@Oh OF COURSE they have the right to not talk about their plastic surgery. But then to tell everyone to accept themselves as they are... moral hypocrisy. Doing one thing and saying another absolutely make their words less acceptable.
@Oh no it's not ok, they are literally paid to influence us an entertain us, for them to get plastic surgery an boast about body positivity it's hypocritical but this is what the industry wants. They want us to pay thousands of dollars to feel beautiful but then next year it will move to some other body fad. Stop justifying their lies an manipulation they're ruining little girls perception of body images all over the world.
@Oh like everyone is saying celebrities changing their whole face and then claiming they always love themselves is flawed, but the whole "body positive and love youself movement " is in itself bad , our relationship with ourselves changes cause nothing is stationary ,we cannot force ourselves to like us 24/7 we need to be tolerant, the problem with the self-love community is that they don't allow change to occur if you decide to lose weight is frowned upon, we change ,we need to view ourselves in a self-tolerant lense , i personally hate myself a lot but I know that as a person I deserve care and acceptance and that is what I give myself I can't realistically love myself but I can tolerate me :)
i have watched her since liv and maddie (i was around 12 when it first aired). i then saw her on decendants, 1st movie she looked quite similar but in character obviously, by the time the 2nd movie came along, she looked insanely different. big lips, a more sculpted face and brow lift etc. she then just suddenly looked more and more different over time and my 14-16 y/o self was confused bc she was gorgeous. its moments like these that make 'regular' boys and girls assume they aren't good enough if 'celebs' like these that we admire dont even feel that way.
To me, it seems she has opted for a trendy "Instagram" look rather than embracing her genuine looks that might have guaranteed a credible and lasting acting career.
No but I feel weird about actresses who have plastic surgery. When I see someone on screen with a ton of work done and they look ethereal, it’s hard to get into the film/show because they literally do not look real
The fact that she was only 16 when she started means that there were probly people (grown adults) in her ear telling her she needed it. This is honestly so heartbreaking
It makes no sense. Most teenagers want to change something about their looks regardless of what people around them say. The media probably has more influence in that aspect than the adults around...
@@user-gc3rv6jw3n That's true. But the undeniable fact is that the adults around her had to agree that it was a good idea and pay for it, at least at the beginning. Even if teenagers want to get these procedures done, I'm not sure they're able to without parental consent in some places.
@@barbied3034 true, but it would look diff on her as her overall face changes because the proportions change. I lost my face baby fat mid 20s and my nose looked diff due to overall face looking different
I really think they shouldn't allow children to get plastic surgery for non-health related reasons. There should definitely be an age limit or something. And by the time you can actually get it, most people will be over it anyways.
The craziest thing is that Dove's natural face was once the beauty standard hundreds of years ago. Supple cheeks, big eyes, thin lips. Portraits of queens and princesses were even painted ("retouched") that way.
While I agree 100% at the sad irony of changing beauty standards through time. Im probably gonna get flamed for saying this but I dont think thin lips look that great on a person with a round face. I know its controversial to say anything positive about cosmetic procedures, but Dove looked better after that first set of lip fillers. If she wouldve just stopped there her face wouldve been more balanced while keeping the natural features that made her face memorable.
The idea of having work done so young is terrifying. My nose looks different now at 23 than it did when I was 14, and my cheeks and jawline are different. When you’re a teenager you’re still growing into your looks. She didn’t even get the chance to know what she really looks like as an adult.
I agree 100%. I actually think most surgeons would have advised her against doing anything to her face so young. I have a quite large and round nose that I hated growing up. Nowadays, at 27, it looks so much smaller than it did when I was a teenager. Even my friends, who used to tease me about it (very lightly, we all have rather big noses 😅) have noticed and mentioned it. Also, plastic surgery is still surgery and can have serious consequences, it shouldn't be taken lightly at all.
Isabelle!!! Sorry. Praise Yah/God you have a good mind and see things the way they are. It is so sad to see young people hate themselves so much, comparing themselves to unhealthy beauty standards that not even Hollywood can live up to naturally. Its very damaging. Back to Isabelle; can't wait til the November 5th update! 😅
True. I used to have round face when I was a teen, and now that I'm almost 35 my jaw is square and my cheekbones are high. She should have given time to herself.
She makes her own decisions. Deny the surgeries and block everyone who talks or asks about that is one of them, also destroy her face and look Donatella at her 30s is another🤷♀️ let her be. Many people has the resources 2 pay the surgeries but the “pressure” is insignificant. Her own mind is her responsability. Pls no “bad Society” bull**it stuff.
It's really sad that having a soft, rounded, feminine face is considered SO undesirable in the influencer and young celeb crowd. She has put herself through so much to change completely into something she was never meant to be just to fit this extremely narrow mold.
