Thanks for the kind and detailed review! Difficult to get a sense of this from other sources, so I very much appreciated this hands on review. Many thanks and keep very well! ( And Merry Christmas :)
Great review - thanks - thinking of the i7 unit for similar reasons - train travel and flights, reading files and papers/ reports/ books......and some music and films ..... How is the battery life ? Maybe you could cover in another video ? Thanks
Infrared mouse location on this laptop is literally the only thing driving me mad. Because it's so close to the edge, i touch it unknowingly with clothes, sleeves, leaves, cat hair and more. And it just disrupts whatever intense operations I'm doing on it.
I've since also purchased the GPD P2 Max, I ought to do a video about that too, but bearing in mind the Covid thing I've yet to use it on a commute, being stuck working from home. The processor has half the cores of the OneMix and you can tell in some scenarios, however the screen on the P2 Max is a definite improvement being a little larger. You'll need big pockets: the P2 Max does still just slip into a lounge jacket pocket, but not a standard jacket inside pocket.
I've got the chuwi minibook with 8100y in, its really good and was perfect for the price, think I paid around £450 with 16gb ram and 512gb NVME. Will get another when they do a ryzen 4000 version
Yes and no. It has a significantly better processor, with the tenth generation quad core Intel i5/i7, but from what I can tell, it has the same Intel 615 graphics. So, CPU heavy games will perform better, while GPU heavy games will run about the same. The main profit will be felt with emulators, because those rely mostly on CPU power. Check out Taki Udon’s videos on the GX1 for an impression of the gaming performance. The specs between that and this Mix 3 Pro are about the same. I have the GPD Win 2, but I’m seriously considering selling it and getting this. It’s just a lot more practical for just about any task and even for gaming I would prefer to use this one in tablet mode with an iPega 9083 instead of the GX1.
I got both the gpd win 2 and the i7 version of the one mix. The one mix performs a lot better than the gpd win 2 from testing games in steam like metal gear solid phantom pain and dmc. Note that I’m using the i7 model which is a better processor than the gpd win 2s. You can always undervolt the devices and the gpd win 2 can perform decent as well but it heats up a lot more from my experience.
I noticed that you had some problem with key presses and usability when it was folded into the tablet option. Did you try it with windows 10 tablet mode? Does that take care of some of the issues?
It's a pity that the keyboard on the OneMix 3 Pro is still active in tent & tablet mode. With that oversight and the price, I'm a bit put off with the OneMix 3 Pro.
Hi there, great video. I notice you sound like you're in the UK - how are you charging the Yoga 3 (as I assume it does not ship with a UK 3 pin charger)? And how long does it take to charge?
It did ship with a UK charger, a small wall wart offering 24W PD charging at up 9, 12 and 15V. You can also charge and run it it from a half decent 5V charging port, although charging will be slow. Battery is ~31Wh so when switched off, with losses it'll probably take 1.5 to 2 hours to charge with the supplied wall wart, but I haven't measured it. I usually use any of a multitude of USB-C PD chargers I have around, so you don't have to use the one supplied.
@@bumblebeeelle That's because this question should be a no-brainer. Just go through all the reviews for regular laptops WITHOUT A GPU and you'll find out that all of them struggled for video editing. Sure, given that the chipset is powerful, it is only limited to LIGHT VIDEO EDITING. So if regular laptops, with the same specs as this, is struggling with MEDIUM TO HEAVY VIDEO EDITING, what more for this, right?
I've been using it for about three months now. I'm using it right now, typing this, connected to a 4k monitor and external wireless keyboard/mouse combo using a USB-C docking hub. It's OK, except the USB-C no longer works for video, although USB 3.0 SuperSpeed and power delivery charging are fine. Not sure if this was an over the air firmware update or a hardware failure: I did reinstall from the recovery partition, but the same fault was there. Micro HDMI still works but is limited to 4k30p.
Hi there, thanks for the awesome review of the unit. Couple of questions from me. Would it be possible for you to run some benchmark like PCmark, 3Dmark on it? Also in the bios, is there settings to change the TDP up/down? Or you could do a video on the available bios settings? What was the window 10 build version that was shipped? Hear from you soon :)
From the Event viewer, it looks like it shipped with Windows build 18362 which I think is the May 2019 updates on top of 1903. Also note that 100GB of the disk was partitioned off as an empty D: drive for some reason. I merged it with the C: drive. I currently have 1909 running on it. Looks like it was originally built on 15 January 2020, and I received it on 18 February 2020.

Far too big! They won't fit in your pocket, and are inconvenient to use on a commuter train. And I hate the flip stand. I've collected three Microsoft Surfaces over the years, the flip stand is the worst part of the design, it makes them very difficult to use on your lap.
The keyboard does disable, but only when it's almost completely folded into tablet mode. The problem with this is that in tent or flipped mode, it's too easy to accidentally press a button when moving it. The on/off button is never disabled, again it's too easy to accidentally press it in one of the flip modes.
Thanks for review. I think this pc is a useless toy for those people, who coding. The Tab key is must have! It better to put a Capslock to the place of Tab.
I regularly use it for coding when commuting, I'm a mixed signal embedded systems engineer, so lots of C. There is a tab key, it's just not in the best position. If you're not a public transport commuter, I agree, not much point. It means you can be productive even when you can't get a seat.
Almost 11 minutes before you opened it and turned it on. If your reviewing the OneMix 3 Pro then concentrate on that don't waste my time on all the comparisons with other things.
Thanks, but I won't be taking any advice from an account who's never uploaded any videos. I'm sorry your attention span is shorter than that of a peanut. Thanks for wasting your precious time on commenting, but it was just that, wasted time.

Nice hands-on review, man. But what is its battery life on typical tasks (writing text, browsing) and heavy load?

In one mix 3 pro, there is actually a functional key for you to disable the keyboard at the backspace key
