That man is a one stop shop of knowledge. Hard to find someone who completely knows and has done every single aspect of the build. Equally impressive is the 5 axis machines that cut the receivers. The sequences of the cuts and bit selection is a feat in and if itself.
Back to Basics ! In Germany, Engineers have the same status as Doctors, I take my hat off to them. I love to see old fashion apprenticeships coming up through the ranks. Brilliant, well done Lloyd keep them coming.
Amazing craftsmanship!!! Mr. Miyagi doesn’t have shit on Krieghoff’s apprenticeship. “File on file off….” Wow! The absolute precision of work. Like the gun of the year and the blue diamond gun. Great show Lloyd!
wow !!!! seeing the finish on these custom guns has changed my mindset on Krieghoffs, just stunning and the "Blued Diamond" is mint and so modern looking. Ive just spent a lot of imaginary money in my head 🤣 As always Lloyd, fantastic Video 👍
This reminds me of making a copy of a 17th century skeleton clock when I was just 18 years old. So much of it was good old fashioned hand work, including the crown wheel. 43 years later I still have this clock. Maybe I should have trained as a gunsmith.😂 What a fantastic apprenticeship programme!
If you are not a skilled gunsmith, you can only guess how much effort it takes to make such a shotgun. The video is excellent and thanks to Krieghoff to be allowed to look into the hallowed halls, it is a very nice promotional video for all really interested shooters.
Lloyd, Part 2 is even better than part 1 ! I escecially liked the part of you and John Henry feeling the fit and feel of the hand fit on the barrel to receiver in the apprentice shop. Thanks again for presenting the tour.
Call the diamond pattern "Harlequin"! Great series on Krieghoff. They such attention to the engineering and mate it to beautiful aesthetics. True form and function.
Just have to say that was fantastic! It great to see there looking to the future with a training programme all in house. As for that dragon K80 that just the next level of shotgun and is the best K80 I’ve see. Lloyd is journey inside Krieghoff is just fantastic, Well done sir it incredible 👏 You got me thinking about a K80 even more know ! Just hope the wife not looking to closely and the bank account. 😂.
an absolute top quality and very informitive video. the guns have always enjoyed a reputation of top quality . I thank you for an enjoyable tour of this factory. you can see why the the guns are always realy top class in the world.
That engraving @ 43:35 is just incredible , cant wait to see that style hit the market. The elaborate scene engravings are amazing aswell but if feel like id be afraid to even breath on it. 😅
Not use the customer for any testing purposes! That’s a great mind-set. Wish SigSauer had that same idea. Would save them millions in class action lawsuit payouts!
A thought for your consideration! A tour through the Bywell Gun Room, The guns that are on the wall there, A tour of the facility at Bywell, for those of us that live on the other side of the world.
Looking at the different types of blueing needed for different barrel constructions, just shows how far Longthorne are ahead of other shotgun makers, with the way their barrels are made, from one piece of metal that need no joins.
Thank you for the tour. I do however wish TGS had done your cinematography and editing. This reminds me of Top Gear prior to Clarkson, Hammond and May. Very informative but lacks the “posh”….definitely “German”
Great guns ! However, my K80 had to be sent back for barrel poi regulation. It ended up needing a different barrel hanger and a barrel adjustment. Another club member had a poi problem with his Parcour . . . . hmmmm
You supply the gun Lloyd, and I will make sure I shoot it. I am left handed by the way, so make sure you bring the correct one along. See you there!@@lloydyp
If kreighoff looking a name for the gun you fell in love with the design with the K How about Galaxis lol German for Galaxy 🌌 worth a shot no pun intended 👍👍
I would had preferred seeing the gunsmith performing the final check of the K-80 vs the three host of the video... I would assume the gunsmith did not want his image on camera- which is understandable or it was a trade secret... Thank you for this video..
What aren’t you keen on? They are honoring the Native American people in a very beautiful and tasteful manner. Because some bad things happened to them we aren’t supposed to enjoy and share their heritage and traditions?
@@andrewpinheiro7202 ''bad things'' is an understatement,Personal Choice if wishing to embellish a Krieghoff with a scene out of ''Dances With Wolves'' just not for me.

That engraving is spectacular!!! Great job Lloyd 👍🏻🇨🇦
Thank you sir.
Oh my god, what beautiful craftsmanship. German engineering at it's best.👍
Thanks for watching.
Just WOW..... The engraving is such beautiful!!!!!!
Harlequin is the perfect name for that design - and if chosen I will have one as my prize!!!😂
Apologies, it now has a name, it's called the Eternal One.
Good grief, how underwhelming. Harlequin is what I would call it if it was my gun.
Exactly what I thought.

Agreed. Thanks for watching.
That apprenticeship is incredible. Makes my machinist apprenticeship look absolutely spartan in comparison. Really swaying me towards a K gun.
yeah they work super hard

I`m in LOVE with Krieghoff, Thank you so much for this review, wish you all the best.

Thank you Simon
Krieghoff Geo Tech engraving 👍
It’s geometric and technical. Either that or The Jester.
Im afraid it's called the eternal one.
AWESOME VIDEO 👍👍👍👍
Thank you Craig.
One day I hope to own one of those beauties. One day….
WOW that dragon engraving! WoW
I still prefer the other one
Wow. The human hand is capable of more precise fitting than the CNC machine. That blows my mind.
Truly awesome engineering
First thing I thought of when i saw that engraving (43:18) was Harlequin!

I like William Woollard. I’ll take that as a compliment.
Must be a dream for every hunter to own a Krieghoff.
Judging by some of the comments, not *quite* every hunter…
Great guns !

I have never heard of that problem I was a shotgun gunsmith for over 30 years before I retired stock fit yes on a off the rack gun
I only wish I could afford one of these. I think I just may put it in a show cabinet, and just look at it!
Nah, you want to shoot it.

Due to these factory videos, I begin to understand why these guns are expensive. I am tempted to say not expensive but a bargain.
My choice,definitely the Celtic!
Glad you enjoyed it

Awesome!
Thanks :)
I would like to put forward a name for the new K80 geometric action - "Nemesis"
Apologies, it now has a name, it's called the Eternal One.
It just has to be called the harlequin.

I so want that dragon one please 🙏
I love my krieghoff shotguns. I just wish they would use DT11 barrels. Lol.
Why?
Hello thank you.germeny is my love.
Harequeen or Harleking may be
I love that. we only work half day, the other half we need to empty the beer cases. I thought Germans didn’t have a sense of humour 😂
Oh they do, it’s just different.
