The best I can figure, I have about three quarters of a million rounds fired through Krieghoff shotguns. Function and performance were always exceptional. Thank you for this tour of where they begin their lives.
Fabulous tour of the Krieghoff factory. I knew Krieghoff was high quality, but didnt appreciate how much work and detail goes into making this exceptional gun. Thanks to Lloyd, John, Wolfgang and everyone at the factory for the amazing insight into the making of a legend
"....It is stunning, you'll have your Head blown off by the quality, the precision and the level of the details that goes into these guns". As you rightly put it at the beginning of the video, it is all this and more. Look forward to part 2.
Just beginning to see why shotguns can be so damned expensive even before getting into engraving. Looking forward to episode 2. Thanks for sharing this with us Mr. P.
LP, Excellent tour video. I've had my K-80 Parcours for just over 2 years. I really enjoyed and appreciate getting to see the process that makes the gun. Thanks for the effort in production.
Excellent video. I was a dedicated Beretta shooter until I picked up a K-80 Parcours. I never dreamed I’d buy a “K” gun. The video confirms the quality and craftsmanship you get when you purchase one. And in the US you can get full factory service from Krieghoff gunsmiths at the big shoots. Hard to beat that.
This is the best gun production video that I've ever watched and reinforces the quality engineering from this gunmaker. You also got the emphasis perfectly right, on the product and not necessarily on the the presenter. That is a compliment BTW. Can't wait for further episodes.
Brilliant! I always think of these quality guns as an oil painting. Sure you can buy a photocopy cheaper and it will look just as good but it’ll never be an original. Lots of folks like innovation but personally, I prefer time tested perfection. Congrats to them for taking a great design, sticking with it long enough to see what works and perfecting the details. 👍🏼👍🏼
Perfect timing. Just received my Pro sporter back today after they fit the new 20 ga. barrel to my receiver. I was expecting to have to sight in both the.12 ga. original barrel and the new 20 but to my amazement they are both spot on. (They had worked on my 12 ga. rib too) I’m assuming they adjusted the 20 ga. rib based on my 12. Their tolerances are unbelievable. What an incredible Company and gun. This video proves why they are the absolute best manufacturer out their. Can’t wait for the next one and thank you for the videos.
WOW! so glad I came across this channel. i love these high end guns , Ill never afford one but I love the craftsman ship that goes into them. Works of art in every respect.
Hi Lloyd. Almost got to the end off this video and what a cracking video and cannot wait for the next one, after recently buying a K80 myself it’s very interesting to see how there all made, cracking video 😊
Excellent Lloyd. There's a lot of manual content in the manufacture of the barrels. Hence the price probably, unlike the automotive world. Can't wait for the next video.
it brings me a deep joy... maybe one that cannot really be described.. to see my brothers and sisters enjoying the dreams of my youth... succeeding at what I had originally aimed my life at being.. and talking... ... about... the lessons i learned. Absolutely brilliant. This might be the best video I’ve ever watched, by far and away best ever on RUclips. I wish I could buy a coffee table book based on this video. I live near the U.S. importer…I’m driving up to order one in a few weeks. Your fortuitous video release makes me wish I had upgraded to a K80 years ago. I don’t even care if I shooter better with it, as I’ll be happy just owning and shooting it!
Hi Lloyd That was the most informative and detailed video Now I know way there the price. As the workmanship is just to the next level That was just fantastic Lloyd So looking forward to the next part of the incredible journey Best video yet 👏👏
It is interesting that Krieghoff shows so freely and openly many manufacturing details. Other manufacturers would never show their cards when it comes to their manufacturing processes. Recognition!
Just wanted to totally agree the guy from K. who is your guide is down to earth and knowledgable, a lot more believable than a few of the obvious exec's in other video tours that should probably stay in the office.
