There's a typo in the title just FYI
I can't understand this policy of not hitting "Russians in their land". By their Constitution they already consider all those occupied areas as theirs.
Yeah the Biden admin's half assed policy is starting to piss me off. It's far better than the surrendering GOP guy, but seriously do better, Joe.
Western’s weapons are to assist them in side of Ukraine, if they’re using Western’s weapons to attack Russia then it’s considered an indirect attack from the West which expands the war.
@@whatevername8551its because the Republicans are so "scared" of Putin that they will pull even more support if they hit russia in russia....more likely thwt theyo are on the russian payroll vs them being scared of nuclear war....
It feels to me like the Biden admin's timidity and hope-for-the-best attitude is what has doomed the Ukraine war to become this war of attrition that is playing out right now. Initial sanctions were weak, military aid came in piece meal and with tons of restrictions, funds allocated were a fraction of what was actually needed, and there was no long term planning (I.E. it's taken almost two years of war before there's been an effort to provide Ukraine with a modern airforce and long range missile capabilities, and even now in very small numbers).
Russia in Mt understanding is a form of federal states where state of Ukraibe declared independance. Putin thought it was a joke until Ukraine reached out to nato for protection.
The situation is peculiar, it's like Texas declaring independant and asks neighbor for help.
It's many things but a straight conflict.
However I agree as nato buddies we should have landed there long ago

OUR NATO LEADERS ARE COWARDS
Ukraine does not have its own intelligence, its instructors, its equipment, its production facilities and the ability to economically support its state, all this is provided by NATO countries. Russia is conducting a special military operation until NATO officially enters Ukraine and until long-range military weapons and nuclear carriers are provided to Ukraine, as soon as you decide to strike deep into Russia with NATO weapons, Russia will consider this a direct entry of NATO into the conflict and the special military operation will end within three minutes and the war will begin and this will automatically activate Russia's nuclear doctrine and the Perimeter program will be activated. Familiarize yourself with this program and the consequences that NATO will bear after activating this program. Do not forget that Russia's hypersonic nuclear carriers will calmly penetrate the US air defense, flying through the south Pole and entering from Mexico. Russia is big enough for most Russians to survive a nuclear attack, but Western countries will not be so lucky. Is the Biden gang's Ukrainian Kiev junta money laundering worth your life?

By choosing a path of deescalation we now have Russians opening another front which has escalated the situation further
That's because NATO is run by a bunch of idiots, does the army not have any say ?
One way to reduce your vulnerability to artillery is to be such an insignificant target that you're not worth the 3 or 4 shells it would take to attack you. A platoon is a big enough target to be worth it, a section might not be. Perhaps this simply explains the reduction in operational unit size.
That is litterly the reason why Ukraine stopped going for mass attacks at robotyne and switch to smaller groups. The battlefield is too transparent to go for a major offensive. Looks like when Ukraine does it, it's smart, but when Russia does the same, it's done. It is desperation?

Near Volchansk, Russian Forces took control of the settlement of Staritisa. Russian Forces also took control of the entire northern part of Volchansk and entered the city center. Towards Liptsy, the control of Glyboke and Lukhatanskoye was confirmed, with continued advances towards Liptsy. Fighting now takes place firmly within Liptsy. So far, the total advance is approximately 300 square kilometres.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) transferred a seemingly significant number of brigades to the northern direction. But there is a nuance - almost all brigades are represented by 1 battalion. At the moment, only the 125th TrO brigade has exactly three battalions in this direction. Apparently, all the battalions that were being restored and had not yet had time to join the brigades at the front were abandoned.
Also, this whole vinaigrette of units is complemented by the State Border Protection Service and the National Guard. Separately, it is worth noting that the Main Intelligence Directorate also apparently sent all the available units with which they are trying to plug the holes.
In general, it is clear that the UAF is experiencing difficulties with reserves, but it cannot be said that they have been exhausted. Taking into account the confrontation near Ocheretino and Chasov Yarom, there are virtually no unused units left, or they are at the stage of formation.

During 'Nam US pilots had to literally wait until weapons were unloaded off of Soviet ships and brought to shore in order to attack and destroy those weapons. Always been a love/hate relationship.
Russia has to do the same in regards to NATO weapons sent to Ukraine. Can only attack them after they have entered Ukraine.
You are very confused. The weapons were delivered by RFA s not commie ships
That's cause they were actual US pilots attacking a technically uninvolved party in the Vietnam war. The better analogy to today would be that this is why Russia isn't daring to strike the western weapon shipments as soon as they cross the border into Ukraine.