Its not that. They think the grass is greener. During prom while 10 girls were getting ready at one girls house, I noticed all the girls with naturally straight hair were curling it with a curling iron. And all the girls with naturally curly hair (me) were straightening it! We all wanted what we didn't have! But that's just a hair style. Wanting a different face is worrisome.
@@cara7356 I use to think like that, but realized that humans just like change. Its normal to want a change in your hair even tho you might not think anything is wrong with your natural hair.
My little sister started talking about plastic surgery and I told her to wait till she's 25 because that's when you've really lost the baby fat and your cheek bones pop.
She doesn’t even look like herself anymore. She had a face that was so recognizable and easy to remember, which is an incredible trait to have as an actor. But societal pressures and her insecurities caused her to get so much plastic surgery that now she looks like just another Instagram model. If you just showed me the 2021 pictures of her, I would have never guessed it was Dove Cameron. I hope she is able to love herself and the way she looks someday. She deserves to be happy and comfortable in her own skin.
right. when i saw her post on my instagram i didn’t even recognize her until i looked at the username. it’s crazy how plastic surgery can change someone’s face so much that you don’t even recognize them
right? i was so in love with here back in her liv and maddy days, but she looks so much like every snapchat and instagram filter now. of course if she’s happier this way, who am i to say a thing. however, claiming you haven’t had anything done with such obvious plastic surgery? i don’t know, i don’t like it
Am I the only one who hates the pulled look of a ponytail facelift? In my opinion it doesn't make Bella Hadid prettier at all and I think with Dove it completely erased what made her unique looking
They look scary imo besides that Dove is pale so it kinda freaks me out a bit like a ghost or a corpse, she doesn’t look human but I still love her, she was so present in my teenage years 💔
I agree.. any time she shows the before of a pony tail face lift I can’t help but cringe at the after. It gives a very “maleficent” type look to the face especially when combined with cheek and jaw implants. Very villain like
What gets me is she's had so much work done and she STILL photoshops her images quite drastically on her IG. Crazy that someone so beautiful can have such deep rooted insecurities.
Its honestly so depressing, id imagine being in the entertainment industry and being based in one of the most vapid and soulless place ever. It really could do a number on your mentality.
I didn’t even realize she’s looks so different now. Celebrities do a ton of minor plastic surgery over an extended period of time that unless you really know their faces well enough you wouldn’t catch it. But looking at these photos side by side she’s almost unrecognizable now.
I honestly think her face slimmed down. It happens with so many celebs that grow up on screen going from teen to woman but some people will insist it was all surgery. I'm not doubting any work but when it's this subtle leave them alone.
I think Dove wants to look sexy, so the angular look usually make people look older, sexy or intimidating. While soft look, make people look youthful and innocent.
@@extrashotofespresso_ that youthfulness will be enviable once you start getting older. Trust me. Trust the natural process. I get mistaken for kids 10 yrs younger cuz of my face structure.

i got nauseous as well. it truly is a tragedy. especially the fact that she just cannot accept her God-given natural beauty. it's gone now. no matter what amount of surgery she gets she can't get her original, all natural beauty back :(
What they haven't be able to realise is that you can still love yourself and be positive about you with insecurities and plastic surgery. They can promote self-esteem and self-love with retouches and procedures being done 🤷🏽♀️. Idk why ppl still believe that myth of loving yourself = being "natural".
there’s nothing wrong with getting plastic surgery, it’s your money and your face/body, but what is wrong is promoting an image of self acceptance and unconditional love for yourself and yet denying you’ve had any work done and making people think you’re all natural. especially when she has a lot of younger fans who want to look like her and have her as a natural beauty standard, but in reality she’s been going under the knife since she was a teenager.
People should never treat her like that to begin with. Idolizing people is the real issue here. Learn to love yourself without needing to highlight someone els
@@Clearskies3848 no the issue is lying itself. Idolizing is wrong of course but we cannot just close a blind eye whenever a celeb does something wrong. @blue chimera fr the way she looked in the first movie compared to how she looked in the third movie is drastically different, I guess at the time I was quite naive and I thought it was just genetics or just her aging but now that people are actually talking about it, it makes so much sense.

@@jules2291 "whitewashed Kim Kardashian" it's so wild that we've just grown so accustomed to the Kardashian's blackfishing that we forget that they're actually white in the first place
The eyes are the most extreme for me, because foxy eyes are super trendy, but what happens when big doe eyes become the next thing? What do these people do then?
If they get a surgery to get that “Fox eye” they’re not gonna be able to do anything, but some do botox to achieve that look so maybe they can have they’re big eyes back? Idk
I reckon this surgery is not permanent. If it's true, then the foxy eye may need to be redone in time, so if she doesn't like it by then, it might be possible to undone it(but don't quote me on that xP).
I remember watching an episode of the Doctors where they discusses this procedure with a surgeon who does what was called then the "bedroom eyes" surgery. He said it is reversable but none of his clients had asked for his work to be undone.
