      Why do you see everyhing in black and white and have to bring color into every conversation. Could it be the officer meant since the crime was so heinous they were srprised the criminal had no record ? I suspect thats exactly what was meant and any officer dealing with such a serious offence would be surprised the perpetrator would have a clean record . In most cases a person commiting a serious offence has a record and have started with low level crime and commited increasingly serious crimes

    My ex had a sex worker followed me . I noticed one day as I was walking in my neighborhood a woman parked across the street from my place. It wasn’t the first time but I ignored it the first time since it could be that she was waiting for someone there, but that day my intuition told me, she’s watching you, so I took a photo and video of her and her car. Happens to be that he had her watching me all I was doing. He was a very controlling man and he knew I was suspicious of his cheating . When I got him arrested I showed the cop the photo and video and he told me that she was a sex worker and she was famous in jail (they knew her record), they told me that if she was watching me she didn’t have good intentions towards me, that I was lucky I called the cops on him and I probably stopped her from harming me.

    Messiah Booker, also known as Matthew Booker, 38, was found guilty in January for several charges stemming from a shooting at the River Pointe Apartment complex on East Main Street, according to prosecutors. The shooting occurred while Booker was on parole release from prison on a prior felony conviction stemming from the fatal shooting of Dimitri Hampton, 21, during a home invasion in Flanders on Jan. 27, 2013.
    Booker was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for his involvement in a May 2022 shooting that injured one person, as well as drug charges, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney.

Says more about how highly he thought about himself, while having no problem playing whoever he felt was beneath him and was worthless. Realistically it's 20 yrs. The sentence is 50 years... and they suspended "all but 20". That means he really has to serve 20, but the other 30 is suspended unless he commits some other crime. If he does, the court has the right to make him serve the other 30. But otherwise, he'll just serve 20 and wont have to worry about the other 30 unless he commits some other crime. So that other 30 years is hanging over his head if he messes up and commits some other crime (especially if it's a felony).

    • @junglekutz5625
      @junglekutz5625 14 дней назад

      If someone is at the point of wanting to kill their spouse. No one (in that union) should have an interest in forcing themselves to make what’s obvious, work! Just reading your comment alone, was exhausting. It’s beyond dysfunctional thinking to invest energy (as well as think) that you can turn that which is toxic, into something that can *be good. If the union and chemistry of both individuals are on the same page……there would not be friction….and things will run smoothly. Things like friction, inconsideration and con-fusion of any kind are red flags that’s demanding your undivided attention.

    • @wcrimeusa
      @wcrimeusa 2 месяца назад

      Absolutely, it's commendable that the woman took action and potentially saved a life by reporting him to the police. The gravity of his actions deserves severe consequences, and while a 20-year sentence is significant, some may argue that it should have been longer considering the magnitude of the crime.

    Not sure why they didn’t charge all of the four people in the second case involved in the armed robbery with felony murder. Then, they don’t have to prove who pulled the trigger, they’re all equally guilty of the crime. Sad that a Brady violation prevented the family from getting Justice. I’ll never understand why prosecutors get so scared to turn over evidence.

    • @wcrimeusa
      @wcrimeusa 2 месяца назад

      It's understandable why you might question the decision not to charge all individuals involved in the armed robbery with felony murder. Aside from the cop being surprised that not all black people commit crimes, associate with known felons, or realizing that they "missed one to put in the system", the bigger travesty I have to ask questions about is how many black people this prosecutor has setup/railroaded their trial? Something tells me there's an innocent black person sitting in jail right now because of him or one that has been framed for a crime they didn't commit because they got away with another.

      It wasn’t about him being black. They were surprised bc usually robberies are done to people involved with drug deals. Usually a bigger group of people don’t come to rob an old couple. The cop was expecting it to be a dealer or something. It’s pretty easy to figure out but I guess most of the commenters haven’t been involved in that lifestyle

    This family still deserves justice for a beloved son, brother, cousin, and uncle that was murdered in cold brother. It was not the fault of Demetrious' family that the DA was corrupt and ruined their chances of having justice for themselves for his loss. Why couldn't this be retried with another prosecutor and making sure the defense has all of the documents that were purposely withheld? It is not right that the family was done this way and the potential murderer is not held responsible. I have no faith in our judicial system, from top to bottom.

    It amazes me that men and women still think they will not be exposed for having killed their partner. Either for revenge, a new relationship or most important to them "the money" If a child is involved, the child will later want to know who their father or mother is. The only thing is that you miss their childhood. So be it, move on. These are people who supposedly see no way out. Until they find out their way out is jail. Then they are cowards who are scared and lie flat out to stay out of jail.
