I can't seem to change my emission or scatter settings. They're greyed out, what could I do to fix this? Amazing tutorial btw, can't wait to try it out 😄
You can`t mix volume mat with standard material just for vdb. But you can transform vdb to surface, and after that you can use volume shader for vdb and standard material for transformed object.
Im trying to mix different vdb files together. And the problem is the intersecting parts. For instance, I import 2 vdb, I turn 1 of them into fog. So the intersecting between them will show the sharp edge corner of the volume cotainer. Is there anyway to get rid of that. Im trying to create a Nebula using VDB and its killing me tho.
@@canoksas2979 inside volume builder / fog mode - u can do boolean operations. So if u will have inside volume builder also as example box (or any other object) u can subtract, multiply or divide between these 2 objects.
You're doing fantastic tutorials at a very high level of quality. Thank you very much for that. So far I have learned a lot from you.
Thank you very much for your kind words , I really appreciate it!

You have to choose/name proper vdb channels. How to assign volume channels and how it works we explained in our fume fx tutorials.
Verry cool video!
Happy to hear that you like it. Thanks for nice comment!
LFO design your tutorials are verry awesome keep it up bro
Thanks man!
U r welcome!
Thank you! Is it possible to add a glass texture also to vdb? To mix volume texture with a standard shader?

Literally just did it yesterday. Volume mesher.
thanks ! is it possible to animate ?
You are welcome. Yes you can animate volumes as well.

Try to use volume builder / fog type. Inside volume builder you can blend 2 different vdbs and also you can use smooth filter.
is it possible to texture like this in Octane?
I have minimum experience with Octane, but I think that octane medium nodes are able to colorize volumes
Hello! Do you maybe know if it is possible to cut a vdb in half?
Yes, you can use vdb files inside volume builder. So you are able to use all available VB modes/operations for vdb files as well.
LFO design thanks for responding!! but i dont understand how i can separate one vdb object in to two vbd objects like that :(

LFO design ill try it thanks!
