You know what I notice most about Logic.
His intelligence.
The way he explains he thoughts and emotions is crisp, and crystal clear.
It's obvious that this a reason why most of black people don't accept him as black. He's articulate and sharp, things that are considered white.
So I guess white people from the bayou aren't really white? Most white people from Boston or new York aren't really white?
That's some braindead racist bullshit you're spreading there, James.
@@evananderson1455 I'm not saying it's an innate quality of any race. I'm saying that's the toxic side of rap culture and consequently black culture. Carrying yourself intelligently isn't seen as cool.
@@evananderson1455You cry racism yet post derogatory terms, aahhh the life of being a reactionary SJW must be a struggle especially on the internet.
@@wc9681 Enjoy your breakfast ;)
God bless his heart, a man of strong character.
He's always so cute about Shredder in these clips

Logic: 12 minutes describing his extremely rough and tragic upbringing

Thank you! That shit pisses me off so, small minded people focusing on stupid shit like speech patterns and ticks while completely missing the point.
@@stephenbraque125 Those have to be mainly kids I hope. Good thing theres still ppl like us here.
Firshy henderson “u logic fan” If you’re not a logic fan, why are you here? I think people like you are more annoying, going out of your way to come bother people for no reasonable purpose.
@uganda michael ur name is uganda michael, i dont need to insult u ZULUL
Logic’s talked about his upbringing in detail on pretty much every project he’s put out. I’ve probably heard him talk about how they used to sell crack in his house twenty different ways. It’s not exactly like it’s something difficult for him to talk about.
This guy is one tough ass dude I had no idea he went through all this. And he still makes positive music with a smile. That’s some strong shit
Logic deserves a big ol hug
A biracial hug
@@AtomicTheSniper Yes of course that's what I meant
@@AtomicTheSniper wtf is a biracial hug?? lmfao

Logic is such an interesting dude, with his upbringing and stuff. Surprised he's come out so well-rounded
Everyone: WOw loGic iS sO maTuRe

Logic needs to write a memoir. I would 100% read it
Maddison Williamson he does have a book coming thon
IHateVCRS Gaming that’s great!
@@ihatevcrsgaming9836 Not a memoir.
it would be called Gnarly
I would do the same thing Williamson!!
Anyone else not able to unsee Micheal Jackson in that manikin behind logic..
Micheal Jackson in the back manikin. Banikan. Feeling kinda black again. Digging through the trash again. Finding all these napkins.
ouUsCH Mannequin
I have MAD respect for Logic now.
Just going to write it as I read it
Im bi-gnarly
Lol
Lmao
That's rad
Was he purposely trying to say gnarly as many times as possible?
nah its just something he likes sayin.
Such an old term lol
It’s Sid older guy
CorruptVisionz you mean logic is an older guy? Lol nuh uh
Google Translate isn't even able to tell me what it means in german...
Literally in tears. Can relate on so many levels to a challenging upbringing and the effects it has on your mental and physical health.
How amazing is it that he became the person he is through all that adversity? You can see that he wears his soul on his sleeve. People need these kind of human beings to role model. Phenomenal rapper and lyricist that uses his platform to elevate consciousness humbly. Respect ✊
Yup.
Ethan had a heart attack when Logic said the N word.
Really fucked up how hard the internet bullied this man after all he's been through. Now he's retiring after a crafting a timeless masterpiece and sticking it to his haters. He's gonna be a great dad, learning from his parents' mistakes. Wasn't always a fan. But after his last record, and more importantly, learning his story; i can say that i have a shit ton of respect for Logic. Happy retirement man, you earned it.
Logic is so sincere and real and I can imagine how easy it would be talking to him. 👌
just so you know he says gnarly 27 times in this podcast
aight cool to know thanks 👍

amazing how he turned out despite being raised in that environment
I found a new respect for logic, I always liked the dude and his music but hearing about his life resonates w me bc I'm coming put of a bad childhood
He's also REALLY gnarly.
It was so...GNARLY
Logic has helped me through so many hard times and I just wanna thank him that. His music has helped me through alot.
When I read a comment about Logic being biracial, I wish it was replaced by a comment that could make me laugh, think, or be creative.
Jakob Vogel cause some people have a degenerative mind they don’t know how to behave and be kind to others plus they see it as corny
LeadFaun not funny mate
Jakob fogel, just like what logic help us to do right
if you want to laugh think or be creative than you shouldn't read youtube comments
Jakob Vogel Half of his songs talk about him being biracial so I’m not sure why you’d be surprised or offended by reading a comment about it.
I never knew who Logic was till I saw him on Hot Ones and I just assumed he was just some white rapper. I went and checked out his music and he’s talking about being black and being white and being proud of both.
Logic is the most down to earth person
W6rthy he is pretty gnarly right
I loved him coming on. He did have a hard time, and expect him to tell alot about it because if you dont it hurts to keep that shit inside. Thank you guys for listening to his story. Never be afraid to speak out
The comments on this are kinda shitty. This dude's telling us his life story, lots of emotions in that. Who cares if he said a word a lot?
This guy is wise beyond his years. With what he was raised around and he still came out a good person? Respect.

