JOIN the Solo RPG Round-Robin! | The Adventures of Vector X

- In the month of July 2024 we are going to be carrying out an experiment in Cooperative Solo Role Playing! Together we will be building an adventure around our character Vector X as he dives into a mystery in the city of Telenar (and beyond?!).
The challenge will be to contribute a 15 minute Solo RPG session using any rules system you want, but a session that remains faithful to our sci-fi setting and narrative. Participants are given 72 hours (3 days) to record and upload a video to RUclips that will then be placed in a running playlist that everyone is able to build upon.
The purpose of this experiment is to have fun by showing how easy it is to jump into Solo RPGs. As such, there is no pressure on you to have a perfect session. Just come with your own energy and style, and we will see where this adventure takes us!
If you are interested in participating, please send an email ASAP to grayarmygaming@gmail.com with your top 3 preferences for days that you would like to contribute. If you have no preferences, I will simply place you in the schedule where it is most convenient. Once you are signed up, I will send you a link to the schedule and background materials that you might want to incorporate into your session.

Hello @CavernadoLekkis! How are the preparations for the move? (I have moved to a different country on several occasions, and it is quite the chore!) I am really excited about this! I cannot wait to see what story will be unfolded by all of the solo gamers! I was not familiar with Numenera. For everyone, the core book and a few supplements are free to read online! The setting is so unique and interesting! It leaves space for any type of story. I have started reading the setting and lore to get a feel of the world. So far, by artwork and equipment lists etc, I get a vague Dune-ish vibe. A somewhat techno-medieval setting with bedrolls made of synthetic fiber and battle axes made of synth steel! Just the name of some equipment fires up my creative brain, like memory ants, we need to have some memory ants in the adventure! Whatever they are! Great choice of setting! No firearms from what I can see at a first glance, which I would have liked, but probably we can create something like a techno-repeater crossbow "cypher" which would serve the same narrative purpose. @gray army gaming, my suggestion would be for your episode to be episode 1. I think it makes it more clear that it is the beginning of a story and not the setting/ character building episode.