Once on her insta a young girl commented on one of her photos, “you’re so pretty I wish I was as pretty as you”. I responded and said “yes, she’s beautiful but it’s also not 100% natural beauty”. After that I couldn’t find dove’s insta and realized that she blocked me💀💀

She’s beautiful but she looks like an entirely different person. I’m genuinely so shocked seeing her in 2021 compared to when I was just a child watching her on Disney. She’s unrecognizable. Beautiful either way, but unrecognizable. I wish she would be honest about it
She was bullied in school, her dad died when she was young, she had depression and a ED, she was also in an abusive relationship when she was in disney.
A mixture of family problems and growing up in the industry. There’s a lot of pressure also fitting in to the Hollywood industry and the need to look a certain way.
It's sad that she felt she had to change so much, she's so pretty naturally. She was born with just that unique cuteness and now everything she's done is just turning her into what looks like some hot instagram model.
She looked fairly regular. Not pretty but regular. But what bothers me is that these people see themselves hideously deformed when they are normal and healthy...
Besides, when most people get it it's done in such a drastic manner! For example, I think Lorry has a video about this but, Blake Lively most likely had a blepharoplasty, but it's very subtle one and she looks so good. Overall, Blake Lively is a great example of conservative procedures and she looks amazing.
True... I believe it's due to the makeup influencer world, where they prefer non hooded eyes to have more space for colorful and intricate eyeshadow looks. Models rarely wear that kind of makeup, as their hooded or semihooded eyes don't suit that makeup, and look better with nothing or little makeup. I have semi hooded eyes (like Kendall Jenner or Adriana Lima), and I love them because I don't need a lot of makeup to make my eyes "pop", just a little eyeliner and sometimes eyeshadow.
I think they look mysterious and wolflike, they're so nice. I think people hate them because it's hard to see eye makeup and the instragram look is so popular for smokey eyes.
As a person with a lot of lid space, I still find my self "obsessing" over people with hooded eyes because colorful eye looks are so beautiful on them. I still use hooded eye looks as my eyeshadow inspiration because I love how they can reshape and emphasize their eyes more.
I was just going to say the same thing. It’s really a shame, I don’t think plastic surgery is the solution to Dove’s incredibly low self esteem. She was so beautiful naturally and it’s scary how much work she’s had done at SUCH a young age.
This literally makes me want to cry. She was so, so naturally beautiful. She still is, don’t get me wrong. Why can’t we see our natural beauty? We all want to look the same. Why can’t we appreciate our unique features? Why do almost all celebrities get plastic surgery? *sigh*
:( We have to try harder for our kids and future generations to teach them they're perfect as they are, and how real beauty and value will always be on the inside 😭🙏🏼
Blame media and beauty companies for telling women they will never be attractive. That’s how they sell product You can’t sell beauty products if your consumers aren’t insecure, right? Beauty companies knew this and it’s the reason why women constantly feel inferior. It’s all about money
@@beckee6282 True! So many factors are involved - from your childhood upbringing, to your friendship circle, to the media, to even our workplace environment!

Dove has been very open about her mental health struggles. Which begs the question is permanent, appearance altering surgery really the right decision to make when feeling mentally unwell? My heart goes out to her.
Hollywood mentally damaged her self esteem and made her think she wasn’t beautiful. I loved her original look, she was way more beautiful and had a unique look. I hate that Hollywood made her think she wasn’t beautiful and needed to change.
I honestly think it would be good medical practice for clinicians to do psych evaluations or pre surgical counselling before deeming someone as fit for such surgeries, especially if they are as young as Dove was when she began as they could be pressured by adult figures in their lives, determining someone's motivation is important.
It’s sad how much cosmetic surgery she’s had at her age and she never needed any of it ‘cause she was a pretty girl & an attractive woman. I wish everyone could be who they are & not try so hard to fit into a mold of what’s “beautiful” and “perfect.”
For me, almost every picture of Dove seems like a different person. It's so strange to see that, even tho most changes were "small", she never seems to have the same face in the pictures.
She has 100 percent acted inappropriately by adamantly denying any cosmetic procedures when she has so many young, impressionable, and even insecure girls looking up to her! It's her business what she does and she doesn't have to tell anyone anything, but I think a more responsible, mature and caring person would have either admitted or atleast not repeatedly denied even the possibility of cosmetic surgery! That's my 2 cents, as respectful as I can be lol.
Well said. I agree 100%. Her choice to try to delude her fans speaks volumes about her as a person, and that's not going to age well, no matter how many surgical procedures she has.
