You should join the Braille team. You make learning skateboarding so much easier and fun, just like them, if not better. I learned so much watching your videos and I really think a collaboration would be super cool~ ^_^
Thanks Bon Koo! My goal is to make skating easier and more fun in any way I can 😃 Really happy to hear my videos have been helpful. That means a lot! (with or without any collabs, just happy to help :D )
great ideas. I find that going slowly trying new things like this really helps my progress. Where before i'd go straight to big obstacles at skateparks (trying to look good in front of other skaters) and inevitably fail and get frustrated or get hurt
Thank you Sarah. This video just came in time in my level now. I didnt realize things can get divided into this small detail to progress. Really really really worth me trying. Thank you so much
This video really encapsulates how many little tricks and maneuvers you can do on something as simple as a bank. It's all about having fun and doing your thing. I built a little wedge ramp last week and never even thought to try a lot of these. Gonna give it a shot later today \m/
Cool vid with groovey music. Bank skating is super fun where you can do fundements while getting creative. The boneless off the bank tailspin were sick. I like that mindset of no hierarchy for tricks. Have fun skating everyone
I really benefited from this video, like something unlocked for me and now I'm having fun at parks again trying all this stuff and feeling good at the end of the session. Thank you so much for all that you do and for making these videos.
I skated a bit as a 13 year old girl, but was able to do only some small ollies. Last year i returned and learnt some tricks from this video (and a lot of other your videos). This year also learnt edge taps. Now watching to check what else i can learn. Also good idea is grinding on the edges of a bank, but it's not for all banks
Awesome video! I have a muscular skeletal disorder that means all my balance runs through my heels, I can't support weight effectively on the front half of my feet, and so despite trying for years could never ollie properly. So I always figured I couldn't do tricks on a skateboard and just enjoyed riding it everywhere instead, but virtually all the tricks you do in this video are things I do as part of riding around in various environments, so I guess I can do tricks on a skateboard. Funny how that little bit of perspective makes me feel better about my skating. Thanks!
That's awesome. Perspective is incredibly important! Everything is experienced based on our perspective. Glad to hear that you're shredding in your own way too💪 skateboarding isn't all about ollies even if it sometimes feels that way. There is so much more to it 🙌 keep shredding!
I was working on some of those Bank tricks today hadn't seen this video until now thanks for sharing they are a lot of fun I could do those all day and not get bored I felt so great afterwards
Perfect. I'm getting comfortable with riding and kickturns but I'm not dialled into being confident with these types of tricks. You've got some great ideas. Thankyou.
Definitely! After thirty years of trying I still can't ollie, but I can do all of these, I just learned to do them as part of riding a board around. I still hate coming down an incline fakie, I revert as soon as it's safe to do so lol. I just don't like the feeling of facing the wrong way, I learned to do it on a quarterpipe and halfpipe, but it's my least favourite feeling on a skateboard! I'd rather try freestyle primo tricks than roll fakie or switch for any distance. All good skills to learn though.
@@SarahParkMatott I anticipated it even but in the split second where the feet hit the shoes without going in I managed to think ’but why didn’t she… oooooh I see’ 😂. Appreciate the unpretentious low key vids. Too many hype beasts out there.
I dig that you're breaking down all these fun little ideas for people! Great fundamentals for novices! That tailspin you did though... I could see how if you sped that up a bit that would look pretty slick! Now I will goof around with that soon!
Thanks! It's fun to be able to share ideas like this. It's so easy to feel like we can't do anything as a beginners, when there really are creative ways to have so much fun. That tailspin feels really good when you do it. You're 💯 right. Put in some work to speed it up, and I bet you'll make it look really sick 💪
This is great inspiration. I'm just restarting after breaking my ankle dropping in this summer and I need some ideas about small goals I can have that are safer. 😁
thank you so much! Welcome to skateboarding. I'm glad you found the video digestible. I know I was always looking for that kind of stuff when I started too. So, happy to hear that!
Decent portion of begineroo banky tricks , gotta work on some for sure . Hows the weather in upstate NY ? Its getting colder out here in Poland but i think we have at least until december to skate outside
Luckily, I'm not in upstate right now. A bit farther south. So, the weather is still mild. Around 10C. Really happy for that haha Hope it's not too cold there
@@SarahParkMatott im just filled with endorphins , finished a count 0-60 of a Classic Park-Mattot carpet manual training and did a few carpet ollies . Tomorrow skatepark with my buddy, gonna try those bank tricks
You don't know everything as a beginner. If you don't have a local independent skate shop, then Cariumas are what will be pushed in the local Zumiez and places like that. Me personally I still like big chunky nineties skate shoes, like the Circa CM902s or the ultra tech Savier put out for a while, like the Savier Staba, but that's what I like. Sarah can experiment with various shoes and see what she likes. She's not pushing the shoes as an influencer, she's wearing them to skate. So I have no problem with it.
Watched this video, got inspired, had a good session, came back home feeling great, and wrote this.
Yes 💪💪 Stoked to hear that!
stalling the sides of banks is super fun too. like a side ways rock and roll on the edge

Exactly! Just have fun doing the tricks that interest you 💪 Glad you liked the video :D
0:50 "Everything is hard"
That's an understatement. But it's what makes skating so rewarding. Thanks for the great list, the tricks are near my level.
the biggest understatement 💯 haha Glad you liked the list!

I would say not to give up, I saw a video of a guy with only one leg and he would pop using a stick.
About to hit 51 & starting to skate, it's great to have something that my mind and abilities can 'digest' as I'm leaning the basics.

Great to hear! These are awesome to start tackling while getting comfortable with banks💪
Great collection, I will try them out😊 especially when you get frustrated with practicing the ollie all the time
yes! great for ollie breaks :D

Can't wait to go and try some of these as soon as it stops raining !
rain rain, go away! 🎶 🙏
The tail spin looks fun, I am gonna try it. Thanks for the inspiration :)
It is 😃 Hope you have fun!
The weather stunk where I live this weekend. I ended up jumping the curb in my yard and practicing Ollie’s.
curbs can be some of the most fun 😃 hope the weather gets better though
Haha, that jump into the shoes edit 😂. Solid amount of essentials in there.
was seriously stoke for that detail 😂 glad you noticed it! haha

I think improving kick turn and manual help a lot in improving my ollie.. maybe because it improve balance
for sure! Skate tricks are all connected :D
