For Suga I noticed that during his break when a gained a little weight, he carried it a lot in his face (he still looked good this was just an observation) so I think some of his difference can be weight loss, especially in his jaw. He looks like a work of art either way! XO Great video Dr. Youn!
if you look at him at debut to now he has without any doubt slimmed down his jaw or even shaved it down, it's undeniable and very common in korea unfortunately
@@noms341 if you watched in the soop 1 and this is just my opinion no hate. His face was chubbier and his jaw was definitely not defined. I do feel when he gains weight in his face it changes
@@noms341 yup. His chin used to be slightly more squared off too. I think it's botox in the jaw (something I get done too) and fillers in the chin. He's also had a hair transplant to lower his forehead which is very noticeable if you compare it to the debut days.
@@mslaurajane33 I’m so glad someone else has noticed it! Just like Tae, he used to have his forehead covered all the time, then went through a stage of wearing headbands a lot, and now we see his forehead more. They both look great with it done though
@@93Beccax agreed. Yoongi is beautiful and I love that he shows his forehead now. I've been, like, studying his forehead for weeks now and I am very confident he had a hair transplant. A ton of celebrities alter their hairlines, whether it's hair transplants or Lazer removal.

Jimin's nose is 100% natural. If you look at his full side profile, you can actually see that it isn't completely straight, it actually has a really small nose bridge hump. I've drawn him many many times, so I know his face anatomy to the smallest detail.

But since Jimin's weight is just like yo-yo, very easily gainning, sometimes he looks different.
Naturally Jimin has chubby cheeks and his changing weight is obviously seen on his cheeks, even every event his faces can be changed into rounder, sharper or very taper. Therefor he is on diet very often, but he is always adorable. 💜

Well he is Korean, so...
I was a makeup artist for 13 yrs specializing in Asian faces. While I can't speak about JK's nose (not a surgeon), I'm pretty confident that JK did not get his eyes done. It's very hard to tell in photos, but if you watch his Vlive with no makeup on, his eyelids tend to come and go, naturally. Meaning one day he'd have double lids and another would have single lids. That's because he has what we called an "under double-lids" where the second fold is folded underneath. In makeup, we use "eyelid tape/glue" to easily create a thicker or second fold for clients who want the appearance of double eyelids. They may have done that for him in photoshoots/events which made Dr. Youn think that he had work done.
I know right, when i was elementary school. I just have mono lid but when i was entering junior high school i noticed that i finally have a double eyelid

His smile is excellent with the little overlapping tooth. One of the best celebrity smiles I have seen. A tiny imperfection highlights rather than detracts. I remember when Julia Roberts came out and the people went wild for her smile, which is probably an orthodontist's nightmare. The quest for perfection always leaves something to be desired. It is warmth behind the smile that people gravitate towards.physical

Some of the pictures aren't the most recent but for Suga I notice he gains weight in his face first. Now that he's not in chronic pain with his shoulder after surgery he overall looks much healthier. I also think that the boys were good looking to start with but with age and having good stylists works in their favor. They've been in front of the camera for years too and know how to work their angles.

I don’t know where you got that “high school photograph” of Jungkook, but it’s actually a photocard from their Tear album. 😂 And the “more recent” photo you showed was taken before they did the photoshoot for Tear. Would love to see you use an actual childhood photo of Jungkook and try this again! When he debuted with BTS, he was still in high school, so even some early BTS pics would be helpful to compare.

Theres a video of jk at his hs graduation and his nose was def bigger. Pretty sure he had work done. They did a great job.