It honestly just looks like she lost her "baby fat" and became an adult. I looked nothing like i did at 25 as i did at 13. It looks like shes had injections but not full surgery.
i mean i think being open about it is even worse of an influence as a entertainer aimed at kids and its very likely it was also apart of her disney contract not to talk about it cuz a lot of disney actors who lied about it come out and say they did get there face done even back then and her only jobs toact and sing she share her prvt life one her own tersm if she dosnt wanna dont ask her too i mean pastic surger comes from deep rooted insecurity 99% of the time in hollywood so it makes sence she's not comftable talking about it i always feel bad for disney stars cuz there pressured so hard make it look like their perfect when they leave they dont know how to be not perfect and to not keep up that act SORRY IF THIS LOOKS LIKE HATE ITS NOT ITS JUST HOW i felt about her situation
I used to stare at photos of Dove and think that she is the most beautiful girl in the world. I wanted her lips, her cheeks, her eyes.... I had no idea that young celebrities were getting any of these procedures. I still think she is drop dead gorgeous, but it’s a relief to not compare myself to her and to other celebrities who have had all these intense surgeries. I really worry about her young fans, as well. It’s hard enough growing up as little girl, but it makes it even harder when your comparing your face to girls who have spent thousands and thousands to look like that. Im not a young girl and I recall being quite depressed when i compared myself to Dove, because i thought her beauty was all natural. Im not against plastic surgery at all, but i do wish people would disclose it so that it doesnt become a normalized idea that we are just surrounded by all these beautiful people who are just born perfect and there’s no hope for the rest of us mere mortals 😅
Why would u be depressed even if all that was natural it still wouldn’t take anything away from your own beauty. It’s nothing to be depressed over just cause u deem someone else prettier than you. There will always be someone prettier than you in life even for dove with all that plastic surgery.
I just want to give Dove a hug; plastic surgery or no. She has had a lot of death in her life for someone so young, and growing up a child star and landing a transition to mainstream popularity is especially brutal. And who knows, she could be under contract to do all sorts of things she doesn’t feel comfortable with.
My issue is not with Dove herself, or cosmetic surgery, but the fact that she started so YOUNG. What are we doing to today's young people that they feel they need to get a rhinoplasty at 16? You haven't even fully grown into your face at that age. I'm the same age as Dove, and about a year ago I was also thinking I needed Plastic surgery, and found out my friends had secretly been too. Thank goodness we confided in each other and laughed off the idea, because I realised I really like the way I look without surgery. If I was considering it when I've been happy with the way I've looked all my life, then I'm really worried for the younger generation.
it's crazy. Why don't people want to look like themselves anymore? I get that Hollywood has always been about plastic surgery, but celebrities have a huge influence on their audiences.
If people want to get plastic surgery at a young age, let them. You don’t know how much their insecurities has affected them and their way of life. It’s weird to judge others on getting something that can make them feel better about themselves.
I think because of social media people are unhappy I mean everyone uses filters or have pictures photoshopped so they look perfect but it's just an illusion I've seen people in real life who look different then how they are online it was different 20 or 30 years ago you were only unhappy when you would see celebrities on tv or on magazines but you would have to go to the store to buy the magazine or turn the tv on now you see them everyday 24/7 on your phone when back then it was only for a few days
@@uhicanexplain3858 I think you're missing the point slightly here. It's not about judging young people for getting plastic surgery, it's about asking WHY they feel they need Plastic surgery at a young age. Why have they hyperanalysed themselves to the point where they want to change themselves, when they haven't even fully grown into their features yet. The big bad is not the young people going to get surgery, the big bad is that society is making women and girls feel worse and worse about themselves at younger and younger ages. We wouldn't know there was a problem with how we look, until brands, social media, magazines etc point out there's a problem with how we look.

Sometimes what people can withstand is amazing. I'm surprised that as strong as I thought she was she's not as strong as she says she is. If she has not lasted that long without being in a relationship then I guess there are probably around a good 70-80% of people that are stronger than her in this world maybe even 90%. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing...it's just that sometimes maybe some people are hurting a little bit more and they never really get acknowledged, which in turn is painful for me to find out in the first place. I hate hearing about the sort of pain certain people had to endure. She should count herself extremely lucky. 🤔 She needs someone to tell her how lucky she is and everything she has going for her because it looks like she doesn't see it at all and in turn she should never read the comments anywhere because well people have a tendency for hurting others easily when they don't know their exact situations. People can be pretty heartless if they don't know what you've been through and also if they don't know you personally.
Her story just makes me sad- lost her dad in a tragic way, and shortly after that got a ton of surgery done so she could get roles on disney channel. she was ONLY 15 which is waaaayy too young to get any type of surgery, and she was going through intense grief. Becoming a star in hollywood alone is enough to make someone develop very severe self esteem issues, and this all complied it. her mom has written a book as a "hollywood parents guide" and has a business related to this...but she let all this be done to her daughter as a young teen. She is trying to look look like the blond Miranda kerr... Dove also photoshops EVERY instagram photo (not only filters, she is actually making herself look slimmer)
In one of her pictures with her friends she edited her waist extremely unrealistically slim and the edges around her waist was blurry but she tried to cover it up as much as she can meanwhile her friend looked completely normal.
