I recommend sending them clothes only AFTER you have went to places like Plato's or Buffalo Exchange and have attempted to sell certain items on other platforms like Ebay or Poshmark or Depop. If you cash out you get maybe $10 tops but if you use it as a store credit you get more money. TLDR send clothes to them as a last resort before donating. Great for buying clothes though.
Thredup is probably good for buying. However it sucks for selling. I got 50 cents for a shirt a really good quality shirt. Plus the fact they charge you to get your items back that didnt sell. What a SHAME. 😔
Great place to buy clothes, but selling not so much. You don't get much for your clothing. Now they are requiring you to put what you think the item will sell for and you get a percentage of it (not much) the most I've gotten for a item was $1 and some change.
I think your best option is to were your clothes until there wore out. Then I use the remaining for shop rags. But that's easy for me as I am a carpenter that rarely is seen without t-shirts and jeans on.😁 great video
This will be perfect since I have so much time to declutter now. But where I live I can't just drop something in front of my door. Should I just take it over to my local post office?
Wow I love that. But they send bags to my Island here in Puerto Rico? To recicle clothes. I KNOW SOME STORE FRON THRIFT STORE. Ill been there bring some, and I buy some too.
Teenagers often grow out of their clothes before they wear them out... typical problem for those between 15 and 20 years old... No need to harsh their mellow.
Don't judge people's decisions before understanding why. I have fluctuating weight and have had it for a few years. I needed to buy a variety of clothes because I needed different sizes. I had a small closet and 4 big drawers filled before getting rid of nearly everything due to moving house. I'm 22 years old and a lot of my clothes were from when I was 13 to 16 years old. Because of my fluctuating weight, I could still fit into some of them, but that also meant I had to buy bigger clothes when my weight decided to go up or I bloated.
I have clothes in my closet that I bought when I was 45 and I'm 58 now... so current age does not affect the age a person was when they originally bought the clothes.

The one thing that hit me straight away is the huge plastic bags, wonder what they do with all that plastic ? 🤔
