With all this in mind please enjoy the video. Do not harass Rose using my opinion. This is all just speculation as to what could have caused the changes in her face over time. I do not have access to her medical records, this is just my opinion. I have no intentions to cause any harm, and it is for the purpose of education on plastic surgery and to understand the immense pressure these girls have to look and act perfect in a very competitive and pressuring industry like Kpop.

Roseanne Park was born on February 11 1997 in Auckland, New Zealand, to South Korean immigrant parents. She also has an older sister. Rose began singing and playing guitar and piano as a child.
At the age of 16 she attended an audition for YG entertainment and was ranked first among the participants. Afterwards she trained for 4 years before her announcement as the four member of the group Blackpink.
Since then, she and the other members have had major success as one of the most prolific Kpop groups of all time. This leaves her with an estimated net worth of 8 million dollars, which is likely to grow larger as she continues to take on partnerships.
Some recent examples of brand partnerships are the following:
Saint Laurent Solferino bag, BVLGARI, Samsung galaxy note 20, Visa Debit card, OMEGA, Brawlstars, and many more. These are huge brands which shows that Rose is powerful on her own with an avid fanbase.
Beauty traits of Rose Park:
beautifully shaped head, nearly perfect oval, Giving her a gorgeous profile. She has a wide and lovely smile; it completely lights up her face, and her eyes look happy and smile when she does.
Rose's baseline photo used is from when she was in school, before where entering to training for Kpop and rising to stardom. It is one of the few good before photos available.
Rose's profile which is absolutely stunning is the next time to cover, comparisons from before and after indicate some changes to her chin, which gives a different heart shaped appearance to her face and compliments the rest very well.
Regarding body plastic surgery I’m not seeing any evidence of Rose having any body procedures; this doesn’t mean that she hasn’t just that I don’t see any differences that I can attribute to plastic surgery.
Contour makeup, except she doesn't use much makeup. Puberty, However some of these changes were well after puberty so that can’t apply to changes such as her nose. Noses get larger, not smaller with age naturally. Weight -/+, could be the excuse for the cheeks, but that would not affect her eyes, lips, nose, and jaw. There is also photoshop on a lot of pictures which is why I try to find the natural candid photos or one state have not been touched as much. Luckily we can see her in videos which makes it easier to see what she looks like as a comparison.

What’s sad to me is that they lied to the fans in the beginning by saying they signed contracts to have no plastic surgery, when they clearly have. This is horrible for the young fanbase that they have, and it’s why kpop is making unattainable beauty standards. Celebs should stop lying about surgery

Actually, they didn’t lie. They neither confirmed nor denied that they had plastic surgery. What they said is that it is forbidden, but they can have the permission to do it if they ask their CEO as they are already adults.

as someone who’s into kpop, I thank you for making this video. Seeing this beautiful girls it makes us insecure without knowing the whole story behind. Unrealistic beauty is toxic especially to young girls who thinks that that is their natural beauty.

My aunty is a plastic surgeon and she agreed to everything you said 😊 I don’t think getting beauty jobs is a bad thing at all and I really like your videos. It’s important to talk about those things openly. Young girls always think that they are naturally not beautiful because they don’t look like their idols. My auntie ALWAYS has to tell them that this is not done by nature and there was plastic surgery done. The most important thing is that you are doing it for yourself and you feel pretty. @camila lee true but I feel like Western Celebs who get criticized for appearances can make a "I love myself and looks" post and still receive tons of support. KPop Idols get criticized or have any potential negative allegations, they are much more likely to get dropped from projects, labels, brands, and get attacked by netizens. Plus, the lack of mental health support is staggering. It's only improved a tad but at the cost of multiple idol suicides......

I mean, Korea is the capital of surgeries like this for a reason. Most idols have had surgeries. Some are very honest with it, most notably Jessie who's extremely honest with her surgeries. I wish people were more honest with these things, not only to break the stigma but also because there's a shitton of girls comparing themselves to idols, not knowing what they see isn't natural.

@@Metroid250 US perform good plastic surgeries to some celebrity, but lot of the time I prefer their before look than the after look. it doesn't look natural, and sometimes the surgery didn't age well. plastic surgeon on korea are really good tho, they think through how the face would look when you aged, they can also prevent bad face aging problem with subtle surgery on young age,

Jessi is among a few korean celebrities who publicly admitted going under the knife
Also Rose definitely got buccal fat removal. Her cheeks were more chubby/had more volume when she debuted and now its more flat and subtle. It always looked like she was biting onto marshmallows as her cheeks looked stuff. Now her face is more slim and she looks great!
Yeah I was about to say she just lost face and body weight until I learned she naturally had a skinny body and only lost a very tiny bit of weight at debut, so I guess she got fat removal because she would’ve lost body weight too if that was the case
I’m on the fence about this one. On average, females hold more fat in their face as compared to males. So I really don’t know if it is simply weight loss (because she has lost weight since debut) and getting older. As the fat in the face declines with age. Harder to tell with women. Either way it looks great!

