped for my trip to Zion area in March. If I can have a quarter of the success it looked like you had, I will be ecstatic.
Zion is incredible man! I appreciate your kind words and the watch! Good luck on your trip!
Excellent work gentlemen. You did a fantastic of both capturing the amazing fishery, but also combined it with a well documented adventure.
So glad you enjoyed it. It's a tough balance! Thanks so much for watching!!
Great video. Pretty typical of everyones first time to the Green. High expectations and low to no success. But you stuck after it and figured it out.
It's a challenging river! Could easily spend the next decade at the Green alone! Thanks for the watch man!
Can't believe the editing and storytelling. Well done. Subscribed.
Thanks so much. We've, for way more of this, coming down the road!
Making a consumable fishing vid is tough so props for that. Caught my eye to see a film about my walking trail LOL. Best of luck in you film making endeavors.
I appreciate it, it always helps when the fish feel like eating haha!! Many more to come!!
Been a fan of your shorts for a long time man. Your shots are incredible. What an incredible river to call home!
Love the video man! Sorry about mikes truck but it looks like one hell of a weekend! Can’t wait to see the next video
Thanks so much for watching! Just aspiring to be like you Sam haha
Great video guys! I have been lucky enough to spend the last 26 years fishing this river and living in Dutch John. I hope to see you guys next time you visit.
Thanks so much for the watch! 26 years in Dutch John would be incredible!
I fully understand how hard this was to put together. Great edit! Pumped you guys figured some things out on the Green, made it all worth it!
Wow, thanks so much, man!! Just checked out your stuff! Loved it! Subbed!
Love your thumbnails!
@@mountainwell Thanks, if you ever find you way out to California, I'd be happy to show you around some of our rivers!
As a Logan native I approve this amazing video, Mountainwell is going to make history
🙏🙏🙏 Doesn't get better than cache valley! If only the fish in the Logan were as big as they are in the Green! Thanks so much for watching man!!!
I don’t even care about fishing and I was so invested
Me too
Haha thanks Hailey!

Thanks man!!! Glad you enjoyed!!
Nice video and nice catch! The brown looks nice to..To be honest, I didn't think the trout was that nice in the states! Cheers from a norwegian fisher
Thanks so much! They're certainly around, just tough to find! How is the fly fishing in Norway?
i've watched every fishing video you've put out brotha, keep killin it with the content!
I appreciate it so much! Thanks for watching and the kind words!
Shows massive fish with bloody tail… SMH. If you’re gonna floss reds, just don’t film it.

So appreciated!! Filming the next one here in the next couple of weeks!
I need to get to Utah!! Great stuff man!! 🔥
I think it should be on everyone's list. If you do your trip right, there are tons of incredible rivers surrounding the Northern Utah, Southern Idaho, Western Wyoming region!
Thanks so much for watching!
@@mountainwell Utah is ruined. Wyoming and Idaho has nothing for people.
how awesome what a trip i need to go back to the green soon its so much fun what a great video kind of camera are you using

As a fellow fishing a hunting filmer on RUclips the amount of editing this takes is unreal dude congrats on a heck of a video
Appreciate it man! I certainly think the hard work is worth it!
@@mountainwell amen, I just moved to Utah from out east but I’ve lived in Idaho and caught a lot of 20inch trout and a 27inch brown on spinning rod I love it out here. I’m editing a video rn I caught 80 trout here in Utah yesterday in 3 hours 18 on nymphs the rest on rapala 😂if you ever wanna collab lmk 👌🏼
Sick video.
Thanks man! Stoked you enjoyed it!
Incredible!! keep it up!!!
Thanks so much!! Planned the next few yesterday! More to come ASAP. Thanks for the kind words and the watch!
So good. Logan is the man!
No doubt!!! Stoked you enjoyed!!
What an awesome video man, you inspire me to get after it and start filming! subscribing
Can't say thanks enough for watching, man! Stoked that your getting after it with the camera!
Nice work and cinematography! Hoping to get into fish filming this summer with my husband.
The I learned from the New Fly Fisher “trouuuut” comment had me dying. We say the same thing these days 😂.
It's certainly a ton of fun!! Hahaha I'm glad you got a laugh! If only our fish were as big 🤷♂️
DUDE! this is what i want to do, videography is my dream man! love what you’re doin!
I'm so stoked you enjoyed, man!! I'm having a ton of fun leaning the ropes!

