  • By leapfrogging and sampling several reaches of stream, close to 100 miles of stream was covered in eight days. Many other miles are completely de-watered due to irrigation - but large springs bring it back. The bigger Brown trout were on the redds up and down the full length so the pools were fished while staying away from the gravel sections. Just watching the Browns finning above the gravel was a pleasure though. The pace of the gravel bike is a perfect way to scout and easy to hop on and off at the beaver dams and pools.

Even if the fishing sucked (which it didn't), the scenery more than makes up for it! Beautiful! Enjoyed this one for sure! Thanks!

Hey Dave, glad you found it! Hope you are holding-up better than I am and this old goat is still okay - just slower and wobbly.

Enjoy your fly fishing videos. My son, David lives in Salt Lake and when I visit we make sure time is spent fly fishing together. Thanks for you videos, you give both of us great places to visit. Tom Thomas, NC

Good video and it looks like pretty good fishing too! A might chilly that morning - but, in the fall even that is good.

Stunning time of year to be out! I landed more than my share of fish but I played and lost another 40-50 fish.

What was you species composition? Looked like mostly brown, but hard to tell from a lot of the angles.

    Utahs longest rivers?
    The longest is the Colorado.
Second longest is the Green, third is the Bear and fourth is the San Juan. Don't have a clue where your at?

Maybe Provo River, the longest which begins and ends in Utah ¿ not sure why he won’t just name the river. Some folks just want to keep it secret I guess.

Just came across your video thanks for sharing. I’m lucky if I get out twice a year. Looks like you had the place to yourself most amazing part. Do you have an Instagram where I can direct message you?
