a tip for 6:36 : press "Q" (proactor tool) and you once you've started moving it, it will automaticlly align with the imaginary ground

Your mouse wheel also needs to be a click button. If it isn't, you may need to upgrade your mouse. Other than that, my scroll wheel just works for the orbit. According to the SketchUp shortcuts, that's what the middle mouse wheel is supposed to do.

hi i would lik to know how to refold an unfolded object. i can not find anything anywhere on how to refold an unfolded object. i want to make a perferated pool water filter. but need a flat surface to make perferated holes once i an finished i want to refold it into a cylindrical shape so i can print it in my 3D printer. can anyone help on this issue

i made a car on sketchup and im trying to take out all of the triagles and lay it out on a flat surface to print them out, so that i can cut the pieces and make a real physical model. will the unfold tool work on this???

Hi, your video has helped me tremendously, but now with my particular shape when i unfold it all the way flat I am getting overlaps where i will in turn lose area distance overall.
Because of this distance lost due to overlaps when i do go to plot it out Im thinking I will not actually pull together the way it is supposed to.
what am i doing wrong
i can send you my skp if you would like...
any help would be GREATLY appreciated this is a big job for me
