2013 was a very hard year for her. She probably should have taken some time off, but if she did that we wouldn’t have had Bangerz. But I’m assuming her breakup with liam and her dog dying was the reason for the tension. Probably severe anxiety in there.

She did have vocal surgery but in late 2019. She said in an interview her vocal cords were badly damaged from talking and singing too much and it's typically more common in elderly people. She said growing up in her career from a young age, she wasn't taught the care to make sure her vocal cords could last a long time. So she's thankful she could get that fixed and actually understand how to care for her vocal cords.
I just want her to do updated covers of her breakout album, like 4 walls, bottom of the ocean, 7 things. i feel like that album had her punk rock attitude trapped behind an industry pop sound, and she wrote all but one of those songs so I feel like her voice now would be so powerful behind them. i wonder if the reason she hasn't sung them since is because of a disney contract.
