Well the Lego minifigure of him in the second lego marvel collectable minifigure series actually does have white eyes so maybe it's a sign that he might.
On the topic of characters like Deadpool and Spider-Man having white eyes, while I do think it’s good for them, it’s not for Batman. He’s not particularly expressive like the two cited examples. The only thing white eyes would be good for is fear and comic accuracy.
I hope James Gunn does give him the white eyes, because if Marvel can do it with Spiderman and DeadPool then im pretty sure he can do it with Batman. Plus it would make his Batman stand out from the other ones in live action. Plus all yall comic book fans love to be begging for comic accuracy all the time so here u go

i agree, you're robbing a store or something and when you're running out, on top of a building you see a silhouette with white eyes. THAT'S fear. he should have white eyes
I honestly really want Batman to have white eyes in live action. Don't forget, Batman acts like a supernatural entity of the night. And he kinda is because of how inhuman is feats are. After seeing Robert Pattinson's Batman have high tech eye contacts, it could work. Or like you said, visors in the suit. Also, that clip you showed in the end, *PERFECT!!!!!* Where did you find it???
I’m sorry I’m a big big Batman fan and I love the white eyes but only for cartoons and animated stuff but live action it would look kind of goofy ngl check out Arkham Batman he didn’t have white eyes and hes terrifying
@@nothing4753yeah but he isn't scary enough batman acts as a super natural entity it doesn't matter if Arkham was scary he could be more scary with them and they do not look goofy I don't know what your on but they look far more scary and cool with white eyes

Completely agree about the white eyes (hope they do it) but I feel the bigger question is should the bat suit be black/black and grey or blue and grey (Personally I would love an attempt at blue and grey again like we haven’t scene that since West)
They made it work in Deadpool, and they found a plausible explanation for mcu spidey. Gunn is probably the best at leaning into the comicbook gimmicks while making it look cool and believable in live action.
I agree I think maybe they should slide down under the mask like goggles, maybe for night sequences like night vision, and terrifying for hunting down criminals and detective mode, looking like the bvs final battle eyes, and then in more emotional and expressive sequences goggles should be up, and eyes revealed like normal
Don’t stop there, give him a grey suit, blue cape and cowl along with the yellow oval. If Batman is going to occupy two different continuities at the same time on film, they should be radically different.
I think a lot of people forget that Christian Bale did have white eyes with detective mode in TDK. I think it looked pretty cool, but it worked best in detective mode rather than constantly white. As for the emotion, Affleck showed plenty in his armored suit which had lit up white eyes. You knew exactly how he felt because of his body language, the way he moved his mouth, and how he spoke. If an actor can’t convey their emotions with a mask on, it’s not a mask problem, it’s an acting problem.
If you watched very carefully in the Christian Bale Batman movie, the part where he headbutts the guy after pulling him out of the vehicle, the two white objects were lenses the popped out of the mask. Bale technically had the comic accurate Batsuit, until the headbutt.
It’d be cool to have like you said when he’s scanning things, but it would also be cool to have it when he’s in security cameras so villains can’t identify him from his eyes
It works with deadpool and spiderman because their masks cover their whole face. Batman's leaves out his mouth area so when he has white eyes he just looks like the undertaker
The white eyes look intimidating af and intimidation is a big part of Batman’s whole gig, he strikes fear into the hearts of criminals and white that glow from a distance or in the dark would definitely help do that. If saw tall dark figure with glowing white eyes down a dark alley I’d totally piss myself.
Yep. I agree with you cause imagine walk in the night of gotham and you see a huge figure with glowing white eyes either watching you or walking towards you. But it would be awesome as night and/or thermal vision to watch criminals to see where they go and it scares the hell outta them
Deadpool and spidey are both sort of comical characters...they express themselves with their body therefore their facial expressions dont matter. Batman is very calm collected and calculated. His body language is suddle but his face is what tells us about his feelings. Giving him white eyes would be a bad idea.
that last clip genuinely scared me. that's the thing about the white eyes, it makes batman a demon of the night which if done right would make him the scariest live action batman
I think having a beer detective/night vision feature would be a good compromise. That way you could have some scenes where you see his actual eyes, and then others wear you see a menacing white set of eyes staring at the criminals from the shadows. I’m definitely in favor of the white eyes, but since I can understand why someone would be against it, I think, having it simply be a night vision detail would be a good compromise .
I think Robert Pattinson's Batman should stick to real eyes, and have Gunn'a new Batman have a more comic booky look with white eyes. That way both fans win.
Spider-Man style eyes that move would look great on Batman in live action. We all remember how iconic the batman animated series opening is when he squints his eyes.
Ok I will say the photos here look great I think it could work if it was kept in perspective when writing the story he has to be super emotive if his eyes are covered
I remember in Arkham night whenever you would talk to Oracle or some thing the light of Batman‘s eyes was very very white but you could still see his pupils and stuff. I feel like that is the most successful looking interpretation if they want to do it in the movies, they can try, but it probably won’t look good
If they pull it off just like Deadpool or Spider man than yes they should do it but if they do a crappy version no It'll look nice and would be cool in the scenes in the dark just to see white eyes glow
I think he should Or maybe do both like how they do in TMNT Like he would have regular eyes in some scenes but in more serious or scary scenes would have the white eyes
Maybe if Batman had white eyes that glow slightly, shorta like having a HUD in his bat mask as I remember DC online and seeing Batman up close with those eyes was cool.
Okay nah i knew batman is scary with his villains (mostly the small fry guards) but that shit was a jumpscare at the end some five nights at freddys type shit fr
I think he should as it makes him look more menacing, and if integrated as part of the mask, it would mean his eyes are protected and it has tech integrated, meaning nightvision, a heads up display, etc. Plus as you said, they could go white only when activated, when in battle mode, just to make a compromise.
I think making them white with detective vision that would give a slight glow could be a cool idea or have the white eyes be detective vision or something akin to this idea.
I agree I think he should have white retractable lenses so that he can have the white eyes in some shots then retract them for fight scenes so he can see better
I think they could give him white eyes, and say that he wears white contacts that film everything like in The Batman. They could also say that he does this to strike fear or whatever
I always assumed that the white eyes were apart of his cowl, and they were used for things such as detective mode and able to see clearly through the night like a bat.
It would help to make him look more like a terrifying creature of the night. An urban legend or even cryptid. Though I can see him scaring kids shitless more than the criminals with it, so maybe keep it retractable or something.
The white eyes making him less emotional is the point, hes supposed to be scary and monster like as Batman, so him being emotionless sells it more. Plus, for more emotional moments, he can have the mask off and be Bruce Wayne. Something similar to The Flashpoint movie where he reads the note from his father Thomas, he takes off the cowl before reading it, because as Batman he's emotionless, but as Bruce Wayne, he lets the emotions flow
Maybe you can have the best of both worlds? Cause with detective mode its obivous that Bruce is wearing eye contacts, so it wouldnt be too hard for his pupils to be a grey to near white? That way he can still express emotions while also giving him something close to those pure white eyes.
Yes white eyes is a must @next Batman (maybe) “the Batman” Pattinson can have a suit upgrade 😊they already did the video capture/surveillance eye contacts; why not white eyes
Speaking of white eyes, I hope Wolverine has a mask in Deadpool 3 with The White Eyes just like Deadpool🔥👀
I think it was actually confirmed that he will. We just haven't seen it.

