Why does Ariana Grande look so different? I will dive into every plastic surgery and cosmetic procedure that Ariana has had so far, and cover the newest updates to her look.
Starting off with her natural beauty traits that we all know, she has big, round, expressive eyes, a gorgeous smile, and nice balanced facial features. She is of Italian descent and carries some of those features.
Ariana, like most young female celebrities in Hollywood, started some procedures young and people caught on to some more sudden changes which evolved into rumors about surgery. Because she was still in her teens, it was mostly written off as growth and maturation.
Her plastic surgery started as a teen with rhinoplasty, I explain what they did and how they did it in the video. There were some changes to her brow. She then was seen to have some changes made to the shape of her eyes as shown in the examples in the video. We then go on to see changes to her chin, some cosmetic dental work, possible invisalign braces from an invisalign certified orthodontist, and I even changed a previous statement I had made in an older video regarding her teeth. We then see the classic lip fillers, cheek filler, and it looks so good.
Her face changes front the past end there, and I then move to covering what changes happened to her body. We see some changes to her bust.
Now that the past procedures are covered , I want to discuss what has changed since my last video. In September, I got many DMs asking about Ariana Grande’s face. I made a quick YT short that gained a lot of traction, so clearly people were interested in knowing what had happened. At the time, there were no new public images or videos that were unedited. However, 5 days later, we got a new look at her face as she appeared as a judge on The Voice. I instantly knew that My previous suspicion of weight loss was out the window. She had some surgeries. Her face is extremely tight, jawline sharp, cheeks are up, and now there is no asymmetry like before. We go over some before and after photos and it is subtle, but overall points toward surgery. She even had a nose changed from a likely rhinoplasty. Her body changed to be closer to her previous natural size. You will want to stay for the very end where I add up all of the costs to look like Ariana Grande and it is a lot.

Ariana Grande is a 28 year old singing sensation. She has both young and old fans all across the world. In 2013 Ariana Grande first came to the public's attention for her appearance on the Nickelodeon show “victorious” as Cat Valentine.
Playing opposite a young Victoria Justice she was the cute sidekick but definitely not the show stealer she is today. *For the people in the back:* The surgery isn't the issue. The issue is, many celebrities deny having surgery and then launch commercials to prey on people who wish to look like them. It gets the younger fans thinking "if I have her makeup I can look like her" or any other product that sponsors them. This is why the UK is cracking down on edited photos and false perceptions online. I'm grateful for creators like Lorry who bring this information to light without trying to demonize.

@@melisad2716 celebrities in general, getting defensive doesn't negate the fact that there's a viscous cycle of celebrities feeling pressured to alter their appearance, then not being transparent about their fans about it and their fans in turn succumbing to unrealistic beauty standards. It's important that celebrities are open about getting work done like cardi.
@@melisad2716 That's a very defensive response and does not address the gravity of the issue. The original comment here tastefully presents the very problem with the "unreal beauty standards." It's fine to get it if you can afford it, but also be truthful about it. We don't want our younger generations growing up hating their bodies just because they think unrealistic, artificially sculpted bodies are natural. And the original comment never hinted at Ariana at all. It's a general statement, every iota of which is true.

Her eyes always had an almond shape, she just changed up her makeup. I can make my eyes look completely different depending on how I do my liner. That said, she’s def had her nose done, and filler. But her eyes (up until very recently) were 100% real. I can tell.

I love Ariana myself but there’s no denying that she’s had surgery. And when she goes weeks without posting selfies, and then posts looking completely different, it makes it blatantly obvious. The surgery isn’t an issue, the problem is acting as if your facial features just look completely different because of “aging” and “makeup”.

@@brookeroeder7974 because younger people who do not know any better are going to believe that people naturally look like that, and it’s going to make them hold themselves to a beauty standard that isn’t accessible to the vast majority of people. And this is going to be harder on individuals with body image issues, especially BDD. The surgery itself isn’t the problem, but it’s the lack of honesty and transparency.

100% the worst case of celebrities lying is the kardashians on the reunion episode. They said that they "stay healthy and work out" to keep in shape. They accept no responsibility for promoting unrealistic beauty standards even though they all have BBL.

In my opinion, the debate about their plastic surgeries is one of the things that keep them relevant. It's a topic that people will always bring up because they never own up to it. And if people continue to talk about them, they remain "relevant". Just my theory.

