I think Miley singing like a prayer is her taking a risk that many other artists aren’t willing to do and I think it paid off for her!

I think it’s time to say this very humbly: THIS YEAR MILEY IS THE VOCALIST! She has proven she can drive around any TYPE OF MUSIC , ALWAYS being EXPRESSIVE , always putting HERSELF IN THE PERFORMANCE . It’s time people recognise it to her cause I can see just hate for her or at the maximum an over watch which is ridiculous for the amount of GOOD performances she pulled of this and last year
She’s always been a vocalist, only her fans realised this thing because everyone else so focused on controversy.

And just like Madonna back in the 80' and 90's .... Miley Cyrus is the ultimate stage performer of today !!! If only Miley had the catalogue of songs Madonna has . I am a huge Madonna fan but i can't say enough good about Miley . One of the top 5 female vocalists of our time , and she's not #5 . She just ''nailed'' three of Madonna's #1 hits .
You’ve got to remember though that Miley is only still 28, so young and so many more years of greatness ahead of her! She’s released 7 albums which is quite a lot of material for someone so young whereas Madonna was on her 3rd by that age.. by the time Miley gets to Madonna’s age she’ll have outranked her with the amount of amazing material she’ll have. I personally think she’s a lot more talented than Madonna. She was good in her hey-day but the past decade I’d say has been rather questionable for her career

As a huge Madonna fan I give credit to Miley. She was outstanding on the first 2 songs. She wasn't bad on Like a Prayer but the original song is so iconic that all covers simply sound funny when compared to the original.
But it shows incredibly well how well Madonna‘s songs sound if they are played by a real band and have real live and backing vocals rather then tons of pre-recorded instruments, backing vocals and autotuned lead vocals. Like A Prayer finally needs to be done by Madonna in a full rock arrangement rather than the cheap drum loop thing she did on Madame X or the dreadful ESC-version.
God knows why, Madonna sounds atrocious every time she sings.
Madonna is such a poor vocalist, Miley smashed it and performed it way better than Madonna ever could even in her prime

I loved that she sticked to the album version of Express Yourself, the best in my opinion because of its very joyful and powerful instrumentals. Madge always performs versions mostly based in Shep Pettibone's remixes, which are more kind of dance pop (or sth of the sorts) but have a little darker tone to them in my opinion.

It was amazing to come across this medley, as my voice has changed since i had two really bad chest infections last year back to back. My speaking and singing voice hasn't been the same since, and i am gutted because i've always been a good singer. Now, though, my voice has become more husky.... I always loved singing Madonna songs, but just felt unable to anymore. This has given me hope now; or rather, Miley has! I'm just going to have to embrace the new husky voice now and try and get back on it with a new style of singing.
Still wish i could repair my voice, though.

As much as I do love Madonna I can clearly see when she can do better than she does at times(speccially since 2012).