I knew she had surgery since I saw her on an episode of Shameless. I feel like she got all the surgery to make herself look like Miranda Kerr who was very popular as a Victoria Secret model at the time
Comparison is the problem. Girls will want to look like her and be sad when they can't. But if Dove comes out and says I've had all this plastic surgery they'll want to do that too. It's just all toxic and we need to stop idolizing celebs.
I was thinking about it. If they dont tell they "promote" unrealistic beauty standard, if they tell people will acuse her of promoting plastic surgery.
Exactlyyy. It’s gonna be hard for the celeb too. No matter what they do, there are gonna be insecure young girls. It isn’t just as simple. You can’t just admit.
Now she's dating Damiano David, lead singer of the Italian rock band Maneskin and seems really happy, but her Bratz Doll face looks so odd next to his, which is clearly just a natural human face. My heart goes out to these very young people, even children in this case, who come to believe they need to tweak a face which is still blossoming and developing. Very sad.
How can she actually think people will believe that her looks are natural? It’s pretty obvious to me how much her face has changed. Our faces just don’t change that drastically naturally. People like Dove are why I have trust issues 😆 It’s crazy someone would emphasize how natural their image is when that clearly is not the case!! Sad.
It mostly annoys me because it seems like she thinks we're stupid.. but she's not really wrong considering that most of her fans deny she has had any work done, so..
I don't wanna be that person but Im 16 now and I look completely different from what I looked like as a child. My brown eyes became amber as I got older(it happens in my family) my top lip got bigger and my eyebrows became darker. If I ever became famous I'd be accused of surgery lmao
I know! I know I am pretty and confident in my skin. But it took me forever to accept my round baby face. Because the standard for "pretty" is a tiny chin and high cheekbones. Seriously f standards
@@cassieh5506 SAME i have a really round and big nouse and also small lips so i kinda battle everyday with the strougle of no fitting the standard AT ALL. You know, nowadays all I see it's girls with tiny and structured noses and huge lips :/
The fact that these people in their early twenties are getting procedures to have a sculpted face is so crazy. I'm 27 and believe me, by that age, your face has begun to lose the baby fat; my face looks slimmer and a bit more defined than in my teens/early 20's. Imagine the people that has gotten buccal fat removal, micro-liposuction to their cheeks and more: they will have to compensate with fillers by the time they're 30 :(
@@StrawberryBlond21 True... my mom had a round face until she was 28-30. She resembled a teen even at that age. Between 30-35 she lost the baby fat, and has had a very defined jawline ever since.
She was so cute as a kid. Idk why parents sign off on these surgeries for young kids. I really hope its all reputable and as she ages it doesn't hurt her.
She doesn't even look like the "Liv and Maddie" I'm used to. She doesn't really look like herself anymore, and honestly that's heartbreaking to me. It's really hard to imagine people doing this to themselves just for the fun of it, though I know there are some incredibly vain folk out there (like a certain "K" family) but it's just really depressing to see Dove change so much about herself just to please people. She just blends into the instagram model crowd at this point and it's just a loss I guess. Even though it's not my body not my choice and obviously has no impact on me, I'm just strongly against cosmetic surgery. It seems like cosmetic things are pretty fleeting, standards change so you always will too.
If Dove changed herself for everyone else, yes that's bad. If Dove changed herself for herself, then it's good. I do agree she was very pretty before and have wondered, "why, why would she do that?" But who am I to judge, since Dove's opinion on herself matters the most
I remember seeing her on Disney Channel and being like "damn, I wish I looked like that." It never even occurred to me it was plastic surgery at a young age, I thought she was just naturally given a distinct face unlike any other Disney channel star I'd seen before. Your videos really help me stop comparing my own looks to celebrities, thank you Lorry.
Ditto. I had NO idea even after someone said to me she went crazy with plastic surgery I was like when must have been recent. No. Not recent. I just didn't notice. She looks so different.
Dove was so beautiful before and after-but I hate that she’s consistently lied about getting plastic surgery. I think that’s wrong. I just think of my younger self and how I would’ve believed her and would be so frustrated that puberty didn’t give me her “glow up.”
Honestly my only issue is that she was an actress on Disney channel- kids don’t have any idea she’s had work done, and then are comparing themselves to this unreal standard. I remember being a preteen watching descendants in awe that some people could be born so perfect, it’s kind of messed up 😅
@@KMranking It's not "disney stars cant ever have work done" its "she has a fanbase of mostly children and claiming obvious cosmetic procedures are natural when most people who look up to her are young & impressionable is wrong"
I worry about people like Dove. Absolutely gorgeous people (by social standards) who start young and continuously have alterations just screams an unresolved crippling pain and deeper insecurity that can eventually destroy/alter their life, career, or health.
I'm starting to really not get the ponytail lift obsession... It totally takes away the soft, feminine and youthful beauty of a young woman and makes her look so much more harsh and artificial.