@@KurosakiLuvar01 I literally got lipo months ago and I gained all the weight back. I paid over 15,000 USD for 360 lipo only to gain weight. Surgery is not magic. You have to hit the gym and eat right otherwise lipo will be a huge waste of money. I was super excited after my results that I was so much skinnier that I lowered my guard and ate out every single day without exercising at all. Surgery gives you a head start but you absolutely have to adopt a healthy lifestyle to maintain the result!
The redistribution of how your body carried weight after a bbl or lipo remains for the most part though. No ones saying lipo makes calories not count but if you do count them and lose weight your original look should resurface because the fat redistribution has already been done. You can’t do that without surgery

the more i watch surgery trends, the more i see that it's almost like *ethnicities* are going in and out of fashion. first we had latino/black stereotypical bodies as a trend, now we're having east asian stereotypical eyes as trends.
Not only eyes, but also body types! People are removing their BBLs, breast implants and tans to have this body type attributed to east asian girls (skinny but stylized body, small breasts and impossible pale skin), since k-pop/k-media is the new It™ thing in America.

Also, I'm Italian and I can genuinely say that when she was younger she had a lot of the typical Italian features, you know: big, round eyes, prominent nose, dark, curly hair. She was a natural beauty and didn't need to do all of this to her face. I feel so sorry for Ariana, now. 💔

arriviamo all'argomento naso. ci sono centinaia di foto di ariana da bambina/adolescente in cui il suo naso è identico a quello che adesso; foto con angolazioni sbagliate e luci soffuse farebbero sembrare diversa chiunque. aggiungiamo anche che illuminante e countouring di un makeup artist fanno miracoli.
non si è mai fatta aumentare il seno. in una foto che ha messo, in cui il suo petto sembra più gonfio, stava indossando un corsetto. gli occhi sono identici a com'erano prima. diversi modi di truccarsi cambiano totalmente la loro forma. la matita nera all'interno gli rimpicciolsce, un eyeliner sulla palpebra e ciglia finte nella parte più esterna dell'occhio lo allungano. non mi sembra complicato da capire.
ariana ha sicuramente fatto il filler alle labbra e agli zigomi, e anche un browlift, ma nessuna di queste operazioni invasive che la tipa ha menzionato sono realistiche. la verità è che vi state condizionando a vicenda, spingendo una donna di 30 anni ad essere insicura del suo aspetto tanto da disattivare account e limitare commenti sotto i post. mi fate tristezza.

Even so, manifesting can change how you look drastically but not that fast (I actually don't know how long the span was between her face from before and after). It would take time for the features you want to manifest to appear, and it wouldn't be overnight. Nothing is wrong with plastic surgery initially. The problem arises when you lie about it.

One of the reasons I love celebs like Cardi is that they're honest about having work done. They talk about the look, the money that goes into it, and the pain of recovery. It's refreshing to have a few celebrities be real with us!

In my humble opinion the surgery has aged her. I don't understand why celebrities get so many surgeries. They ruin their looks. I appreciate what you do because I didn't realize how much work is done. Especially when I was younger I didn't realize they did all these surgeries to their faces and bodies.
I guess that when you start, you end up always finding something else to perfect, you can never stop... When you're young you make yourself "prettier", and then as you age you do everything you can to look younger. It really never ends. Notice how it's quite rare for someone to have had only one procedure done ?

To be fair not all celebrities go crazy with it. Kaley cuoco had a rhinoplasty and boob job and looks great. To my knowledge she's only had those two procedures. It's just sad to me that someone so young like ariana has felt it necessary to do so much to herself.

As a huge Ariana fan seeing her new face is so devastating. She was naturally beautiful at a young age before she had any work done. Her natural curly hair is also GORGEOUS. I can’t believe she constantly damages her natural face, hair, skin etc when she was so beautiful. She clearly has body dysmorphia as well. Imagine taking the risk and pain of plastic surgery because you hate your own face/ body that much or because you’re THAT insecure. It’s truly sad and reveals underlying mental health issues. She deserves to be happy. 💔

I feel sad that I have to explain to my daughter and son that literally everything they see in life is fake. Fake appearances, fake personalities, fake news, etc. I want them to exist in the real world as much as possible. I am 34 and struggling with accepting myself with all of the filters and plastic surgery. Then I remind myself that life happens. People work hard, they get stressed out, they have children which further adds to it....we were not meant to look like characterless clones.