For people who are curious of why it's so hard to find old pictures of Blackpink, it's because their company regulates all that. K-pop industry is very conservative. Companies big as YG has the power to control the media. They'll only release good photos and get rid of all the bad ones. That's why it's soooo difficult to find Blackpink's and bad or pre-debut photos.
I think it's definitely easier to find Lisa's unfiltered pre-debut photos cuz she's not Korean, and YG wasn't able control foreign leakages.

Lorry’s analysis is professional and respectful. And fans request these videos so anyone offended by this is delusional. These celebrities have clearly had work done and even untrained eyes can see the changes that can only occur surgically. The whole point of this series is to dispel the negativity surrounding plastic surgery and to be more transparent about what procedures people get done. This shows us normal people that humans are imperfect and that’s totally okay, and if given the opportunity to better yourself through plastic surgery, more power to you! I honestly think these videos do so much good, because the westerns fans in the comments are clearly more open-minded and acknowledge that their faves have gotten surgery and support that decision. We are actually fascinated learning about it, and we still love and support them☺️

Sorry about the delusional fans... it's a bit conservative for them to admit out loud that ps is common and visible, but they don't want to be attacked for saying these ppl don't have "natural beauty". the wording "natural" itself is just gross because makeup, self care and growth can all play a role in making one's appearance seem different. it's super sad and I hope this toxic mindset changes one day. and I wonder if having some confidence in one's looks, whether natural or new, is a bad thing to them.

I think pointing these kinds of things out are important, otherwise people will make you believe puberty and makeup will fix everything. I remember being really disappointed when contouring didn't make my nose anything like the celebrities, and that's because many of them did more than contouring to achieve their looks. These were girls who were beautiful from the start, but they're expected to have an other worldly beauty as idols. It's better to accept the changes they made to themselves rather than being in denial. Thank you for explaining these things even though you might get hate for it.

This is true. It's actually pretty hard to find an all-natural kpop idol. A lot of them also have natural-looking fillers; it's very common in korea but most do not know.

I am a blink too myself. but I do not appreciate them coming out saying that their company had never ever allowed them to do any kind of plastic surgery. And that there are naturally beautiful. it’s just straight up lying 🤥.
Blackpink have never said that they have never done any plastic surgery. They said that such things like PS are prohibited but can be done by getting permission from CEO. They neither denied it nor accepted it, they've never really addressed this issue about PS.
It's funny that people still misunderstand what they said. They clearly said that it's not allowed to plastic surgery, drive or drink UNLESS you get a permission from the company. So basically yes it's allowed you just need to ask the boss first.

Rose’s finished look is absolutely stunning, the changes were so subtle and only enhanced her beauty. She still looks so natural. I see she just looks more elegant.

Lorry! You need to check out Chinese actress Angelababy, the woman is so beautiful but distinctively different from her past photos. It’s also notorious that while she’s often accused of Plastic Surgery because of the drastic change she always claims she’s natural and has even go through several revisions by doctors to prove it.
She's pretty and I had a girl crush on her in Independence Day but she obviously had a lot of work done. I won't be surprised if she's one of the asian celebrities that had the most work done.

Y’all have to stop defending your idols about plastic surgeries to pretend they are natural beauties. It’s OKAY to have plastic surgery. And even more when your a celebrity, with all the hate etc, sometimes you’re insecure about yourself and having some changement can be good for you. Plastic surgery can be good, if you don’t end up looking like Oli London. Also, Rosé doesn’t look that different from the young Rosé. We can still say she was pretty naturally.
I'm enjoying this series, toxic fans need to back off. Also I learned South Korean plastic surgery, is yourself but better in most cases. So it's minor tweaks here and there, usually very hard to pin point.

Rosè was so cute in the baseline photo used, especially her smile. That short bob hair looks really good on her too. I always had a feeling she had something done on her eyes and nose. Even with possible procedures, I still think she's a natural beauty because her pre-procedure photos show that she was born pretty. It's her job to look "perfect" so I don't blame her. I don't consider myself a blink but I am looking forward to her solo.
She uses eye lid tape as to why her eyes look wide when wearing makeup :) and her lashes are done differently as well as her eyeliner which makes her eyes look more cat like. Her lips are the same as well as her face structure, and her nose doesn't seem different as well as the nostrils due to smiling or frowning. ☺ I can't wait for her solo too!

