The "pros" didn't get where they are by following what other people do, or even by being "geniuses". They did it by following their own path and being creative. That's what art is about.
You should make a slowed down step by step example of that last trick, parralel master bus.

hello!, i really enjoy your videos, well editing but more important, a lot of knowledge. I have learned a lot from a friend of mine (multi-Grammy nominee), he taught me to use this philosophy: in the mix, everything adds up. That is, by making "small movements" you achieve big results. I'm a fan of using the Scheps Rear Bus technique, among a lot of things in the mix bus. Greetings.
and here I am, wanting to go into debt with 2k dollars on an ssl bus +... I think I'll try to do things in the box for a while. We'll see what happens 🤷🏻♂

Great video as always! I remember some time ago (and probably even now), that on the various music forums there was practically always talk of the CLA mixbus chain, everyone had their say about him, they invented many things and some were funny 😆. In short, it was an empirical and secret discourse like the enigmas of the Vatican. Until the story of his secret eq came out as the first "insert", i.e. a modified Pultec, where (if I'm not mistaken) he boosted the 70hz by 5 db, the 3000 hz by 3 db (and this was a scandal) by not using the attenuation on the two frequencies, using broad band at 10 and atten sel at 5..and then everything passed through the compressors you listed, according to the style of the song. Obviously from there, everyone wanted to try this trick. Effectively, however, it is a sort of top down mixing. I don't want to be wrong, but if you analyze the Waves CLA MixDown with Plugin Doctor, in the default settings, there should really be a bell at 3000Hz but NOT at 70Hz..but at 20Hz with a relative low pass at 48db per oct, and an attenuation on the mid-bass.. but maybe I'm telling you bullshit. Many greetings and I look forward to the next video always happy!
Thanks for the tips. I had a pretty loud and clear mix but the parallel processing, I havent been doing to the entire mix. I'll give that a go.

Please never put Waves S1 on your master. You can say good bye to punch on your drums and bass. It also shrinks the sweet spot and messes with phase way too much.

you don’t live and die by what you put on your mix bus. You live and die by how well it was tracked and how pure the tracks remain until they get to the mixbuss.

When you stop mixing, and focus essentially on the mix bus processing
Or you mix into mix bus processing, like a limiter, compressor, clipper, that can be another strategy

I couldn’t make it past five minutes of this video because of the insane amount of constant of upspeak. Please stop the constant upspeak. There are plenty of videos on how to stop upspeak. I’m sure you have some good content but nobody wants to hear statements spoken as questions trailing upward every three seconds. You must stop this bad habit. Good luck! 👍🏽