Some fillers are being linked to cancer; it’s related to blocking the lymphatic system of the face…I’ve always suspected maybe we shouldn’t be injecting foreign substances into our bodies; while I see others looking young & refreshed, I’ve been too nervous. Now 60, gravity is melting my face but I’m trying to live with it in order to live longer, potentially

Dude as someone who was her fan when i was young, suddenly coming across this video lifted a massive weight off of my shoulders. I always admired how pretty she was "naturally" and cursed my genetics for not giving me that 'glow up' she had, but now knowing she had ALL that job done? I think she’s had work done in Korea. Korea specializes in a very distinct style of facial surgery and it’s very obvious when I look at Ariana. My friend is Korean and had her hooded eyes done and even though it was years ago it’s still the same style...lifted eye brows and a large area between lash line to eyebrow, with minimal lid/crease. They’re also very good with creating very delicate features. So my guess...Korea, or a Korean trained surgeon in Beverly Hills.

@@andressamazgka theres a body type system by david kibbe which is made for help dressing oneself best. by looking at the bone structure people fall in different categories. weight loss or gain doesnt affect this system but plastic surgery does, so ariana (a gamine type according to kibbe, gamine is one of the groups exclusively for small people) altered her face that it doesnt fit her type anymore. gamine is a mix of yin (round, not female) and yang (angular, not male) features by nature, but her face is now too yang.

When I saw her in The Voice, her look impacted me. The first thing I noticed was her eyes: I thought, there was definetely a change. And then, of course, the form of her face and her jaw: she doesn't have cheeks anymore, her face looks so plastic. And whoever says she's natural, it's pretty obvious she's not.
I think the most jarring difference is her jaw and her eyes. She used to have an almond or upside down tear drop shaped head but now it's really square, because her cheek bones are way more pronounced. And obviously she used to have hooded eyes and now her eye lid crease is gone. I wonder how these procedures will age over time

I agree except for the no nose changes. I was born with a pretty flat nose bridge and it continued to be like that for a while. I was teased that I was a cricket LMAO. For some reason though it formed as I grew much older. I’ve got a different nose structure now than when I was a kid. No surgeries whatsoever (I have no money LOL)

I actually love Ariana's original nose. It made her look very youthful. I actually think her surgeries, while subtle, changed her face a lot and made her look a lot older. My concern with plastic surgery is that it ages people more than they realize. Making her eyes and nose smaller aged her by 10-15 years. Her chin is also way too pointy. Her natural jawline suited her body the best because it was her natural face. Her recent appearances she doesn't look recognizeable - I couldn't believe that was her in those videos! I just want to know the mindset behind this: why was her natural face not good enough?

As an Asian woman who has seen other Asian girls literally hate themselves and save all their money to try to get rounder eyes, it makes me feel extremely uneasy that someone with such beautiful round eyes decided to get surgery to make them more slender. I think it’s just the thought of a conventionally beautiful eye in *my world* being made to look more like the eyes we were so much taught to hate.

When I was a teenager my thick stature wasn't in vogue, I was the typical pear shape with slim upper body and thick lower body but I always wanted wider shoulders and a tall and lean physique because that was what was in vogue, but now? i used to compare myself to ariana because i thought she was natural and i wanted her eyes small like hers and my jawline as sharp as hers. but i started to notice how much she actually changed and i thought it was all makeup until i saw this video and alot of other ones. i dont think its right for ariana to lie or any of celeb about having plastic surgery done. and honestly in my opinion ariana doesnt really look like she has a natural face now. it just really hurts me she wants to change every facial feature of hers. but its her life, she can do what she wants she just doesnt need to lie to her younger fans or anyone idolizing her.

I really like the way Ariana looks now - she's absolutely stunning, however, she looks like a completely different person. Like, her original self could be a sister or cousin to her present-day self; just not the same person lol.

The industry she works in really doesn't allow for a healthy self image, especially when someone has started out young in the business, so it has a greater impact in the long term. And it's already hard enough for adults in entertainment. There's also a lot of pressure to have work done by the people they work with- image consultants, talent managers, etc. Ariana is still young and feeling the need to or being told to get this much work done at this point makes it hard to imagine how she'll feel about herself when she starts visibly aging. God knows Hollywood and the entertainment business hate to see women age. Blah. It just makes me think of Judy Garland.

