To everyone saying “I need to or have been thinking about getting a trim..” DO IT NOW!!! I had soooo many split ends and fairy knots (can’t prevent those much) and breakage from not trimming (grew out my heat damaged hair for two years and it felt like hay compared to my growth. It was mid back and I cut it to my collar bone (professionally done) and MY WHOLE TEXTURE IS DIFFERENT AND PRODUCT WORKS NOW!! I love it so much more and it’s sooo much healthier. Before I’d have three inches of hair at my scalp and 10 at the other (breakage!) trim your hair!

Yasmine Abdullah go for it girl, you only got one life to live, so live it up🍾🍾🤗🤗. Just do a protein treatment at least a week before (I like using Apogee 2 step protein treatment) and deep condition with a real good moisturizing deep conditioner after the coloring process.

I get terrible single strand knots, probably means i need to trim because my detangling takes dumb long for my shortish hair. Does anyone else get single strand knots and know how to combat them because it my main enemy in length retention
When I trimmed my hair it started shedding a lot
Mini twists are a great way, if wearing wash n go's alot make sure your ends are coated, coated, coated. Dust ends single strand knots mix with out hair and cause more knots.
@@PrincessYonna1 it's because the shedd hairs aren't geting trapped in your hair they fall freely.
I get them I work them out a little at a time. If that doesn't work I cut it off.

Tay May Tay May , hey i was told its considered either a wedge cut or long layered cut .... go on IG and put in “ themonacut” for some visual references. She is sooo dope at angle cuts for natural hair. I took some screen shot to show my hairstylist.