Just subscribed. I really liked the video. Keep them coming.
Appreciate your kind words and the sub! I'll keep them coming!
Nice vide my dudes! Subscribed. Those take a lot more work than people think. Im in Ogden. See ya out there.
Would love to spend more time on the Weber!! Thanks so much for watching, man! See you out there!
Love your vids man! Am a local to the west of you (Tremonton) and am getting into content creating fly fishing as well. We should make something together! Keep that skin in your nets boys🫶
Yeah, man, shoot me an email, would love to chat! So stoked you enjoyed!!
Sweet vid, glad you guys got some redemption on the final day, makes the bad days worth it. Also, that one fish that you said looks like a bird got it, it looks like it actually was another fish!
Thanks, man! I am too, would've been a long ride home otherwise, haha. Wow, I didn't realize that they fought like that!
I have had more than one long ride home after a tough trip, but I guys that's what gets us coming back. Big Browns eat smaller trout often, or at least try to!@@mountainwell
500th sub, loved the video
THANKS so much!! Psyched you enjoyed the film. Many more to come!
Great trip & video!!
Thanks so much for watching, I'm stoked you enjoyed!!
Man we slayed fish all weekend on that section of the Green last time I fished there. They probably found a redd.
Great section! Was on it again this last weekend!
Just came across your channel and subscribed. Good stuff!
Thanks, man!! Stoked that your enjoying it!
Awesome video, new subscriber here. We were just on that section of the Green and were impressed. What time of year were you there?
Great section! We were there last fall! So stoked you enjoyed!
New sub here, what a great video, well done !!!
Thanks so much, man!! So stoked you enjoyed it!
credit where credit is due... some damn good content/editing/storytelling audio.. whole gambit!
Thanks, man, for the kind words and for the watch! Lots of hard work, but it's so rewarding! More to come!
Loved it. Subscribed.
Thanks so much man!!
Just found your video…awesome! What size rods were you all using?
Varied quite a bit! 5 and 6 for nymphs, 7 for streamers and a 3 weight euro rod!
need a group of friends like this ughhhhh
Everyone needs a fly fishing crew! 🙏
Great video. You got some excellent skills. Look forward to seeing some more!
Very much appreciated!! Thanks so much for the watch, man.
They are normal to catch at 18" bro go to strawberry reservoir trouts are always big there
Great video. I’m in Utah as well and have been dying to fish the green. What camera was this filmed with?
You have to go! It's the best fishing in the state! This was filmed on a combo of a Sony a7r4, dji air 2s and Go Pro Hero 12!
Thanks so much for watching!
amazing vid good work
Thanks so much for watching! More to come!
cant wait!@@mountainwell
what camera was this filmed on cause wow!
This was filmed on a Sony A7r4, DJI Air 2s, and Go Pro Hero 12! The footage out of the Sony was filmed in an HLG3 color profile, which helps with the color grading in post!
Thanks so much for watching! Glad you enjoyed!
How do you like living in Logan? Planning on seeing that area this summer . You said you moved from the east coast? What part? I'm in western PA. Nice filming! Yall killed it once you got it dialed in! Sweet! Tightlines!
It's incredible! Great access to fly fishing in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho! My buddy Logan moved out from PA and likes enough here that he doesn't plan to go back haha. I appreciate the watch and the kind words man! Take care!
@@mountainwell ..Thanks!
dope edit!
Very appreciated! Thanks so much for the watch!
Why the stick clip??
I attached a go pro mount to the end of it. It allows us to get better shots under water without disturbing holes as much! Thinking about filming something climbing related here in the near future!
Thanks for watching man! So appreciated!
Insane video. We should link up!
Thanks for the watch man!! Shoot me an email!! 👀
Awesome video! I just sent you an email! Hope we can get out on my drift boat soon!
Appreciate the watch Eric! Looking forward to the BIG project
Nothing like mid 20 year olds finding out about spawning browns in late October. $1000 says those same 4 guys will be camped out at that spot at the same time for the next decade. This is the reason I can no longer fish the Green and see what it has become
Homie its just a vid, go drink ur coffee, go to work, and fish a different river:) 😭
Hey Jake, totally understand the concern here, we're certainly advocates of conservation and keeping the fishery healthy. River managers in this region are concerned with overpopulation and encourage folks to get out this time of year so the fish can grow bigger and stay healthy. I noticed you had mentioned we'd likely be back this November in another comment. You can count on that and tag along in Guardians of the Green | Volume 3. Appreciate the watch and interest!
No offense but I’m so glad to see other guys suck on this river
Nice to hear you had some guys tell you what to use…most guys on that river are stingy af on what to use
Haha, I will be the first to admit that I have gotten whooped on that river my entire life. I've found that there are a few hatches that are more consistent than others, Ciquedas being the best! Thanks so much for watching, man!
Ain't that the truth! The fish are picky as hell. I was there a couple of days ago and got lucky to have a guy nymphing straight across from me who told me what he was using so I managed to catch a few.
@@tl56kmaircare to share?? 🙏
Are people really getting mad in the comments about fishing for a non native species (brown trout)? Hahaha
Dude fucking 10/10, what part of the green did you go for? But loved the edits, the cinematography fr
Thanks man! We were beneath flaming gorge here. So stoked you enjoyed. The next one, Lord of the Flies | Volume 1 - coming out here in the next week or so!
As a southern utah transplant, Def looking forward to it 👍 If you get a chance, you should try and complete the utah Cuthroat slam ;) if ya haven't already.
Just moved to Utah from Az . Have fished browns all over Az but havent a clue where to go or any guys to go with. Any dudes near cedar wanna go out im always down! .
Utah is awesome!! Look north and you'll find great locations. The boulder mountains have a lifetime worth of exploring and fly fishing you could do! Thanks for watching man!
What month was this?
What's with the stick clip at 1:12? lol
Haha great question, used it to mount the go pro to get hard to reach underwater shots.
@@mountainwell nice!! lol
Euro nymphing not a good technique on the Green?
Depends on the day!! I've had some crazy days on the wizard stick using perdigons early summer and spring!
That's the only why I've been able to catch anything on that river.
When was this filmed?
Last fall!! Thanks for the watch!
Hopefully that giant Brown survived..
It tasted so yummy ;)
intro is fire!!!!!!!!
I couldn't look away😂
Appreciate it!! Way to much time and energy went into that first 20 seconds 😂
What's your insta? I got a few questions
Just got one made! Hit me up! "Mountainwellmedia"