I just wanted to say, demonetization forces you to keep quiet about the brutality of the war, but this is a really good thing. Looking at maps and reports is easy on our minds. I can share that I once watched another channel that goes into detail for three hours straight and had a nightmare about war that night. We do not necessarily need to see the details to be aware it's a brutal war.
Thanks a lot for continued updates so often!
Reporting on the casualties of war for money from views is just sickening to begin with anyways
Numbers are important, but organisational levels are critical. Analyst Mike Kofman said recently that Russia has displayed a considerable ability to replenish men and reconstitute formations, but owing to losses in field commanders and the officer corp - and low levels of training for replacement manpower - they appear unable to launch attacks beyond company or battalion level.
The place is a rugged nature reserve. I have no idea what they're doing.
Timestamp 10:30 Repeat of Vietnam. US soldiers were not allowed to attack VC units inside Laos and Cambodia (officially).
What's working for Russia is their Lancet drones. When I watched Kharkiv footage, I was surprised by the fact that Ukraine didn't seem to be smashing groups of Russian infantry in open fields with artillery. I assumed that Ukraine was short on shells and howitzers in the area.
While I think it's true that Ukraine has shortages of howitzers and shells, I read from some Ukrainian mil bloggers that Russians managed to knock out some Ukrainian 155mm Bohdana howitzers with lancet drones before they started storming Kharkiv. Russian 152mm howitzers aren't particularly accurate, and I think they're highly vulnerable to counter-battery fire. I believe that Russians learned this, and so they don't start offensives necessarily by pounding the area with their 152mm howitzers first. I am guessing that they first use recon drones and maybe some of these small squad groups as bait to find Ukrainian artillery firing positions. Then they try to knock out Ukrainian howitzers in an area with lancet drones, and then they storm infantry into the area while also using glide bombs and probably some 152mm artillery.
I think there was an assumption earlier in the war that using self-propelled howitzers would allow Ukraine to shoot and scoot, and the superior accuracy of western 155mm howitzers would allow Ukraine to knock our Russian artillery.
However, I'm not sure if this holds up if Russia has skilled lancet drone operators in an area and plenty of lancet drones. If a self-propelled howitzer tries to shoot and scoot, a lancet + recon drone can follow it and still hit it. I don't think it's a complete solution, but I think Ukraine needs to create dug-in howitzer firing positions, and they need to protect them with both camouflage as well as layers of metal fencing around the position to try to stop lancet drones. Maybe they need to create something like reinforced-concrete bunkers for artillery? I'm not sure, but Russian lancets are indeed very capable, and both Ukraine and NATO need to adjust tactics and training for artillery crews with the recognition that enemies are going to have drones that match the range of artillery and can destroy artillery unless its protected. NATO armies would have fixed-wing aircraft that could probably neutralize enemy artillery, but Ukraine doesn't have F16s yet, and they need to adapt how they use and protect artillery from longer-range kamikaze drones.
Your cup overfloweth
If they are fighting in team size elements, why are we seeing platoon and company size elements in the drone footage?

privus (from the latin) "individual", corporal (latin, again, italian "capo"): "head"; sergeant (from the latin "servir"): "in service, servant". Privates are in charge of exactly 1 person, corporals are in charge of 1 or more individuals. Sergeants are middle management (not exactly, but I hope you see the point.). Without that middle management you're just kind of sending pizza delivery drivers out delivering pizzas. I did train with the indian army once and they have the same top-down structure the Russians are using. Those pizza delivery drivers will deliver their damned pizzas exactly as instructed then they sit down and they aint making any pizzas, they aint fixing the delivery car, they are done.

The low number makes it not worth a drone or shell is the only benefit. With 0 training to reform at the line of contact is probably beyond them.
The problem since the beginning of this war has been the reluctance of the US to expand use of our support until the situation becomes critical. Then it takes months to get the equipment in place and Ukrainian soldiers trained in the use of the weapons. Or to get permission to use effectively what we supplied them with, like disrupting Russian troop assemblies just across the border with Russia. Meaning until a Russian soldier set foot in Ukraine he was safe from any threat by Ukraine, while Ukraine watched in frustration as tens of thousands of Russians assembled just a few miles from the border. Made worse by Mike Johnson being Trump's puppet and ignoring the will of a bipartisan House to provide more aid to Ukraine for six months. Proven by the overwhelming support by both parties when Johnson finally allowed them to vote.

Don't think it was supposed to a major assault, the troops that went in there first were to small. They just discovered a weakness in the Ukrainian defenses(pretty much non existent), and then went for it with larger units and had pretty good results. Seeing videos of these small elements, seems like they prefer forested areas. Probably a way to avoid FPV drones and artillery, one of the biggest issue both sides have now is the drone coverage. pretty much impossible to hide large elements of soldiers.
5 man teams is functional and is optimal for spread of operation control. The downside is the higher pressure; you need 5 strong individuals and not 1 of them is possible to be a disfunctional groupmember.
5 man teams are not a defensive effective group unless all 5 are well specialized individual members. The sleep rotation and the directional surveillance and control is poor unless their specific job is to observe. As a combat group 5 man teams do not carry alot of quality and quantative combat capabillity. Most usual 5 man teams is a sign of poor manpower for a regiment that are in lack of new recruitment.
5 man team is a high pressure for squadleader and requires a second squadleader which will be hard to negotiate and organise when you scatter a regiment on so many squads.
Communication among squads requires a level of agreement and understood predicement also which is more difficult which on a fewer members are required as well practiced experience.