I don't think he did his nose, because when he was younger he had a thin face so his nose looked bigger in comparison, but now that he has grown up and his jaw had become chiseled, his nose looks smaller giving the impression that he did surgery

Also.in case you don'tknow a normal rhinoplasty takes almost a month to heal... unlike Rm.. jk was nt absent from any of their schedules.. always on camera! So when did he got his surgery done??

just wanted to say that the jungkook "teenage" photo isn't teenage at all, in fact, it was actually taken later than some of the "current" reference photos you've compared them to. jungkook debuted in the group when he was aged 15, so it might be best to look at photos of him right when the group debuted. there is also a whole load of photos of him at age 13-14 while they were preparing to debut.
Yeah that photo was around the LY:Tear era so around 2018, already 5 years into his career, wish he would've looked at actual older photos of him from debut
I think it's hardly worth it to discuss JK's face because when he started he was literally prepuberty. People change so much as they get older.

With Suga especially, his face looks dramatically different depending on what makeup he's wearing - particularly his eyes. If you look at him in In the Soop or some of their other more casual shows where he doesn't have much/any makeup on, he looks way more like his high school photo, even around the jaw. A good point of reference for this is In The Soop S2. His weight has also shifted dramatically several times throughout the group's run so far, and his face really rounds out with only a little (perfectly normal) weight gain.
So, I go back and forth on whether or not that's surgery or just good makeup/lighting. I do think he's probably had his hairline altered, though. It was much higher before and rounder and now it's very square/straight across.

@@NatalieMarie917 Yea, he seems to be quite thin most of the time, so even a few pounds really makes a difference. If you look at him around the Fake Love era/comeback and compare that to just a few months later, he looks so, so different, especially his jaw/chin, and the actual weight shift was probably only a few pounds in either direction. My husband has a very similar body shape and size, and just a couple weeks of good eating on vacation and he looks like a different person. Whereas Namjoon mentioned recently that he’d lost 10+ lbs and I wouldn’t have known if he hadn’t said so. Bodies are interesting!
Im someone whose face changes drastically with weight loss or gain and age. Which is why I think Yoongi didn't get any work done because if he has no makeup on or has put on a bit of weight his face gets rounder and eyes are smaller too. But if he lose alot of weight his face really slims down and his features are more prominent.
And initially I thought jimin got work done too but I noticed that without makeup and in relaxed state his features are still the same as when he was a kid.
And also this is not a hating or shading the dr. Just stating my observation. 😊

Jimin is the last member of bts I'd think of when talking about ps. Compare his childhood pictures, that boy looks exactly the same. The little boopy nose, plump lips, his (sometimes) puffy eyes, and his overall skin are all his natural features.

That's not a picture of Jungkook in high school. I believe that was from a photoshoot for the Love Yourself: Tear album. His high school picture would more than likely show him wearing his yellow SOPA uniform. The first picture with the blue Jean jacket was taken in 2018, and the second with the satin blue & red jacket was taken in 2017 at the AMA'S.

It’s so hard to pin down the masseter muscle jaw thing with Suga. Whenever he gives himself the permission to eat whatever the heck he wants, he gets that same rounded jaw as he had from his high school picture. It could be that he’s had it done, but it’s so subtle that it disappears entirely sometimes if he has and that just doesn’t seem very… what’s the word I’m looking for - practical? Impactful? I don’t know, probably any minor procedures are worth it if you are in the public eye, so who am I to judge🤷🏻♀️

my friend posted a picture of him and me from over 20 years ago on sm. my face was very different back then. decades later my nose is more defined, my eyelids now double and shape very different. my jawline also is much more defined. i’ve had absolutely no plastic surgery, botox/filler, etc. even my sister questioned if i had stuff done. point is, your face can drastically change just over the years, naturally. i actually look a lot better in my 40s than i did in my 20s. i know if these drs saw my these pictures they’d swear on their professions i had surgery, when i didn’t, so i take all this with a grain of salt.
this can also happen if you change your diet and skincare as asian eyelids are full of muscle but mostly fat which are very different when compared to eyelids of other races.

