I'm obsessed with this performance of "Like a Prayer"! The moment at 5:41 - 5:59, when she does the arm spin with her dancers, as if possessed by something divine and reaching religious ecstasy, is sensational.
If she had listened or stopped along the way due to criticism and lack of support she would've never gotten to the Blond Ambition era, or any Madonna era per say. She's the definition of inspiration.
Sadly, she dumped them like rotten food. Some actually sued her because she owed them money and she was very cold towards them. I have never seen this performance, but I started the RUclips search by watching the original video, then went to the Paris performance (which had the same choreography but executed differently to this one) but changed then to this one. and while I have been listening to the song I just keep imagining I am like at some house party, lights off but just some spot lights, and dancing to the song. I get to 5:12-5:30ish and that's exactly how I pictured myself dancing to this tune. What a performance.