been listening to logic for around 5 years and the first thing i said myself when i first started listening to him was... this guy is gonna make it and i kept saying this to myself and showing all my friends and family his music and thinking... if he doesn't make it then earthlings have missed out BIGtime.. Bless you Robert Bryson.
This guy is my idol! I'm sad and happy at the same time that he is retiring, been listening to his songs for a decade, growing up with his music Such a cool and intelligent dude! I wish him the best!
nobody:
Logic: yeah it definitely was gnarly
It's insane how me and logic have way more in common I'd never expect.
1. Mom does crack since I was a kid
2. Father uses identity for selfish reasons
3. Ditched both parents for their wrongdoing
4. Growing up around the most negative influential people in living area.
5. Rap about reality and underrated

I like the fact that he says "gnarly" all the time. He's clearly not being self-conscious which makes this interview far more genuine and interesting. Super cool, interesting dude. Glad to see him doing so well.
I’m not sure why people hate logic so much. If J Cole made Everybody and spoke on being biracial and his issues, people would call it “progressive” and it would win awards. Not sure why people have to hate him for being biracial, but that’s pretty damn racist. No matter how you look at it. “I don’t hate him because he’s biracial, I hate him because he talks about it so much” in his ENTIRE decade long discography has ONE album that focuses on his race and the state of the world right now. Logic is a dope rapper. He just doesn’t fit the stereotypical rapper look. And people hate that. He has a personality and is himself. Yet everyone hates on him. Get a life and hate on R Kelly or Sam Pepper, or someone that’s actually fucked up.
Oh i didnt realise people hated on him. I thought he was well respected in the community.
shirley rae To Old Heads and Lyricists, absolutely. Logic is an extremely nerdy guy who came from an extremely rough upbringing and for some people that doesn’t mesh. They let his personality affect how they view his music, even if they won’t admit it.
That’s pretty gnarly
oFesp cause biracial people have to worry a lot of identity process and when your mixed and speak of these issues you get backlash from racist pricks telling you should spiff that kind of mess out the window
Its more like he brings up his skin color alot and its basically a meme at this point
logic said *gnarly* 12 times in the vid. If I’m correct that’s pretty gnarly.

Logic: GnArLy
I would love to see a movie about his childhood
Tell me why this man painted a picture of my mom too 100% there are mothers like that out there R.I.P Yvette Taylor. A tortured soul
Before I watched this I had only liked Logic for his music, but after I have a massive amount of respect for him for all the shit he went through and who he is now
All love to you Logic. This would break most people, but you made it through.
You know he's a skater when he says "gnarly" every other sentence
Lol, no not at all. You watch too many movies. Skaters don't really say 'gnarly' what so ever. It's more of a stereotype that surfers say it, but notice I use the word stereotype, it's an exaggeration of what a surfer would say
I grew up in the same area as Logic, and I know his dad. His dad would always try and get me to listen to his sons music, but I never thought much of it. Now he is huge and it is crazy to me! Lol
I can see the Much Dank edits with Logic saying gnarly so much times.
Logic, you are a great man! You are one of my favorite artists of all time.
I’m crying. Wish I could give him a hug
He's very open, that's GNARLY
So much respect!
Relate so much to the fear of opening up! Never angry at my alcoholic mother or hold grudges - but i just hate opening up and it hurts
I sat here listening to this man talk, thinking to myself "man, this guy has got to be an air sign". Turns out he is. Makes sense. He is so real to me, it's like he's figured out his pain and worked through the reasons of his trials in this lifetime. To me, that's rad. It's a genius marketing move to be real, which is so crazy, because you'd think that's a simple thing. It's not though, alot of people go their entire lives without questioning themselves or looking at the truth buried deep within, let alone being vulnerable to the world. I wish I had his courage because if I did, nothing could stop me.
This interview was really gnarly
He’s using a lot of logic in his arguments
God he's amazing .so talented and tha best. Love me sum Logic!!
Hey Ethan, where can i buy that hat? Super rad.
Man I love this guy logic.
I had a similar upbringing in the Chicago area. I also would say to myself, what are these adults doing? It was like I was the parent. I feel you man.
I love logic. he's music is relative and so interesting. and he doesn't music just for the money he genuinely lives and breathes music.

Gnarly is a badass word. A pretty gnarly word if you will
Logic pretty much nailed it on why he didn’t want to be around his dad. I’m not angry with my own mother, but I can’t continue to be hurt by her.
I like this interview. I can relate to a lot of what he's saying.
So basically he turned a negative situation into a positive situation. Good for him.

Why does Logic look so much older in this ? Must be the lighting
Key thing to remember about alcoholics and addicts: they aren't bad people trying to be good, they are sick people trying to get better.