@Eunoia Flowers Rosé uses eyelid tapes. It is not a kind of surgery, but it is a natural way to have a little double eyelids. She probably put eyelid tapes overnight. Also, there's a part in BLACKPINK House where she's not wearing a makeup, and her eyelids is the same as her pre-debut. It's just that the eyeliner makes her eyes different, but if she removed the eyeliner, still the same as before.
Her nose and lips is still the same as before. Have you remember her "welcome to pajama news" video? Her nose and lips is still the same. Her nose still has a little line on the tip ever since.

This makes sense why we don’t see Blackpink often it’s probably because they need time to recover from the work done on their face
but during the time when snsd was very popular at their peak, we see them very often altho they have plastic surgery from time to time in their career as well

Korean celebrities mostly has a very good taste in plastic surgery. They just enhance a few facial features very naturally and keep other features as they are. Even the breast augmentation looks extremely natural. They are the only people who made me want to have plastic surgery lol

Plastic surgery is apart of almost every celeb culture every where. Every country has its flaws and our society continously tells us we are not good enough. This isn't Koreas problem, it's the worlds problem. Fans shouldn't attack others, it's not okay but it is understandable. The amount of racism shown towards idols and fans is disgusting, the stereotype that is every korean having surgery and being plastic monsters is hurtful. Fans are scared that this could be used against the idols and them and rightfully so. Fans are humans too. There are many idols just as there are many US celebs so some have had surgery while some haven't.

I'm still not sure about the eyelid because there are some asian eyes, (I'm one of those) that are mono eyelid but when tilting the head, it appears as double eyelid ( I apologize if it doesn't make sense, but this is the case for me) so i assumed that's the case for rosé too, her bare face is much more similar to her predebut photos. In the end, we don't know the truth and it's her choice to do whatever she wants.

This made me realize how much idol's faces change in front of our eyes and we don't even notice anything. It makes me worry also because it's like it's never ending ! They did enhance their beauty at first and reached perfection at some point (their rookie days) but then they did too much in my opinion, removing a bit of their beauty and becoming less natural looking.. I don't want them to be like Park Bom.

I think the thing about KPOP surgeries and korean surgery in general, is that they’re mostly to make people look more photogenic for candid/pap shots at odd angles with strong light
So adding a bit of height to the nose, some depth to the eye ETC is such a subtle change but it helps give them that “natural” beauty look
it also tends to age well with them IMO and they’re the kind of surgeries that look better with age as opposed to most western surgeries which often look worse with age IMO

Yes, those words can be true to a certain point. When you grow up your cheeks may get slightly more slime and Make up can make your cheeks look more refine and you can you the tape to make your eyes bigger but Korea has higher plastic surgery rate. We don’t know if she did or not. But whether she did or didn’t it still doesn’t denied the fact that she has talents, that’s true.
She might get the fat removed so her cheeks are thinner, she might get her eyes done but she still have most of her natural features. We can still recognize her through her younger photos. It’s not like she did a lot that it change how she looked entirely.

Its not really western, its been around their culture for a long time. Long straight noses, really pearl white skin, you can check Asian history if you want to. But its not western, trust me most people like tan or dark skin now. Asians do not. I personally like dark skin too, so yeah.

I thought I was the only who noticed big changes in her appearance and how her eyes are so different from her parents and also how her nose looks so different from her childhood it was hard for me to believe when they said she hasn't gone any work done. Not to mention her face shape difference and how it's really small now and during rookie days she was known for her chubby cheeks and suddenly it's just gone? I noticed a big diffrence during kill this love her face looked more structed and her eyes suddenly got bigger that's when I was positive she got something done.
I’ve noticed that too, her eyes, nose, and overall face shape changed completely. I’ve noticed how sharp and slim her face is recently and I find it difficult to believe that it’s “puberty” like a lot of fans claim. In Korea, Kpop idols regularly have to keep up their appearance with small aesthetic works like lip/cheek fillers as well- which I found out not too long ago. It definitely changed my perspective for the better on how I feel as an Asian person and how beauty is defined in our society.
I appreciate how this video is so informative and compassionate in tone. Lorry discusses the procedures Rosé might have had in a way that is completely devoid of judgment and I also like how she says plastic surgery is neither good nor bad. I think it’s important to “pull back the veil” as Lorry says so that young women won’t have unrealistic expectations of “natural” beauty. At the same time I don’t believe in judging anyone who has had plastic surgery, especially kpop idols, because the pressure on women to look perfect is intense! I agree that Rosé is beautiful in both her before and after photos, and she is my bias. 💖

Thanks for doing these videos. I was a fan of kpop in the early 2000's before the boom. I used to idolize those idols who never admited to procedures. They would claim their features changed using facial slimming tools and other stupid things lol. They would say bb cream gave them clear skin lol 🙄 And back then most of us believed it or thought they were natural. I used to beat myself up a lot for not looking perfect only to realize years later they don't even look like that either.