Specially with Bella Hadid. Don't get me wrong, she looks GORGEOUS through and through, but she looks like 20 years older now? It's so weird. She looks older than her older sister. I think she should have embraced the curvy face she was given and keep it. I personally don't think plastic surgery is bad, but I feel like it would have been better if she still kept the parts that make her herself
I try to let my daughter know how much work these people have done. I know I would compare myself to my favorite celebs as a preteen and teen. Fortunately no matter what Dove looks like, my daughter won't even get her eyebrows waxed so I guess I'm good there for a while.
Good for your daughter! I have lived my whole life in Hollywood, but I have never felt pressured to alter myself in any way. I, personally, find cosmetic surgery to be terrifying and, in so many cases, unnecessary. Of course, I don't judge those who do choose that route, but it's just not for me. I am in my early 30s, but like your daughter, I have still never waxed my eyebrows, or even plucked them, for that matter. (Then again, that's because I really don't have very thick eyebrows, to begin with, and no stray hairs...that is neither here nor there though, I suppose)! The most I'll do to myself, is change my hairstyle/color!!😋
My first few brushes with beauty procedures were when I was 10 and my mom took me to thread my eyebrows. It was amaaaazing. That's our mother-daughter bonding activity, coming out of there brows on fleek hahaha
Lorry, I've just recently found you and your positivity is so radiant. All the celebs were beautiful before and after and I appreciate that you mention that as well as reminding all of us that we're beautiful as we are now, and the cost to look different or be beautiful in a different way is quite high. Bless you xxx
Thank you for this video!! My daughter is so into the Descendants movies and the changes Dove has made (without any transparency) make me so uncomfortable. I appreciate having this in my tool belt to discuss at home.
This one makes me sad because she is so young. She hasn't even grown into her face, and has FULLY changed it. She doesn't even look like the same person anymore. I thought I was going crazy thinking she had work done, because she kept denying it
I used to do watch her on Disney. I’ve known for years that she’s gotten plastic surgery. I unfollowed her on ig because it was so obvious and she never said anything about it while girls in her comments were saying how perfect she is! Yes she’s beautiful but I hate liars. It’s so unfair to the girls thinking this is possible without surgery.
totally agree. i think transparency is especially important when your fan base is primarily young women who are impressionable and most often their self worth is based on what they see in social media.
@@dazem8 you know what being transparent for celebrities actually is? Almost risking their career. Admitting to surgery is gonna be a hassle for anyone who is famous. People might use it against them, they might get anxiety. It’s embarrassing too. Know about all the sides of the story, not just one.
My dad is an MD and I asked him to explain it to me. Basically the way your body chemistry is composed you can have two reactions when you have cool sculpting done. You can have the reaction where the fat cells are passed in your urine, or your fat cells can increase. I would never suggest cool sculpting because of this.
@@Alexandra_Wolf I made and really worth it in my case, but who intends to do, must follow a very restrict procedure after the cool sculpture, like avoid certain time of meats, cut sugar, foods that has fat in it, cut the alcohol, you cannot take hot showers , and avoid to do exercises at first 48 hours, otherwise this might cause several transformations like the one in linda, and also after the coolsculpting, there's another procedures that must be made like lymphatic drainage and massages.
Broo she doesn't even look like herself anymore which is sad because she was so beautiful and unique!! When will people realize that we are all perfect the way we are :,)
It's sad that all the celebs are not addressing their plastic procedures :( thank you for making this video... her and Bella's "beauty" is 100% fabricated and it's not fair that they said that it's all natural...
@GAY RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS Isn't it?? Like I don't know why people feel entitled to private information about someone's body, it's honestly a little strange.
@GAY RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS yes ppl don't own anyone an explanation but it's wrong to promote self-acceptance when u've had a ridiculous amount of surgery done especially if u're really famous and ppl look up to u...it's wrong to lie abt it and say it's all natural when it isn't...that's the problem
@@genevievetseka9209 Why? Did you ever think that possibly they’re preaching self acceptance because they don’t want other people to feel that way they feel about their self? perhaps self-love goes beyond superficial appearance values and you shouldn’t just be focusing on surface level things. And perhaps you shouldn’t be basing your self-worth on how much you resemble somebody you see online. Perhaps instead of basing how you feel beautiful on beauty standards, you base it on yourself. And perhaps we should be teaching that to young girls and not” hey just get plastic surgery you can look just as good as them.” I think people are focusing on the wrong thing.
Could you do Emma Roberts? She looks different. Fuller lips, higher cheeks and her chin is different. I'd love a video on her, her work is never talked about.
Ah man, I used to love Emma Roberts since Scream Queens, she's a great actress, but there have been proof of her abusing her boyfriend/husband (can't remember his name but it'd be easy to find it after googling it) and now I can't even phantom enjoying a neutral content about her like a Lorry's videos. Damn.
