Nicely demonstrated and explained!
I’ve got the very same job to do for my attached outhouse with doors each end, I bought my door same as you off marketplace & for the same price too, it looks brand new 🤷♂️
Now winter is upon us I need to get it done as one of the wooden doors has rotted out..
I had it in my head to do the job as I did with a replacement wooden door in the middle of the opening..
But seeing this video it makes more sense to do it your way & easier too.
Of course I went & bought the wrong securing screws, mine have rawl plugs as I didn’t know about masonry screws ..
Get those tomorrow now along with some wedges.
Great video & thanks 👍
Good luck yes nice and easy to do if you have any problems just drop me a message on here.
Cheers.
Like your saw bench. Good job though.
Good job well done.
Cheers
Shame not to see the plastic being fitted to the top and sides.
Pity you couldn’t have got a door the correct size. It would have been easier
Yes I tried for ages to find one.
A brand new one was over £3000 which is more than I paid for the full kitchen
Harrods ???£1000 very tops
Thanks!
Where did you buy the door from?
Hi I bought it off Facebook marketplace it was second hand but in really good condition.
Thanks for watching
Could you possibly do an update video of the finished install 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yes I will if you would like to see no problem
@@primalrenovations7427 thanks dude 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi did u make the follow up vid?
Yes just haven't put it together yet hopefully have it done soon
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
How much did you charge for that job ?
I didn't charge anything I did it to my own house that I'm renovating
@@primalrenovations7427ok I was wondering how much it will cost . Thanks anyways
Is this ur own gaff ur working on mate?
Yes
Good enough job you should have screwed up hinge side first then line up frame
Something i only noticed yesterday buying 2nd hand door for office at work, no drip shelf at the bottom. I notice this door as ali strip.
Come to think the two doors i fitted on my previous home had no drip shelf. Just checked some old photos, they haven't. Never noticed before.
Not need due to porch.
Yes if it's outside I would check for a sil.
You couldn't have made it symmetric?
It needed to be there so the internal shed door would open correctly
Surely being level isn't relevant, I'd go for being square as most important.... but then what do I know as a City & Guilds bronze medalist with 50 years worth under my belt....
Oh look, now I've watched more I prove my point, you had to crow bar more spacers in to get it to latch.
This is not the way to fit a door.
I can't watch it to the end, it hurts to see a cowboy at work.
Anyone planning on doing it themselves then please go and watch a pro do it, there are plenty of good videos on here.
Why would you watch if you have 50 years experience.
How about a bit of feedback instead of the abuse and negative comments towards a video.
It is a second hand door which is harder to fit than a new one which would be measured to fit the opening some people like myself can't afford to get the (professionals) in and have to make do with what we have.
No wonder you are only a bronze medalist with that attitude.
Only hire Silver or Gold medalists folks, the real professionals.
