THE TURN | Order 66 Defectors, Ep. 1 | One-Hour Skirmish Wargames

- In this video we play our first game of One-Hour Skirmish Wargames in our series "Order 66 Defectors". The order has come from Palpatine, and a Jedi is gunned down in cold blood. But there is a handful of Clone Troopers that refuse the order. The consequence of this, however, might just be the defectors' own undoing...

There are a few rules errors that slipped their way into this game! Sorry! 😅 I will try hard to see that they don’t show up in the next battle! 😊👍🔥
I had to wait to see this with the wife:)!!! What a unique combat system!!!! Great Battle report!!!!!!
Thanks so much! The next game will be coming soon! 😊👍
This card method is a very interesting method for resolving this conflict.
Indeed! I look forward to trying it out again in future battles! 😊👍
In the case of a tie, the suit of the card determines the winner: Spades beats Hearts beats Diamonds beats Clubs (as in ridge). See p4.
Thanks for the correction! I will be sure to remember that in the next game! 😊👍
Great video and interesting system.
It is a lot of fun! I can’t wait to run the next game!! 😊👍
Love the contents. Keep it up
Thanks so much! It means a ton to have your support! The content is DEFINITELY going to continue!! I have so many fun ideas in the lineup! 🥳
You only draw for Initiative after the end of a turn (when a Joker is drawn). To be fair, a lot of players seem to get this rule wrong.
Thanks!
Heavy losses for the defectors. I have not read the one hour skirmish ruleset but the activation points system is really interesting.
It is a really quick and snappy system. Great for a fast game when you only have an hour. It would work awesome for a tournament where you need to play many games in a weekend!
Just got this game and am looking to try it out as well. Great battle report, looking forward to more.
Here a couple rules issues I saw.
When the cards are tied, you look at the suit, the order being spades beating hearts beating diamonds beating clubs. You only draw a second card if both cards share the same suit. Would not have mattered with the 5's, but the second time @4:12 the defector would have hit.
The close combat, the loser is removed from the game.
Also, I don't think you keep checking for initiative. You simply go back and forth with activation cards until a Joker is pulled. Then do end of turn stuff and redo initiative.
Awesome! Thanks for the rules corrections! 😊👍
Really excited to see this and looking forward to more!
Awesome! The next episode is in the works!! 😊👍
I’ve played a couple of games with my legion models and really like how quick the game moves.
@@TimboToys Totally! It is a nicely designed system!! 😊👍
Yes: the loser in CC is removed - it can be either the attacker or defender. Hierarchy of cards: S-H-D-C for tied draws. I'd play with a few more figures on each side, and start farther apart...they have guns for a reason!
Thanks for the tips! I will definitely incorporate them into the next game!
That was a lot of fun to watch and listen too. I'll have to check out these rules. I've been looking for something quick and versatile for my RPGs.
Thanks! Fascinating idea to roll this system over into RPGs! 😊👍
I think you are only supposed to shuffle a deck when the deck is exhausted. Though I cannot find a specific reference to this in the rule book. Not that it actually matters that much.
Interesting! I will need to check that out in the rules! Thanks! 😊
Will the Defectors face the Imperial Stormtroopers next in a rebellion attempt!?
Something like that is DEFINITELY in the lineup. Next game might be an attempt to commandeer a vehicle or a ship! We will see!! 🤩👍🔥
Your content is all I have of Star Wars since the mouse ruined it 🤦🏾♂️😂
Oh no!! I will HAVE to keep the Star Wars content coming then, for your sake! 😊👍
Where did you get these miniatures? Thanks!
Hi! These are the minis from the Star Wars Miniatures game from Wizards of the Coast that were produced in the early 2000s. I have been playing many games with them. Here are some examples: m.ruclips.net/p/PLZ0KSu-qTqVGxf0Lx7vX7qeUa0u-6IQjK
I see a lot of them for sale on eBay, if that helps!
If an attacker is defeated in close combat he should be immediately removed as a casualty. I know I've written a number of rules clarifications here on the comments, but in practice these nuances don't make that much of a difference. I think the game should be played fast and furious just as you've done here!
Thanks! Keep the comments coming! I hope to have an error free game in the next battle! Much appreciated!! 😊👍