Its her business, she looks great but its definitely snowballing. Thats a lot of surgery for someone so young. Its very sad, she must have been very insecure or pressured. I can understand having one or two things done to make yourself feel good but its excessive and she does play a part to influencing her fans. Its crazy of her to pretend she is natural when we can clearly see she is not. We have have eyes.
I honestly feel so bad for her. She probably felt like she needed it Bc of bullying & Disney’s expectations. And she has to deal with millions of ppl screaming at her, demanding her to open up abt whether or not she has had plastic surgery & she doesn’t even love herself enough yet because despite all the work, she still photoshops herself in every post. I can’t imagine being that broken with that many people simultaneously looking up to me & looking down on me. Scary to even think abt
This drives me absolutely wild. I sat my teenage nieces down and told them about everything I’ve had done, why I had it done and how many years I contemplated having it done because I don’t want to lie to them and make them think that looking the way celebrities do is normal. Dove is absolutely stunning… there’s no doubt about that. But actively shooting down plastic surgery rumors when it’s so obvious can cause so much harm to younger generations.
@GAY RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS Well, if they are responsible, empathetic human beings, they would have an awareness of their influence on impressionable young fans and therefore do the responsible thing by choosing NOT to misinform / lie to them.
@GAY RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS I agree that its no one’s business, however if Doge didn’t want to admit to plastic surgery, she could have ignored the rumors and went on to her day. But she chose to lie and deny everything, which is when people have the right to get bad.
Agreed. I saw the thumbnail and thought “that’s no way her. That’s a different person next to her” but unfortunately it is her. It’s insane how different she looks now.
It's so evil that before Disney kids were relatable and pretty but now they are not attainable to young girls and the bar is set at a fantasy level. It's horrible. My little sister was Iooking at her in awe one day and I had to show her the before picture to love her natural beauty. So freaking sad.
i know it's just photos and we don't know her at all, but as the photos/transformation goes on it's like i can see the light leaving her eyes. can't imagine the horrors she's had to deal with growing up in the entertainment industry.
I'm getting REAL tired of celebs feeling like it's okay to lie about their plastic surgery but then promote self-acceptance.
@Oh OF COURSE they have the right to not talk about their plastic surgery. But then to tell everyone to accept themselves as they are... moral hypocrisy. Doing one thing and saying another absolutely make their words less acceptable.

i have watched her since liv and maddie (i was around 12 when it first aired). i then saw her on decendants, 1st movie she looked quite similar but in character obviously, by the time the 2nd movie came along, she looked insanely different. big lips, a more sculpted face and brow lift etc. she then just suddenly looked more and more different over time and my 14-16 y/o self was confused bc she was gorgeous. its moments like these that make 'regular' boys and girls assume they aren't good enough if 'celebs' like these that we admire dont even feel that way.

The craziest thing is that Dove's natural face was once the beauty standard hundreds of years ago. Supple cheeks, big eyes, thin lips. Portraits of queens and princesses were even painted ("retouched") that way.
Thinner lips suit MANY faces waaaaayayyyayyyy better than big lips

While I agree 100% at the sad irony of changing beauty standards through time. Im probably gonna get flamed for saying this but I dont think thin lips look that great on a person with a round face. I know its controversial to say anything positive about cosmetic procedures, but Dove looked better after that first set of lip fillers. If she wouldve just stopped there her face wouldve been more balanced while keeping the natural features that made her face memorable.

IKR , its so sad tbh .. .

She looked fairly regular. Not pretty but regular. But what bothers me is that these people see themselves hideously deformed when they are normal and healthy...
Hooded eyes are literally so pretty. So many models have them. Why do people hate them so much 🤦🏽♀️
Besides, when most people get it it's done in such a drastic manner!
I dislike mines sometimes because you can't really see the eyeshadow!
She’s meant to have a baby face- I feel like she looks better with less structure.
Even in 2017 with mainly filler she looks better than she does now.
*sigh*

@@Anna-xh6fk I agree! Teenagers should not be allowed to have plastic surgeries unless there is a legit, medical reason.

Imagine the people that has gotten buccal fat removal, micro-liposuction to their cheeks and more: they will have to compensate with fillers by the time they're 30 :(
You shouldn't listen to it you're going to regret. Look at aelena she kept her baby face and stays looking young asf
Me too. I thought she was so pretty, and even was a little jealous
Wouldn’t call it a glow up
Honestly my only issue is that she was an actress on Disney channel- kids don’t have any idea she’s had work done, and then are comparing themselves to this unreal standard. I remember being a preteen watching descendants in awe that some people could be born so perfect, it’s kind of messed up 😅
Dove is super open with her being not natural? So it’s not on her fault if someone doesn’t know.
so becasue shes a disney star she cant get plastic surgery and actully be happy with how she look? thats messed up.
