I was afraid for the league when they got Gordon because I knew how well he would fit when the Nuggets got Porter Jr and Murray back healthy, giving them a starting five without a weak or even average link, and all in their primes. @@samjordan5342 agreed. The Warriors system was centered around the 3PT shot because they obv had the two best shooters ever. But it’s mainly the same type of movement offense. No one is standing around, they’re constantly trying to attack the paint so they can scramble defenses and get their shooters open. Draymond is a very poor man’s Jokic, but he’s doing similar types of reads. His bread and butter is the DHO with Steph and the low post split. Denver does it similarly with Jokic/Murray. One thing I’ve noticed throughout Jokic career is he’s always had a solid PF with him. But what separates this team from the others is that Aaron Gordon is better than any 4 he’s ever had. He had Kenneth Faried early in his career, he had an older but solid Millsap for a few years, he had Jerami Grant the year they went to the WCF in the bubble, and now they have Gordon. The high/low combo with the PF for them is just as important as the Jokic/Murray duo. Gordon is still very athletic, physical, great POA defender, and can hit timely shots. The others just weren’t as good for Jokic because he needs an athletic/physical presence to catch lobs and passes down low and someone who can defend PnR so Jokic isn’t always out of position. Just great roster construction by Denver FO

He’s one of the clutches guys in league history when you look at the facts instead of narratives Kobe literally blew a 3-1 lead and single handily stopped his team from winning in 04 from chasing a finals mvp with a top 3 peak Shaq on his team. MJ is more clutch but you will never see a dude smoke so many open clutch lay ups and just open shots in general like 3s and midranges

Jokic is the best offensive engine in the game, murray gives them the best two-man game in the league, Gordon gives them a sure play finisher, role players like kcp and brown are must keeps; but I think the nuggets should move on from MPJ. Give another team a chance to develop him and get another role player that can do what mpj does more effectively, and most importantly a bonafide defensive minded PF/C to back up Jokic just in case they run into Giannis in the finals.

Dude left me speechless in his finals run and I won't forget it despite this year upset, so I really really really wish I could see these two face off. To me, there's no stopping this team unless you got two things:
    1. One on one good match ups so you rarely double the stars
    2. A crazy offense that can outscore the Nuggets cause you ain't stopping them
Sadly the Heat has neither so this is a wrap. Great run tho, would've love to see it go to 7