The two Jungkook photos you examined were actually taken the complete opposite in time! The left one was taken in 2018 for their LY:Tear album promotion (and way after he finished high school), while the right was taken in 2017 on AMA if I’m not mistaken. So the comparison wasn’t really it for this one, hahaha
Yess I was gonna say the same thing 😭 but he definitely got rhinoplasties before. There’s another analysis video by kpopprodecure that used his predebut photos & assessed them.
i'm sure he's seen many many more pictures and vids of them haha he prob just chose ones that would best show the changes he thinks may or may not have happened.
@@_birdieyour reasoning does not really makes sense, because he said the changes made his nose project more in the earlier pictures. Meaning the "nose job" enhanced it. However if the pictures are reversed, then it means the opposite happened and his nose actually "lost" his shape naturally

5:42 That's not a, "high school photograph." That's taken from a publicity photo shoot they did for the album, "Love Yourself: Tear," released in 2018.
Not only was Jungkook around 21 years old at that point, but they were given very specific makeup themed around the album's concept. He was portraying, "constrained sadness," so the makeup is meant to be somewhat washed-out & naturalistic, with redness around the eyes.

Jimin appears natural in all his facial feature. His nose stays cute and small. And, Namjoon has shown the proof in their concerts alot of times when he squeezes Jimin's face to give the latter comfort whenever he felt bad for he being bothered of a previous bad performance due to exhaustion or illness.

I’m prepared to accept the opinion of an expert regarding Jungkook’s nose however I would also like to cite the case of my daughter, who has definitely never had rhinoplasty. As a baby and child her nose was always too big for her face and when she was mid-teens it was still big and out of proportion, she was a bit self conscious of it. But as she entered her late teens and then twenties her body shape and face shape changed. Her nose became naturally more aquiline (that is it became less ‘fat’ on the sides) and is now in perfect proportion for her face. So I think it’s quite probable, as Jungkook was only 15 when he debuted, that the change is all natural. Either way, his face is his own and it looks perfect to me. Regarding the others, I don’t believe any of them have had plastic surgery (except RM for medical reasons).

Like my other favorite RUclipsr so beautifully says ‘let’s lift the veil on plastic surgery’. I love BTS with or without surgeries. They make millions of people smile and feel happy (especially during tough times), and that’s simply the most beautiful thing ever!
I would love to see Lorry Hill do analysis videos on the BTS members. She did such a good job with the BP members but she also seemed to have gotten a lot of hate for it & so, sadly, it would probably be quite risky for her to do BTS anytime soon since so many Armys are obsessed with their "natural beauty" belief :/
That „highschool picture“ of jungkook is from love yourself tear…. That was in 2018 while his „more recent picture“ was from 2017. This is not to say that I don’t think he has done plastic surgery just that the math aint really mathing with the pictures you chose…

I can say practically without a doubt that JK hasn’t had eyelid surgery. One thing I noticed about him from 2017 is that he’s always had double eyelids. It’s a feature I’ve always associated with him, even in his baby photos.
I'm not sure about suga jaw because if you watch bts in the soop 1 hes face was chubbier and you couldn't see his jaw like how it usually is so I feel when he loses weight then his jaw looks abit sharper.
Jimin and his beauty are indeed so natural and so perfect. For Yoongi, I do think he got eyelid surgery and maybe some Botox on his jaw, but I think his nose is the same. For JK, his nose always remained big, but it seemed to be more bulbous earlier in their careers. Also, I'm reading from some of these comments complaining about the high school picture used for JK. That photo of JK was taken before their extended play, "Love Yourself: Her," came out in 2017. JK graduated high school in 2017. It is a high school photo, but I do agree that Dr. Youn should have used a much earlier reference photo.
yoongi dont have eyelid surgery. they use eyelid tape because he still have recent photos that shows he is monolid. he may have done something with his chin however he have photos when he is young that his jaw chisled. the only known procedure ge have done is his beard and moustache which he admitted getting lazered because it grows quickly
I think they could have left his nose alone. He has such a unique boy next door kind of face anyway, and he would have grown into it. I think that is a case of too much pressure on young performers, before they can give informed consent. I'm not a fan of that thing they seem to do a lot in Korean nose jobs, where they chisel the tip flat. But maybe that's my North American bias. He clearly has no problem with body modifications now and he has wisely focused on his non-physical qualities, which is a great indicator that his superstardom will last a lifetime.

