Try removing the stamp head and placing it stamp surface down on a paper towel for several hours or overnight. Often you'll find it leaves an oily residue from within the stamp head.
I was just in a Dollar Tree in the mail section and didn't see any plates. Now I'm going to have husband drive me to the 3 in my area. He loves found with me and my crazy shopping I gotta have it nonsense. If you try to buy on line you have to buy 30. 😳 I'm a big Maniology fan and have the Pardon My French plate and getting better at doing French Nails.
I’ve seen others make a video using these and the stamp has worked but I think they used regular nail polish? I really hope it works I bought so many of these from DT I haven’t tried them yet!
Yes, regular nail polishes can work fine. If it is practically opaque at 1 coat, it will work for stamping. Stamping polishes are made specifically to be very opaque, but you can try experimenting with your existing collection before investing in them, especially if you're new to stamping.
@@MichelleSmithCreations What a awful waste of money. Sorry honey. I washed mine. Than taped about 3-4 times it worked. I don’t think anything works as good as Maniology though not even using different polish. Blessings
This was interesting. I used to go and have my nails done every 10 days sometimes two weeks. Haven’t done that for over ten yrs. My own nails are terrible and i love it when I see women have all these beautiful nails. I tried some of the fake ones, but can never find any that fit my nail beds. They’re either too big or too small. Any suggestions? I hope you haven’t experienced any damage to your home in all these storms were having.
I do like the KISS brand for artificial nails. They give you a large number of sizes in each box to find the right fit. So far so good, no additional damage yet from the storms.
My stamper didnt work too. I thought my technique was the problem lol. Thanks for this!
You are so welcome!
I just bought one and primed it Still didn't work. Best to use it for making french tips.
I just picked up a Sassy Chic stamping plate from the dollar tree and immediately started looking for reviews. Thank you for this!
You are so welcome!
I just got one and i thought it was me … the reason it wasn’t picking up the stamp. Thanks for thisn
Same
This was a good review and tutorial video. Very helpful tips and tricks. The nails turned out pretty. Thanks for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
If you use acrylic paint rather than nail polish the Dollar tree stamp tool will transfer the design. I did some trial and error to figure that out
Thank you I will try that
Ty because I was ready to toss it in the trash after trying with nail polish.
Yes! I watched several videos and did 2 things that worked. 1. Wiped the stamper with acetone 2. Used a thinner nail polish. Worked perfectly 🥰
You can use a lint roller to remove polish from stamper head.
Whoa! Dollar tree has stamping plates? I've got to try them simply out of curiosity. It's so fun to see that stamping plates are in American stores ❤
Yes they do
Wow! This is awesome!
Glad you think so!

Oh I am going to have to make a trip to dollar tree.. 😊
You should!
You should use the smudge free for first coat, and any other top coat for your second coat.
Scratch/score the nail stamper with a nail file or buffer to get rid of the initial shine of the stamp before it works.
I will try that
Did you try tape on the stamper that would not work? I have a few problems doing it but tape over it a few times it worked .
Yes, I tried several of the stampers and I could not get any of them to pick up. I purchased four of them and none worked, what a bummer

@@deborahworth5291 I do like the stamping plates. It may just be me I am still learning.
Thxs i wished i knew ab the stamp thing before i bought it. But can i find it @walmart or wat store?
I got my stamper from maniology.com
The stamper won't pick up the polish . How can I get it to work
As I stated in the review, the stampers that you get from Dollar Tree do not work
With most stampers I have to rough them up with a file

….. I couldn’t figure out why mine wasn’t working. Turns out I left the blue layer on.. 😭😭
Can this be used on natural nails?
Yes, of course it can
Thanks for the info... It's hard to believe these were at Dollar Tree
Right?!
My stamp part fell apart before I could use it
Can you link your stamper? I got the one from Dollar Tree, it doesn't work very well.
You can find the stamper at maniology.com