Actually, it's not the same energy. In Adele's case, it's primarily grown women from the toxic side of the body positivity movement who are up in arms. In this case, we are not focused on how Ariana makes grown people feel. The question being posed is, "how might Ariana's outright denials about having plastic surgery affect her young fans (18 and below). She's presenting an unrealistic and unattainable beauty standard that could affect their development in fundamental ways.

About Ari's body: She lost SO much wheight during quarentine, and i believe that her breast implants started to show off (as there weren't to much natural fat to cover up) so she might have gotten them taken off in order for it to look natural

It’s so scary how many young impressionable women and children get so upset when anyone suggests she’s had surgery . They think it’s natural even though she looks like a completely different person! I think that’s harmful.
I used to have such a crush on her!! I was wondering why I had been finding her less cute lately & thought it was due to her losing a bunch of weight... but now I see it is the new work! She just looks like a porcelain doll now.
The rise in cosmetic eye surgery specifically is troubling though. My dad is an eye surgeon and frequently performs blephs for almost entirely elderly patients who have conditions that cause their eyelids to sag enough that it impairs their vision. When I told him about this trend he was disturbed and said no matter how great a surgeon these celebs are likely to have long term consequences because these surgeries aren’t usually done on people this young (not to mention especially on a teenager whose face it still developing it feels to him like an ethical violation). They will likely have to have even more surgery at some point if they develop things like severe dry eye from the eyes not closing properly because the skin around your eye moves as you age and if you’ve altered it enough it is likely your top and bottom eyelids won’t seal right when it shifts. Have a facelift, bbl, or boob job if you want. I understand celebs are under severe social pressure to be beautiful. BUT LEAVE YOUR EYES ALONE. You’re normalizing using EYE SURGERY to make you not really that much more attractive. Ariana had really pretty eyes to begin with. If she messes up pair she was born with even all her millions can’t buy her a new set.

This is a surgery that two people in my family have had, as the eyelids were pressing the eye shut. I will need it myself on one eye only and it's available on the NHS. But my sister's eyes are permanently dry since she had hers done because they don't close properly.

My cousin had eyelid surgery done to replace her monolids with creased lids. I understand why she wanted it, though I personally would not do it myself, but it's incredibly ironic and saddening that she wanted to erase a feature of herself which Ariana Grande paid thousands to have.

My brother had a small and rounded nose when we were kids, but now that we are both in our late twenties, his nose has drastically changed. It is bigger and it compliments his features nicely. I wouldn't be surprised if people thought he got plastic surgery, but it was all puberty. Like you said, noses get bigger, not smaller.
I was a bit overweight when I was a teenager, but I have lost about 40 lbs, so my features look more defined, but my nose is practically the same shape and size. These people are in denial, and I don't get it.

I’m so grateful for this channel. I have seen celebrity faces change over time and when I was younger, I had no idea it was due to plastic surgery. I do think it’s BS that these celebrities get surgery and then sell advertise products to people with the implication that the product will make you look more like them.

She should absolutely not be denying her surgeries, *especially* because of the younger fans. I think cosmetic surgeries are fine, but you gotta be honest about them (there's nothing to be ashamed of!). It actually gives quite an insecure feeling of that person, that they would lie about it and pretend like they were "born with it".

This is a VERY messy topic. I agree with you that these celebrities who have looks that the media defines as "ideal" shouldn't be getting work done and lying about it, because as you said, there are so many people who look up to them. At the same time, celebrities who admit to work being done get bullied majorly. Women are bullied for their looks and bullied again for changing them. It's gross. Lorry mentioned in a previous video that Kim and Ariana use same method of darkening their skin. Something that is taken internally unfortunately I forget if it was via IV or oral.
When I was a kid my nose WAS HUGE compared to the rest of my face. I was all nose and eyes.
Then my face grew, and my nose came to be in proportion. Now, it still looks like a beak on my face and it's kind of hooked and weird, but at least it's weird in proportion, ya know?
Now I just look like a bird with a small beak instead of a toucan hehehe

I think she has body dysmorphia and I don’t think celebrity plastic surgeons care about the mental health issues of their patient. They just see money and perform the surgery. It’s really sad to see.
It’s even sadder to deny having work done. I feel like celebrities deny it out of embarrassment and also because they wish they were naturally that “perfect”. So admitting that they aren’t naturally and that money bought them their face, probably takes a major toll on their self esteem.