bro you're WRONG. that photo of JK is not from his highschool, it's from 2018 when they released LY: Tear and the one on the right is when they performed at the AMAS in 2017, litteraly a year before. it doesn't make sense considering his claims afterwards. yes he could've had surgery done but the info on the photos is still wrong. plus, his creases are natural, there's photos of him as a kid with creases. i just think he should've done a bit more reasearch before spreading misinformation that people will believe.
Jimin looks literally the same than when he was a baby I have no doubts he’s natural! about Jungkook’s nose I can’t really tell cuz we saw him going to puberty and he changed a lot (specially his face structure to a more ‘manly’) and about Yoongi I’m not sure because he truly changes a lot depending of the weight and makeup. I personally think he is the member that is constantly changing in a short time or a a few months (for example when they are promoting something he has a really sharp chin and thin face and when he’s not like in the soop or something he’s a little bit more chubby and has adorable cheeks lol

it's actually really helpful hearing about this from a plastic surgeon who is also asian. Esp since plastic surgery is sooo prevalent in places like korea, and of course very common in kpop. (And can often be hard to tell bc of things like the use of contouring w makeup. Esp for the nose.) So it's cool to hear insight from his perspective.

The photo for Jungkook that you used are from 2019ish time frame and a photoshopped photo from the Love Yourself Tear album. The comparison photos are from 2018-2020. He graduated in 2017. I’d love to hear your opinion knowing this because it could change your opinions.
I think it’s pretty obvious that he got his nose done like it looks really straight and plasticky in videos it definitely doesn’t look the same as it did pre-debut

Those pictures of jungkook may be from around the same time. Im pretty sure the 'high school' photograph was during fake love era which was actually after one of the 'recent' pictures from DNA era. Thats 2018 vs. 2017. Not saying he couldn't have had anything done, but I remember a behind the scenes where he said they used eyelid tape during DNA bc they were going for 'American' styling.

Not sure about the middle one… Suga? I’m not sure what their names are, but I like their music. Anyway, the facial slimming is what I’m unsure of. My son had a baby face like his through high school, then when he was nearing 18, it really started slimming out pretty fast, almost overnight. So if you look at a picture from when he just turned 17 and one from when he turned 18, he looks completely different. He’s almost 19 now and that baby face is long gone. He has a man’s face, now. So it’s possible to lose that rounded look naturally with no work and it can happen fast by maturation in some people. I honestly didn’t think it would in either of my boys because my husband still has a bit of a baby face. Genetics are weird…
Suga in my opinion doesn't appear to have had anything done. He tends to gain weight in his face and that particular picture that Dr. Youn used is actually a few years old at a time when he was especially thin. Nowadays his face is noticeably rounder. It's debatable but I think his face differences are mostly due to age and weight gain.
Sugas picture is not from high school is from middle school( mix school) in high school when he went a all school boys ( private school) you can see with way shorter hair and paler, then when he joined big hit he went to a mix high school in Soul.
When it comes to J.K., I think that he was very self concerned about the scar on his cheek when he was younger. I believe, in my personal opinion, that if he was going to get plastic surgery, he would have had the scar removed before anything else. He also had what we refer to as baby fat. Millions of people watched as he matured, he lost a lot of that "baby fat", while working out and boxing. I think it is quite possible that the facial changes are all do to his maturing. He may have had plastic surgery or not, but that is his personal information. If he wants to share that is up to him. People want to make assumptions about every aspect of their favorite idols life instead of giving them the privacy they deserve, when they are not entertaining the masses.