They have the perfect receiver for extra deep relief engraving with just about any style to the graphics on your receiver breath taking job with deep relief. But if I had the money for such gun I'd get a Perazzi in a heart beat. These two guns are tops. To many moving parts in the Kriegoff trigger. Thanks for this episode
LIoyd, Thank you so much for this video- My K-80 32", 12 ga./ 20 ga. two barrel combo will arrive this month- can't wait to get my hands on a truly well engineered clay busting machine..
WOW!. its been my dream for the longest time to own a Krieghoff trap gun. I know that this will never happen, but this video brings me just that little bit closer... metaphysically, THANKS! Subbed here
Felicitaciones Lloyd siempre tan informativo tus documentales y sobre todo mostrando una de las mejores escopetas del mundo!! Gracias y saludos desde Chile
@@skigdividerx4991 You’ve failed to understand that these guns are an investment. When I started shooting they were around $10,000. Today they start at $15,000. When my shooting days are over and I monetize my guns, the cost of owning one of these wonderful guns will be minimal. So thank you for sharing your opinion on my post but I frankly could care less what you think.
Krieghoff is the highest quality shotgun ever produced and also one of the most expensive. Many people aspire to own them. Kreighoff also uses the world’s top shotgun engravers such as G. Stoegner (aka G. Stogner) who has created 7 Krieghoff “Guns of the Year,” more than any engraver. Recently, a G. Stoegner gun sold for more than $100,000 US on the secondary market. The #2 Kreighoff engraver is Jana Schilling, whose 2009 Krieghoff Gun of the Year also sold for $110,000 US at Pacific Sporting Arms in February 2024 (call and ask them). Kreighoff shotguns are a good investment and store of value, like high end collectible cars - the better engravers almost always bring a financial premium when they are resold. Other top Krieghoff engravers are #3. Goeser, 4. Reich, 4. Nonn (tie), and 5. Creative Arts.
Great video, and maybe I just need to watch it again but I the bit I didn't get was watching the barrels being straightened after soldering, but they didn't appear to be attached too the receiver. It's a very impressive process. It would be good to get some commentary about how this compares to Perazzi or the custom built Barretta.
The barrels are straightened individually before being joined. It wouldn’t be possible after. And I can’t really speak about perazzi or beretta while in Krieghoff. That will have to be the subject of a future video or podcast.
It was a wonderful video and looking forward for part 2. Can we know when part 2 will be posted? I hope part 2 cover the different gage sizes 12-20-28-36 and the price of each and where are the dealers available overall the world! It is good for me and for others to know. Keep good work up and hope these types of manufacturers don’t close.
Great to see the progress and precision of krieghoff, I can imagine you had to wait a long time to get an invitation to see this. Hats off to you and it’s brilliant for our viewing pleasure. I could make room for one but my high tech s way prettier 😂😂
In addition, this Krieghoff brand is of German tradition. and at least the honor of speaking in German, you English believe that you have seen and done everything, it's still incredible
Krieghoff was the most interesting to me technically, obvs the perazzi factory made my gun, so that's special in a different way. Beretta is impressive because of size and scope, as well as the extreme investment in automation. Browning in Liege is very different, more of a boutique for very very expensive hand made guns.
I knew some of the Mortenson family in Rockford. Mr. Mortenson was a gunsmith who made custom long guns. His legacy apparently died with him. Does anyone know how to contact his survivors?
Watched the every second of this, ( as I do all of your content) Given the passion you’ve expressed for your Perazzi High Tech, and the in depth tour of that process, it may be incumbent on you to define your choice between the two, the nuanced differences, why you switched from K to P and would you ever go back again? I’m interested because I’m considering a purchase myself…Thank you LP.
Ive covered this in other videos and on the podcast I believe. I have also said that Krieghoff is the only gun I would willingly go to from the Perazzi. The DT11 is a great gun, but it's not a Krieghoff.
Thank you for responding. I’m going to San Antonio Tx in week to see Nationals and hopefully to test shoot K,P and compare to my Blaser F3. I don’t see a link to your podcast, is that Patreon?
