- 3 ingredient apple dump cake with cake mix and apple pie filling, something between a cobbler and crisp, this easy dump cake is full of fruit and buttery goodness.

INDREDIENTS:
2 (21-ounce) cans apple pie filling or ( 4 pounds fresh apples peeled, corded and sliced)
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup unsalted buttered, melted
Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 13x9 baking pan, spread the apple pie filling in the bottom of the pan, top with the cake mix, pour the melted buttered over the cake mix, bake until golden brown and apples are bubbling about 1 hour.

Gonna try this recipe and add cinnamon and nutmeg to it. Easiest dump cake recipe I've come across. Most others add unnecessary sugar, baking soda or powder and I've tried those but found them to be too sweet. Thanks for keeping it simple.

Wow I never thought to melt the butter first because placing them as small squares in melted is good but some of the cake still had the cake power so ima definitely gonna melt it next time
Hello Mrs. Beverly! It’s Easter Sunday, and I did not make it to the grocery store! I do have a ham we got at Christmas that has been in the freezer, and I have that in my crock pot. I had jello so I’ve made 2 boxes up with crushed pineapple I had in the refrigerator for awhile. Now I’m looking for an apple recipe, because I have some apples in the drawer of my fridge that are getting old. So this dump cake recipe sounds wonderful! I also have 2 emergency boxes of scallop potatoes in my pantry and some shredded cheddar that needs to be used up!