As for the emotion, Affleck showed plenty in his armored suit which had lit up white eyes. You knew exactly how he felt because of his body language, the way he moved his mouth, and how he spoke. If you watched very carefully in the Christian Bale Batman movie, the part where he headbutts the guy after pulling him out of the vehicle, the two white objects were lenses the popped out of the mask. Bale technically had the comic accurate Batsuit, until the headbutt.
I like the idea of it being a practical feature of the suit since his element is lurking in shadows.
You also have to remember that unlike Spider-Man and Deadpool Batman has a mouth that is open so the eyes aren’t quite as necessary
Comparing deadpool and Spidemans white eyes ain’t fair for Batman.
It’d be cool to have like you said when he’s scanning things, but it would also be cool to have it when he’s in security cameras so villains can’t identify him from his eyes
Both the blue cowl and the white eyes, would make the suit a masterpiece and make it stand out from the other live action interpretations!
I really hope so. The lack of white eyes was a big reason on why I didn’t like a lot of the live action Batman movies as a kid.
It works with deadpool and spiderman because their masks cover their whole face. Batman's leaves out his mouth area so when he has white eyes he just looks like the undertaker
The detective mode is actually a great idea. So he can have the eyes half of the time. Kinda like the 2012 TMNT show.
YEAH the 2012 TMNT thing wears what I was thinking aswell
But the tmnt had white eyes when they were doing something badass, that I can get behind. I don’t want it limited to just detective scenes.
I meant that he can have it when he needs it. For detective mode and for fight scenes
I fell like it’s time, especially when Super hero suits from the comics are being brought into the movies more. Feel like it could be a cool change