I mean, the beauty standard isn’t “soft & pretty” anymore, it’s artificial😭😭
It's a model sculpted look.
@@davidkonevky7372 wait bella is younger than gigi??
@@pineappleonpizza4164 yes!
don’t compare yourself to someone who doesn’t even look like themself
I try to let my daughter know how much work these people have done. I know I would compare myself to my favorite celebs as a preteen and teen. Fortunately no matter what Dove looks like, my daughter won't even get her eyebrows waxed so I guess I'm good there for a while.
Yes 🙌
I think the fact that she started at 16(!!) shows that there were probably adults pushing her to change her physical appearance. This feels quite sad
Tbh i feel like if her father was still alive he wouldnt let her do as much not nessecerly by forbiding but talking this out of her mind
Lorry said she thinks Dove got her first plastic surgery (rhinoplasty) at 12 though...
It’s wild to me that she got so much work done at a young age before her face fully developed. I’m 23 now and I look different than 18-19
same!! my face has changed so much. i used to be really self conscious of my chubby cheeks in my early teens but they went away overtime
@@gracebee8653 same. my features had changed too like my nose became more straight and longer and my face became more sharp and longer
Same😂
seeing her doing this to herself constantly and since she was so young is terrifying to me
she was so young that it’s actually her mother doing this to her
Its normal in usa , korea and brazil

Thank you for this video!! My daughter is so into the Descendants movies and the changes Dove has made (without any transparency) make me so uncomfortable. I appreciate having this in my tool belt to discuss at home.
Aww these are my FAVORITE types of comments; thank you so much for reminding me why I make these videos 🥰🙏🏻
@@LorryHill So true! Even her own boyfriend was surprised when he learned her dimples weren't real!
@@LorryHill How much is dimple surgery? And is it true there are potential long-term side effects? Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
This one makes me sad because she is so young. She hasn't even grown into her face, and has FULLY changed it. She doesn't even look like the same person anymore. I thought I was going crazy thinking she had work done, because she kept denying it
yeah me too!
Right? Like I think unless it’s reconstructive surgery, there needs to be a limit age for plastic surgery since people grow into their faces
Up
@@dazem8 you know what being transparent for celebrities actually is? Almost risking their career. Admitting to surgery is gonna be a hassle for anyone who is famous. People might use it against them, they might get anxiety. It’s embarrassing too. Know about all the sides of the story, not just one.
Please do Linda Evangelista. It would be interesting to understand more about the procedure that left her disfigured
Oh man... Yes... Such a sad story 😞
My dad is an MD and I asked him to explain it to me. Basically the way your body chemistry is composed you can have two reactions when you have cool sculpting done. You can have the reaction where the fat cells are passed in your urine, or your fat cells can increase. I would never suggest cool sculpting because of this.
Yessss !
@@Alexandra_Wolf what about sculpsure?
It's sadder because they were gorgeous to begin with
@GAY RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS Isn't it??
I don't think they need to? Isn't it their business?
Could you do Emma Roberts? She looks different. Fuller lips, higher cheeks and her chin is different. I'd love a video on her, her work is never talked about.
I feel maybe buccal fat was removed too.
she definitely looks different! I was so shocked !!
@@maroonhorizon1693 Omg right! She's not someone who's known to have work done like Dove Cameron and Kylie Jenner, her work is subtle and tasteful.
Damn.
@@lauragoreni3020 phantom!!!
She changed everything that made her look unique, such a shame.
She looks like a different person in every photo…she was soooo beautiful 😔
Its her business, she looks great but its definitely snowballing. Thats a lot of surgery for someone so young. Its very sad, she must have been very insecure or pressured. I can understand having one or two things done to make yourself feel good but its excessive and she does play a part to influencing her fans. Its crazy of her to pretend she is natural when we can clearly see she is not. We have have eyes.
What do you mean by snowballing ?
Cee Bee snowballing means a situation that’s out of control. Basically she trying to say that’s too much surgery to have that young
@@ceebee8255 she's gone way too far and with each passing year she's getting more and more done in a shorter amount of time
I honestly feel so bad for her.
@@Wee162 it’s a troll account made 4 months ago. They always have positive quotes and phrasing’s to make the group in it look bad.
@GAY RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS I agree that its no one’s business, however if Doge didn’t want to admit to plastic surgery, she could have ignored the rumors and went on to her day. But she chose to lie and deny everything, which is when people have the right to get bad.
It is they keep commenting the same copy paste about privacy on this vid. What a brain dead take. Shes a public figure.
They should make it illegal to lie about celebrity plastic surgery
I haven’t seen her in a while, she doesn’t even look like herself TBH.
She’s starting to look more and more like Trisha Paytas
Right? The lips are too much
I think she looks like young Madonna
i know it's just photos and we don't know her at all, but as the photos/transformation goes on it's like i can see the light leaving her eyes. can't imagine the horrors she's had to deal with growing up in the entertainment industry.
