I forgot to metion that the waypoint that you set the advanced waypoint actions on is the one where they activate, so normally you would set the TACAN and ICLS to WP 0.
you also forgot to set wind at the correct angle(down the runway) and the correct carrier speed according to that wind. 0 knots wind = 27 knots speed for the carrier, 10 knots wind = 17 knots wind sftc, 20 knots wind = 7 knots sftc. with wind above 22 knots headwind the carrier should always steam 5 knots. great video tho
Everytime I put static items on the carrier (aircraft, equipment, whatever), they don't even spawn, even if I link unit. It also doesn't put launch crew out to line you up like it used to.
@@DCSChopsticks Yeah. For some reason when they updated the Carrier module a few months back it just completely shut off my ability to make a realistic carrier environment.
If the carrier is not showing then check that you have the show unit button toggled at the bottom of the mission editor. Otherwise I don't know as things are constantly broken and fixed during various updates.
When i add my carrier in the sea, and i try to add an aircraft to it i zoom in and i dont get the aircraft carrier deck to place my aircraft like you show. Any ideas?

Thank you. I usually only place them out of the way of the spawn points. Then set whichever aircraft I want to fly to client, so that I can choose which to fly.
You can give ships commands as a game master but this usually causes them to do odd things. They always work beat with commands preset in the mission editor.
im thinking of getting into dcs with a i5 11400 and a rtx 3060ti and i will be flying the f14. Do you think that will be enough for me to play high settings with no fps stutter
You wont be able to have everything maxed, but should be able to have things high enough to look good. You will need at least 32gb ram if you plan to play multiplayer missions and dont forget to set up a page file.
3 Super carriers? there are 5 Nimitz class ones and 1 Kuznetsov.....? oh so that's what Link Unit is for.... always wondered but never been able to use
Originally it was the Roosevelt, Lincoln, and Washington. But we now have an updated Stennis and Truman. There is also the Kuznetsov for those flying Red.

I have not experienced that. And you have had the same thing happen after a repair?

I've been in a similar situation for other problems, I feel your frustration.
when I zoom in to the carrier, I cant see any carrier there like your example
There is an icon at the bottom of the screen that has a picture of a tank on it. That will toggle shiw/hide unit models.

The show/hide unit button used to be on the bottom row of buttons. It used to look like a tank. Toggling that should make things show up.

when i try to spawn it just takes me up into the air not on the carrier, why is that?
Make sure you set the aircraft to take off from either ramp or parking hot

If you cant see the models in the editor, there is a button to show them at the bottom. It looks like a tank.

@@DCSChopsticks late to the party but i play with everything maxed on an i5-12400f and a gtx 1660 super just fine
The multi-threading has helped unlock the cpu bottleneck for sure.
