This was me 4 blood transfusion 2 iron infusions cycles where horrible. I had mine on March 6th and I'm feeling much better. Still recovering in bed most of day. But do get up and walk. I do not regret my decision to have a hysterectomy. Only thing is I'm bored from time time because I'm use to going. Ladies listen to your bodies. ❤ glad your doing well
I hope everything works out for you! I feel sooooo much better now. I had three iron infusions after my surgery once I was able to move around. It’s made a huge difference in my energy. Get as much rest as possible. My incision area still feels weird and sensitive after all these weeks. It takes a long time to heal. Take care of yourself and don’t rush anything.
@Geaux Queen TV thank you🤗
@@mariafranklin5737 I'm here anytime if you have any questions or need support.
Yes, men do not understand what we go through as women.
I agree
Thank you for sharing your experience. I have been diagnosed with Adenomyosis and Ovarian Cysts two years ago. My symptoms are so debilitating and I have super heavy cycle two to three times a month. I am miserable and it's really affecting my quality of life. I have been doing research on this procedure, and think I am going to have it done. I want to get my life back. Thank you again for sharing your story and experience! Hope you are feeling much better!!
Thank you so much for watching. Having a hysterectomy literally saved my life. I am so sorry to hear what you are dealing with. I completely understand. I would really advise you to do all the research you can and talk to a doctor you are comfortable with. There is also the ablation option where they burn the lining of your uterus. See if that may be an option. My adenomyosis was too severe by the time I sought help, but look into everything! Don't delay! You deserve to have energy.
I am here anytime if you have any questions or need support!
I had an ablasian in June, then found out the cells were abnormal. My abdominal hysterectomy is now scheduled Sept 20th. Im so nervous, thanks for sharing your experience.
Hi, Sarah! I originally wanted an ablation but my case was too severe. Make sure you ask your doc as many questions as possible! Make sure you feel comfortable. This hysterectomy has changed my life. I know surgery is scary but it will really make a huge difference in your life. Please keep me posted and ask me any questions if you’d like!
Got total March 22nd 2023 still recovering had cancer of uterus luckly it was early stages!!! Yes the gas and constipation no joke!! Ladies please don't put it off please get it done it will save your life in the long run. Fortunately I had a excellent team of doctors and nurses they made me feel very comfortable and confident I wasn't scared amazingly. Pennsylvania hospital and Pearlman center Gynecology Oncology. Sis thank you for this video. You are helping many many women God bless you and continued recovery ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I agree! It is so important not to delay the procedure. I went through hell in 2022 bc I delayed it due to fear! I feel so much better now! Thank you for watching!
I’m getting my hysterectomy done august 22th at 9:30am I’m kindly nervous 😬 a little bit
That’s understandable! I was really nervous as well! I even delayed mine originally. Having the surgery really changed my quality of life for the better, though! I’ve never had this much energy! Just make sure you ask your doctor all the questions you want answered. Be prepared for the gas pains that hit your shoulders after the surgery--it’s pretty intense. Everything will be fine! 😊
I had my hysterectomy on 08/01/23. I had a laparoscopic and abdominal cut. List of things that helped me with gas. Gas X (slightly helps with gas), charcoal supplements, lots of water, light abdomen massage (don’t apply pressure to stomach), magnesium oxide by a company called Global (helps with bowel movements), hot peppermint tea.
Let me know if you have any questions
Continued prayers 🙏🏾 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Thank you so much 🙏🏾✨
I am waiting for my surgery appointment. My doctor sent the request a month ago. I appreciate you sharing your experience. I am nervous but know I need to do this.
I understand. Surgery can be a very frightening experience. Make sure you ask your doctor everything you need to know before the procedure. I will say that having a hysterectomy can be very life changing. It changed my life for the better. If you’re suffering, you deserve to feel better.
Grateful for you sharing your fears with having the surgery.. I have been putting off my hysterectomy for a minute because of fear.
You’re more than welcome! You can message me at anytime! Take it from me, I put off my surgery for too long and I really suffered because of it. Surgery is a tense experience but it’s the best solution at times. I wish you all the best and you can message me at anytime!
@@GeauxQueen yes, I’m scheduled for Feb 14.. in two days but I’m more comfortable with the decision this time.
@@Hooten123 make sure you have some probiotics. The gas pains are horrendous. It starts in your shoulders. Message me at anytime!!! Everything will be okay!
@@GeauxQueen Thank you ❤️
@@Hooten123mine is scheduled for the 29th. I’ve needed to do this for years but getting a doctor to understand why I wanted to have it done. Fibroids, iron deficiency, no energy, a uterus the size of a 4-5 month pregnancy and retroverted and possible endometriosis. And doctors were saying that I just didn’t want to give my mom grand babies.
Thanks for sharing. Were they able to save your ovary ?
Hi, I only had one ovary after a previous surgery. My doc left my remaining ovary to brown offset going into menopause.
Thanks beautiful, I appreciate your realistic approach, I'm about to have one xo
Thank you so much! You can message me anytime if you have any questions or need support!
What are some must haves you recommend for recovery ?
Also, make sure you do have a good support system after you make it home. Help with meals, etc. Take it as easy as possible. Also, if you can have a protective style before the surgery, that will help as well bc you will be very tired.
Thank you for this info
You're welcome! If you have any questions, comment anytime!
@@GeauxQueen I have my procedure 8/02 and I am having a vertical incision and I am so nervous...just want it done
@@p.zapata6892 I understand. I was SUPER nervous before my surgery but I was so relieved after it was done. Not having a cycle is a blessing. Just make sure to express your feelings to your doctor and get all the information you need in order to be comfortable. Hysterectomies really are life changing for the better.
I was due to have surgery today May 12th ,but one week prior i just start getting stomach issues, felt sad and stressed out and i became scared of going to surgery. I prayed and ask God to let them put off the surgery and low and behold i got a call Wednesday that there's a sickness on the ward so it will be postponed to May 26th. I was so happy😁. Hopefully, I'm better prepared physically and mentally for this new date. I'm also an anemic due to fibroids and heavy menstrual flow. Getting a total hysterectomy leaving ovaries. Hope you are recovering well. How are you now?
God works in mysterious ways! Make sure you are prepared for the gas pain in your shoulder immediately after the surgery. They don't prepare you for that. If your iron is really low, be vocal and talk to them about getting a transfusion before they discharge you. Also get some probiotics before the surgery as well to prevent any yeast infections. You may not have much of an appetite after the surgery. Get as much rest as possible! You may want to invest in a post surgery waist band as well. Please keep me posted.
@Geaux Queen TV indeed... God does work in mysterious ways. Thanks for your response. I will keep you posted .
@@simoneshallow9967 Everything is going to work out!
@@simoneshallow9967 oh and if I didn’t mention it previously, GET SOME PROBIOTICS to take once you get home! The will likely tell you to get some stool softeners which is ok, but take probiotics after you come home. It will prevent yeast infection and also prevent painful constipation.
@@GeauxQueen thank you so much. I will get some.
Hope you feel better❤
Did you have your ovaries removed?
I only had one ovary due to getting one removed years ago in an emergency surgery. My doctor left the remaining one during the hysterectomy to help curb going into full blown menopause.
