Superman 2 ( Superman II) fan edit: Zod's Voice Pitch Correction test.

- As a test to better match the Theatrical version I have pitched corrected Zod's voice down a semi-tone and added in the ambient hum of the fortress that is missing in The Donner Cut.
The lowered pitch sounds more normal than the actual audio
It does, and the fortress sounds lifeless without the hum they added to the theatrical scenes.
It's always a good day when Booshman uploads!
Cheers man, I wish it was more frequent but some of the stuff I'm trying to achieve is a slog. I jump between shots to stop from getting burned out on one thing, but that means I have several highly involved clips all on the slate at once. The levitating gun shot with the cops/ Lois jumping from the daily planet window/ Replacing the newspaper headline "Lex Luthor Scheme Bombs" to "Terrorist's Scheme Bombs" referencing the Paris scene/ Superman throwing the rocket into space and releasing the villains/ Replacing finger beams with laser vision in the fortress battle. Various other bits and pieces.
Wow this and all your other work is really amazing! I feel like the Richard Donner cut of Superman II didn’t really do a great job of being a true sequel to Superman: The Movie. John William’s score was copied & pasted all throughout the movie. The sound effects were very cheap and didn’t work well with a movie that was made in the late 70s. And the reversing time trick at the end just felt as if the whole movie didn’t happen. Had the producers Pierre Spangler and Alexander & IIya Salkind not given Donner such a hard time I think he could have given us possibly one of the greatest sequels ever made. Your way of combining both movies to create the best outcome is jaw dropping. Keep up the great work; can’t wait to see the full thing!
Thanks man, it's appreciated. The current outline is a choose your own adventure sort of deal which mean that whoever is watching can create their own ideal version of the movie. It also means there is that much more to edit. I'll get there though. imgur.com/a0ChJ6V
The graph looks cool, except I can’t see it in better quality
@@gavintheg.o.a.t2001 It'll have to do I'm afraid. I lost the original high res version in a hard drive crash. Been editing a lower res copy since then. Definitely readable though which is the main thing.
The low pitch sounds more close to the theatrical voice dub
Cheers Devon, exactly what I was after.
2 new edit vids in the same week? I am flushed with excitement to see you're working on this again. Thanks Boosh. Any chance you can throw in Superman's theatrical line of "I expect better manners from my guests Zod" when we Supes pop out of the chamber? We don't see Reeve's face but you'd have to remove the DC line of "I'm here Zod", and skip straight to "Let miss Lane go...etc.".
Well one video was from the RIC that had been on Vimeo for ages and I hadn't brought it over. This vid is likely not even going to be used, not in its entirety anyway, more of a proof of concept that Donner Zod footage can be pitched down and the hum added to the fortress. Some of this might be in but I'll be doing the laser finger scene with the beams changed to heat vision thing again.
Excellent work!
Cheers Robert.
Directed by Richard Donner
Would be great if you could fix Christopher's voice from Richard Donner's Cut
This does wonders in terms of making the Donner Cut seem like a completed film! Is there anything that can be done to Ursa's voice to make her sound consistent, other than dubbing her completely? If only Sarah's on set performance had been used for the DC...
Yeah it's a different situation with Sarah, not much can be done I think. Sometimes it's her sometimes not, not really any way to have one performance used exclusively.
Where can I view this?
